Chapter 12

12. Cheerfully at the Festival

My first town visit should have been spent cheerfully, but I only feel like sinking into the ground now that I’m cross dressing.

Alex’s present was a pink dress.

The sky is clear, contrasting my feelings. It’s a weather ideal for a festival day.

Urie is already waiting at the palace gates.

He’s not in his Knight uniform but in a nobleman’s clothing.

“Urie, sorry for the wait!”

It’s embarassing so I hang my head while greeting Urie.

“Eh, could you be Haruto?”

That’s right. You’re definitely right.

“Yes, it’s me,” When I looked up, Urie stared at me for several seconds then burst into laughter.

“What’s with that transformation? Is this a side benefit~?”

He grasped my arm and linked our hands together.

“Then shall we go, My Lady?”

I crushed Urie’s hand in a maximum tight grip when he continued making fun of me.

My first town visit is full of fun things.

People who pass by turn back for a second glance to Urie.

Feeling haughty somehow, I inadvertently stuck close to him as we walk.

When Urie’s arm displayed a considerable power in the shooting booth, the shopkeeper made a troubled expression.

However, the gentleman Urie only chose a yellow stuffed bear among the prizes. Both I and the shopkeeper turned red at the same time.

We fully enjoyed the festival without reservations, then visited a bento box shop to buy a souvenir for Alex.

The bento boom in the castle spread as far as the town, stores specializing in bento boxes are now open.

Alex, who can do almost everything with magic, still takes my bento everyday until now.

As a thank-you for all his troubles, I want to give him something that can be useful.

I also purchased a bracelet with a blue magic stone to express my gratitude to Urie for accompanying me.

Although I say it is a magic stone, it’s just around the level of a so-called power stone.

On the way back, I decided to hand over the bracelet to Urie.

“Urie, thanks for today. Because of you, it was a fun day.”

Here’s a gift, I pushed it to him in order to hide my embarrassment.

“Thanks. This is also from me. I unconsciously bought it since Haruto likes purple flowers very much.”

He presented me an earring of a blooming purple flower. It’s way too different with wisteria flowers but I’m glad of Urie’s sympathy, causing my smile to overflow.

Later, Alex cheerfully reported about the uproar in high society about Urie having a girlfriend.

Please excuse me for reflexively throwing the souvenir bento box at him.
