Zhao Yao continued to swing Dust Ball around.
In another location found in Jiangmen City, there was a grand mansion with a lobby the size of Zhao Yao’s villa. 𝒇r𝙚𝙚𝓌𝙚𝑏𝗻𝑜𝘷𝗲𝘭.c૦𝑚
There was a long table made in France with 6 chairs surrounding the table. Each chair had their own “cat seat” which resembled the looks of children dining chairs.
The cats would gently tap on the bell placed on the chair’s hand rest and a helper would attend to them promptly. The cats would then point to the dish they wanted and the helpers would serve them the dish and feed them.
There was a spread of cat dishes on the table and every single dish looked simply delectable. If Zhao Yao’s dish resembled the looks of normal human food, the dishes served on the table would be equivalent to a full 10-course French meal.
Every single dish was prepared with extra emphasis placed on the aesthetic appeal of the dish; each dish was heavily decorated with garnish.
Besides being aesthetically appealing, every dish went through a series of trial and error and scientific research in order to cater to the cats’ dietary preferences and nutritional needs.
All the 6 cats belonged to precious breeds like the Persian, Garfield and American shorthair with the exception of a small cat with orange spots on its white fur.
The ringing of bells was often accompanied by occasional soft purring, creating a harmonious, picturesque scene.
Resting on a couch not far from the table, a young man with long hair admired the scene from afar.
“Isn’t it the most blissful thing in the world? Seeing my little angels having their meal with a satisfied expression on their face...”
Standing beside him was a middle-aged man wearing a tuxedo. He concurred as he nodded, “Indeed, Master.” The middle-aged man received a phone call and picked up the call. His face changed when he heard the news and informed the long-haired man. “Master, something bad has happened to Bighead and Fat Dragon. They have been caught by the police.”
“Hmm? I recall that they went to the find the cat living in the mall. Are there any updates?”
“I’ll send some people to check at the station.” The middle-aged man replied, “They have been attacked by humans and the cat has also been stolen away by them.”
Upon hearing this, a thick green vein popped up on his head. “Are you saying that someone stole one of my cats?”
“It’s not just that. According to Bighead, the person has the ability to shift time, telekinesis and control someone’s body...”
“Multiple powers? You mean his body has the ability to control all that power?” The young man gave a questionable look. “With the addition of the cat from the mall, he has at least four supercats in his possession which means that he could control four different powers now. I’ve never heard of someone who can manipulate multiple powers...”
The young man mumbled, “This guy is way too dangerous... We must rescue all the supercats.”
He stood up and stomped back and forth around the lobby. “4 supercats... Who knows what this fellow would do to them. Humans covet the power of supercats. Apostles like the dangerous man simply did not see those supercats as living objects; they only yearned to gain their powers.”
“With four supercats in his hand, what if he decides to torture all of them? After forcing them to give him their powers, who knows if he might end up mistreating and threatening the supercats after gaining his newfound powers? With so many powers in his possession, it may eventually be impossible to deal with him.”
He imagined all sorts of cat torturing videos circulating the web, and at the thought of it, he could no longer take it and announced, “Find him immediately and rescue the cats back to my home! No... Wait... It may not be as bad as I think. Let’s do this instead...”
He cooled himself down as he stroked his chin and suggested,” If he has been treating the cats well, I would pay him a sum of money and buy the cats from him. But if my suspicions are right and he did mistreat the cats...” The young man’s stared coldly into blank space. “Do what you must... And bring the cats back.”
“Yes, Master.” The middle-aged man stepped back as he lowered his head.
“One more thing... Ask him how he is able to control multiple powers at once.”
At the dining table, the cat with orange spots started to purr continuously. Apparently, Xiao Shi Yu once fed this cat along the streets when it was still a stray cat. It was also the cat who passed on the regenerative power to the killer cat and Xiao Shi Yu.
The little cat gestured and was immediately attended to by a helper nearby who passed the cat a phone.
The little cat started typing on the phone and moments later, a digital voice started playing from the phone. It read the words the little cat typed. “Ho Hao Cang, did something happen with the apostle?”
Hao Cang was the long-haired young man. He smiled and reassured,” Don’t you worry Lucifer. It’s just a tiny problem, and it will be resolved in no time.”
The room turned completely silent as the six cats looked at one another. It seems like they were engaged in a conversation no one else could hear.
...
Back at Zhao Yao’s house, the whole living room was a mess from all the objects that came out of Dust Ball’s mouth.
Despite the mess, Zhao Yao didn’t show any signs of unhappiness; instead, his face beamed with excitement.
Zhao Yao and Matcha began to filter through the rubbish in search of valuable objects like gold chains, diamond rings, jewellery and silverware which were then safely kept in a box.
Matcha kept holding onto the iPhone 7 and laughed hysterically as he messed around with the phone.
However, it didn’t take long before Zhao Yao snatched the iPhone from Matcha’s hand and said, “I guess I’ll be the one who uses the iPhone7 instead. You should stick to your old phone.”
Matcha snapped, “What gives you the right?! I saw it first alright!”
Zhao Yao rudely patted his furry head and replied, “Kids should not be using an iPhone.” He then proceeded to change the SIM card happily.
Matcha’s face was red as an apple but suddenly remembered,” This could be a good thing, it seems like Zhao Yao has forgotten about my purchase of the skin. Mmm... Before he recalls, I should think of a way to spend all the money that is with Roly Poly.”
Meanwhile, Dust Ball laid motionless on the floor in a complete daze from all the spinning. Her lifeless body remains sprawled on the ground in a distorted manner as the world kept on spinning around her. 𝒇𝙧𝚎𝐞𝙬𝒆𝑏𝑛𝑜v𝚎𝒍.c𝑜m
Roly Poly carefully approached her and asked worriedly, “Hey there, are you alright?”
“I want... I want to...”
“What?” Roly Poly put his ear beside her mouth to listen closely.
Suddenly, Dust Ball screamed at the top of her lungs, “I want to bite them to death! I will kill them!!”
“Don’t! You can’t beat them both!” Roly Poly dissuaded. “Don’t you have the power to swallow anything? Use this power and find a way to sneak us out of here!”
“No. This won’t do... I must get my revenge!” Dust Ball hissed as she bared her teeth.
Roly Poly attempted to dissuade Dust Ball again, this time through her mind. He cried, “Please don’t! You don’t want to mess with them! The two of them are thugs, demons, scums, and gangsters; you name it!”
As they spoke, Zhao Yao had just finished filtering out the valuable items from the trash and began to clear the remaining trash out of the house. He dumped the trash into trash bags and slowly brought them downstairs and out of the house.
The fifth time he went downstairs, he saw a middle-aged bald man wearing a T-shirt and Bermudas standing right in front of the front door.
At the sight of Zhao Yao, he curled his lips and smiled, “You are Zhao Yao, right? I have some things to discuss with you.
“Who are you?” Zhao Yao frowned and thought to himself. “An agent? Salesman? Insurance agent? A troll?”
The bald, middle-aged man replied, “I wish to talk to you about the cats.” The bald man stared right into Zhao Yao’s piercing eyes and continued, “It isn’t convenient to talk here, I walked past a cafe several blocks down the road. Why don’t we sit down and have a chat?”
