Chapter 246 - Discussing The Next Move

246 Ch. 246 Discussing The Next Move

The first time Elliot met Richard in London, Elliot felt that his father was amiable, and Elliot adored his father. The man didn’t even shoo him away or act cold toward him.

Despite not knowing Elliot was his son, Richard allowed him to touch and hold the man’s hand. Richard’s hands weren’t delicate, but Elliot liked his father’s hands—it was big and warm in his tiny hands.

But when his father came in and fought with his mother, Elliot prayed that that person should let his guard down and be defeated by his mother. He was relieved that his mother was not injured and that the man did not beat his mother with less force than his size.

Who would have thought that this big man was his father?

And when his mother introduced him to Richard, Elliot already suspected that the person before him was his father. But… for some reason, Elliot felt scared and doubtful.

He still couldn’t see the person’s face because a black cloth covered half of the face. But when the man pulled down the cloth covering his face, Elliot felt extraordinarily happy because he was in the same room with his parents.

He thought back to how his father had fought and cornered his mother, and for some reason, his vision changed one hundred and eighty degrees instantly. At first, Elliot hoped that this person would experience an accident or disaster, and now, he was even amazed by his father’s ability.

Elliot was about to run to his father because he adored Richard so much… even more excited to meet his father than his mother.

However, he remembered how his mother reacted when Anxia discovered he was her son, so Elliot’s feet stopped.

.....

Plus, his father’s vibe was completely different from what he remembered. At this time, Richard looked domineering and made him very afraid. He knew his father’s body was towering and big while he felt like an insignificant ant. 𝐟𝘳𝐞ℯ𝚠e𝑏𝒏𝑜𝙫𝘦𝙡. c𝑜𝐦

But when he met his father in London, Elliot was not afraid and dared to approach the man. Now… Elliot suddenly didn’t have the courage to approach Richard and feared his father would reject him.

So he decided to stay silent and wait. He had even mentally prepared himself that there was a possibility that his father would not want to admit him. He didn’t expect his father to get down on one knee and hold out an arm toward him.

How would Elliot know that Richard treated Lori as a princess even when he didn’t know that Lori was his daughter? Not to mention, Elliot was his son... how could he not treat Elliot as best as he treats Lori?

“Elliot, come here. I want to see you.”

Upon hearing his father’s gentle voice, Elliot’s fear and worry immediately vanished. With unhurried steps, Elliot walked over to his father and placed his hand on his father’s large hand.

Seeing the doubt and worry in his son’s beautiful eyes, Richard pulled Elliot’s hand gently toward him. Then his other hand gripped the child’s tiny hand firmly but not painfully.

Elliot blinked a few times in embarrassment as his father looked him straight in the eyes, making Richard smile, amused.

“He really has your eyes,” stated Richard, inviting a smile from Anxia.

Anxia remembered Richard had also said the same thing when they met this kid at Kensington Park. Ah…. if they had known that the boy they met in Kensington Park was their son, Anxia and Richard would have taken Elliot straight home and ensured his safety at their home.

“But he has your smile,” Anxia replied. “When he smiles, I feel like I see you smiling at me.”

“I see. I can’t wait to see you smile, then. Can you do it now?” Richard’s unexpected shameless request made Elliot lower his head with a blush on his cheek.

“Well, well. I didn’t know you could be this timid, Elliot,” stated Anxia in disbelief. “He’s never been this timid with me.”

Richard chuckled at his wife’s complaints. “Well, I guess this shyness comes from you.”

“Hey!” Anxia’s protest made Richard laugh as he stroked the top of Elliot’s head, which made Elliot even more embarrassed to be speechless.

“So… you don’t want to go home because of Elliot?”

“You want us to leave him alone here?”

“No.”

“That’s why I can’t go back with you.”

Richard sighed, placed his fingertips under his son’s chin, and slowly guided the boy’s head up.

“Elliot, how about coming with us? I will introduce you to Lori, and I’m sure you two will become close pals in no time.”

Elliot shook his head firmly, refusing his offer.

“Why not? You don’t want to live with us?”

Elliot opened his mouth to answer, but for some reason, he couldn’t find his voice, fearing that he might say the wrong thing and make his father hate him. Hence, she glanced at her mother with pleading eyes to help her explain to Richard.

Anxia also knelt to be at eye level with her son so Elliot’s neck wouldn’t feel sore from looking up so often.

“Richard, it’s a very long story. All along, the person who looked after Elliot and looked after him was Jamie.” Anxia recounted all of Jamie’s services in caring for her comatose father and accompanying Elliot while her mother was busy taking care of Di Sha.

Richard nodded, understanding that his son did not want to leave Jamie, who had been an extra mother for five years. But he couldn’t understand why it wasn’t Loraine Shu who held the highest position in Elliot’s heart.

Wouldn’t most people love their grandchildren more than their children? Wouldn’t all young children feel closer and want to be with their grandmother or grandfather more than their parents? But the first person Elliot approached when the boy had an issue was Jamie, who is entirely unrelated to him.

“And one more. I plan to take my father away from here. Even though it looked like my dad was getting intensive and thorough treatment right now, I didn’t believe my mom. I want to ensure my father’s care until my father regains consciousness.”

Richard nodded once again. “I will call the medical team to prepare all your father’s needs. Is there anything more you want?”

Richard and Anxia didn’t notice the astonished look from Elliot, who was looking at his father with adoration. His father seemed more charismatic when discussing something serious with his mother.

When he grows up, he wants to be like his father!

“I’m going to infiltrate Diego’s house.” came the sudden announce from Anxia, baffling Richard in disbelief.
