Chapter 233: Origin

Chapter 233: Origin

The masked girl wielded her katana with both hands and stood there quietly, a black and dull sword pointed straight at her throat. The 21 young girls behind her either begged, cried, or screamed, all of which wanted Zhang Xiao Qiang to let the masked girl go.

The girl’s eyes flashed with a cold glint and she suddenly shot forward as she intended to allow the blade to impale through her own throat.

Zhang Xiao Qiang had experienced countless life-and-death battles in the apocalypse. Although he could not boast that he had an abundance of experience, he knew that it was the perfect opportunity when he noticed the girl standing unsteadily. The moment she turned her body, his sword had already reached her face.

Although the crying and pleadings kept on entering his ears, his eyes were fixed onto the masked girl. When her eyes revealed the resolve to die, his right hand that held the Jing Wei Blade moved slightly to the side.

The girl’s neck narrowly avoided the sharp blade by a hair. When she pounced into the air, the katana in her hand had changed positions, the smooth and reflective sword body had moved near to her throat as well.

“CLANG….” The Jing Wei Blade flashed past her and collided into the sharp katana, “CLING CLANG….” half of the katana dropped to the ground.

The girl looked down towards the remaining katana in her hand, stunned. She did not know what to think. When Zhang Xiao Qiang saw the vacant look in her eyes, he knew that the situation had completely turned to his control. He looked at the other girls and thought to have someone ask about their situation and to be prepared to accept the base.

Zhang Xiao Qiang’s previous fanfare was to lure the masked girl out. After experiencing what Liu Tou, a Gen-Omega Human, can do, Zhang Xiao Qiang’s caution towards them became extremely strong. As he had finally suppressed the Agility-Type girl, he naturally had no qualms.

When the girls saw that Zhang Xiao Qiang did not have the intentions to kill the girl, they quietened down. Following Zhang Xiao Qiang’s questions, a few of the more fluent girls started to narrate their experience…..they were members of the performing arts troupe of J-City University and had received invitations from the factory to perform at the New Year’s Day evening party conducted for the internal department. Originally, they had planned to tour the site a day before and had arrived in the afternoon to liaise with the person responsible for taking them around.

Just as they arrived at the gates, the Virus erupted. The fortunate members followed the big sister of the factory in. At that time, the troupe had a total of 30 odd people. 28 of them were girls while the rest were guys. The hosts had a total of three people, two large men, and a 40-year-old lady.

In the beginning, the survivors took turns to keep watch and helped protect each other, they hid inside the abandoned building and waited for rescue. But with the large group came contradictions. In the beginning, no one gave much heed to it.

But as days went on, months passed. Some of them became fidgety. They started quarreling with one another, a few guys and girls started messing around, even the 40-year-old big sister started to mess around with her two subordinates, causing the atmosphere in the building to become strange.

26 of the girls were brought up well, they rejected the advances of the guys and formed a small team and managed to live in harmony for a while until they discovered that one of the girls was missing. The group became anxious until a boy that was not liked by anyone came up and testified that the girl left for the warehouse in the morning and had not returned. The boy was a logistic member of the troupe and was an honest chap, so everyone liked to call him the Filer.

They searched the warehouse but did not find anything. Adding that there were countless zombies around, they gave up on finding the girl. As days passed, the feeling of despair grew even denser, every sentence spoken was a spark that triggered quarrels, the eyes of the men towards the girls became even more unnatural. Finally, the two men from the factory kidnapped one of the girls and raped her, completely igniting the fuse.

The school and the factory people were split into two groups, the factory people thinking that the supplies belonged to them and that the students had to pay to eat, while the students ignored their demands and ate what they wanted, drank what they wanted. With all these pettiness, how could the factory people hold back?

The six boys tied the two men that belonged to the factory, and while discussing what to do with them, Filer stood forward and informed them that the food would not last for long. They had to lessen the consumption, thus the two tied up men were knocked out and fed to the zombies.

Due to the excitement from killing people, the boys went mad. They howled and screamed, and started exhibiting themselves in front of the girls. They toyed with the big sister of the factory, and after playing with her, they threw her to the zombies as well.

Without any outsiders, the boys naturally started targeting their own female classmates. Maybe it was the last bit of humanity in them that they did not do anything overboard, but girls started going missing. All of the girls fell in fear, not knowing when would they be the next target.

There were no connections between the missing girls, some were virgins and loved themselves, some enjoyed fooling around with the boys. But their disappearance was too strange, so the girls remained united and viewed all men as evil. As long as they saw any of the boys, they would hide.

One day, one of them caught a whiff of a stench, she found it unbearable and started looking for the source. Slowly, she came across a sewer at the back of the building which was not sealed properly, leaving a small crack at the side. The stench came from within and was extremely strong, making her have the urge to leave immediately.

Before she could turn, her eyes landed on a piece of cloth stuck to the side of the sewer entrance. It was extremely familiar, and that it belonged to one of the missing girls.

She opened the lid and looked down in horror. Five naked female girls with their facial features distorted along with cuts and bruises all over their bodies laid beneath. Their tattered clothes were mixed with them, with the most bottom one already rotting.

The girl turned and ran back up the building. She dared not speak, afraid that she would become the next target. She believed that the boys were the perpetrators, upon thinking back that the dead girls were all beautiful.

She became even more afraid as endless fear drowned her. She found a piece of glass and started cutting her face, destroying her beautiful features and only after drawing criss-cross patterns did she finally stop.

When the sixth girl went missing, the girls became infuriated. They sought out the boys to question them, wanting an answer, but resulted in them blowing their tops as well. The two factions started denouncing each other until they got tired and gave up.

On the next day, three boys choked to death laid in the living room. Filer and three other boys finally revealed their true selves, causing the girls to surrender. They had been toyed endlessly by the perverted boys. As for the girl that had cut her face, she was chased out of the house to stay in the warehouse.

After that, the girl that seemed to have turned into a devil came back. She found a decorative blade in an office and used the back of the blade to cripple the boys. She pulled them by their hairs and dragged them to the zombies and watched them get eaten.

After killing all the zombies around, she protected the group of girls quietly.

Until Zhang Xiao Qiang appeared.
