Li Ran chuckled and said, “I scavenged for a long time before finding them.”
Everyone’s opinion on Li Ran had changed.
“What a capable woman.”
“Did you survive all by yourself? You’re so strong.”
“None of us can hold a candle to her. No wonder she could command the pig.”
“…”
The pig was speechless. He glared at the group of people and said snappily, “Do you think that I can’t kill you just because she’s here?”
“Why would you kill us? We have been obedient to you all this while.”
They knew that the pig was angry, but they were no longer afraid because Li Ran was around, and she was superior.
This was unacceptable for the pig.
Li Ran tried to ease the atmosphere. She said gently, “Can you control those dead pigs?”
“Why?”
The pig stared at Li Ran with a confused expression on its face.
“If you can control them, then it’s more efficient than handling them one by one, right?”
Before the pig could say anything, the group of people cheered.
“That’s right. You can do so many things by yourself. Yet, you forced us to do it instead. Isn’t this a waste of manpower? You don’t even feed us properly. You’re just deliberately making our lives harder.”
The pig immediately retorted, “Why should I make things easy for you? To begin with, I don’t even like humans.”
After hearing what the pig said, everyone fell silent.
They knew that they should not continue to provoke it. Otherwise, the situation might get worse.
The pig then snorted.
“I knew that it was a mistake to cooperate with you!”
“You still have to uphold the end of your bargain. I have cleared out the zombies for you. Now let these people go.”
Li Ran’s words lit everyone’s eyes up. However, they continued to keep quiet.
The pig said impatiently, “Okay. We’ll clean the farmhouse in a short while. When will you bring your pigs here?”
“Once this place is cleaned.”
Their conversation ended and the pig walked into a room. It closed its eyes and rested peacefully.
Li Ran looked at the rest of the people and said, “You guys should rest as well. I’ll go and prepare some food.”
“Food? You mean the bread that you’ve mentioned earlier?”
“Yes, there might be other dishes too,” said Li Ran with a smile.
Everybody was excited after hearing her words. Their faces were beaming with joy.
Li Ran went to a secluded area. After making sure that no one was around, she entered the mysterious space to prepare some hot dishes. There was bread, rice, meat, mineral water, and so on.
Then, she took everything with her and returned to the real world.
Li Ran placed the dishes on the table. The food looked very appetizing. Furthermore, they were still hot!
The sight stunned everyone.
At first, no one dared to move a muscle.
Li Ran then smiled and said, “Feel free to eat whatever you want. If the food runs out, I can go and make more.”
“Is this real? I’m not seeing things, am I?”
“Are you a Goddess?”
“Sob. No matter how hard I worked at the base, I’ll never get to eat something like this.”
“I’ll gladly eat one hundred bags of pig feed if it means I get to enjoy such a meal!”
