Chapter 213 - 212: A bigger threat

(Host...)

"What system?" Void asked with a grin.

(A more powerful being has taken notice of you.)

"Ahaha, oh really?" Void laughed, glancing at the blood on his palm.

"It's been a while since I bled... I'm amazed," he said, watching the five figures charging toward him.

"Ignore what he's saying. Press on—and be careful," the leader said grimly. Something felt wrong—and he wasn't the only one who sensed it.

"I'm amused... excited even. But your path to power is lacking. You can bend the law to your will, yet you have no control over it." Void paused as the five suddenly vanished, retreating millions of light-years away.

Void appeared right in front of them instantly.

"You don't understand any law," Void said calmly.

"Kneel."

His voice was indifferent, but the force behind it struck like a divine command. A terrifying pressure crashed down on them, forcing their knees to bend in the emptiness of space.

Void chuckled.

"Hahahahahaha... hahahaha..." He covered his face with his palm as he laughed, his heartbeat pounding like war drums.

He walked toward the female who had attacked him first.

"Repugnant," he said coldly, gripping her head.

Puff. Splash.

Her head exploded, her body collapsing forward—but the dense space prevented it from moving an inch.

Void grabbed her bleeding neck and flung the corpse with a casual flick. Space cracked as her body tore through layers until it entered the first layer of space.

Before her lay a black hole.

The body smashed into it—yet suffered no damage. The black hole swallowed stars and galaxies, but it couldn't destroy her corpse. Her blood spilled and spread, disintegrating everything in its path. Every drop contained the energy of a universe.

"Now that one is taken care of... you're next," Void said.

Their eyes filled with despair. As Rank 3 beings, they couldn't truly die—only their bodies could be destroyed. They would reincarnate into new forms, rapidly regaining their strength and eventually returning to the multi-universal realm. But starting over meant falling behind. And though rebirth was possible, no one wanted to go through it—not when others would be growing stronger in the meantime.

Yet, despite knowing they'd live again, the terror of death remained.

That suffocating force still bound them—they couldn't speak, couldn't move—only watch as Void killed them one by one.

Finally, he reached the strongest of the five.

Void ripped out his heart—then crushed it.

The man remained alive.

Void crushed his head and tossed his body into the void.

Why did they die, if they could be reborn?

At Rank 3, even without following the law path, a being possessed enough energy to harm others of the same rank. If a quasi-Rank 3 had destroyed a Rank 3's body, another body would have instantly formed.

But Void was Rank 3—and stronger than them. That's why he could truly destroy their forms.

***********

As their bodies were obliterated, a being at the middle level of the multi-universal realm appeared.

"Mmm... You did this?" a voice echoed as a figure emerged before Void.

Void was taller—but the newcomer's aura dwarfed his.

He was young in appearance, but carried an otherworldly presence. His aura, though restrained, was vast and terrifying. Dressed casually, his handsome form stood tall. His toned body was visible through his clothes—perfectly streamlined, not overly bulky like General Drezan's massive frame, but built with precision.

"And you are?" Void asked calmly.

"The ancestor of the Hollowind family," the man replied, causing Void's eyes to narrow.

Linkir had told Void all about the aristocratic families. He had never heard of Hollowind.

"You can call me Hollowind. You're the leader of the new organization... but you're from outside."

Without waiting, Hollowind touched Void's chest. Void frowned.

(Host, a mark has been placed on you. If you move beyond five universes apart from yours, it will be detected. However, host can break it in demon form.)

"Nice system... but I'll let it be," Void thought, grinning.

"They want to limit me... control me. Hahaha. Let's see where this goes."

If he transformed into his demon form, they would send someone—or worse, start an all-out war. It wasn't worth it. Besides, they hadn't sealed him—it was just a harmless mark.

"You..." Void said, pretending to be shocked.

"Don't worry, it's not a seal. With this, you're welcome to our multi-universe," Hollowind said.

"Don't do anything to ruin it."

With that, Hollowind vanished, leaving Void alone.

Void grinned.

"System... this multi-universe?" he trailed off.

(Many terrifying beings stronger than you exist here. Most are ancestors—like him. They've existed for countless mythological years.)

PS: Time Measurements

1 year

Decade – 10 years

Century – 100 years

Millennium – 1,000 years

Ten Millennia – 10,000 years

Hundred Millennia – 100,000 years

Megaannum – 1,000,000 (1 million) years

Gigaannum – 1,000,000,000 (1 billion )years

Universal Era – 1,000,000,000,000 (1 trillion )years

> After each Universal Era, the universe undergoes a cleansing. All beings are destroyed and new ones are born.

The energy released from death is stronger than the energy used for creation—thus, stronger lifeforms emerge in the next era.

This terrifying evolutionary process was designed by the universe itself to improve.

At high enough realms, beings can survive this cycle—or wield artifacts to resist it.

Mythological Era – 1,000,000,000,000 Universal Eras

> Unlike the universe, the multi-universe does not cleanse itself.

A Mythological Era is simply how the age of a multi-universe is counted.

"Wow... I see now," Void said with a smile.
