Chapter 600 -46 Karyx’s Body (1)_2
“I want to witness all of this myself, to watch you die in front of me—this is my revenge…”
But this time, the energy of the Abyss didn’t surge toward him to revive him; instead, it mercilessly abandoned him and gathered in the sky, forming a terrifying vortex.
Leo’s face instantly twisted, showing an expression of disbelief and extreme fear, “No, no, how could this be…
Cassius sneered and with his claw pressed upon the dying Flame Demon, he looked down upon him with no mercy and ridiculed, “Leo Boske, it seems you’ve lost your usefulness.
Look, even your Abyssal master has given up on his faithful dog.”
The Barlow Flame Demon suddenly erupted with strength, struggling and roaring furiously, his face red with effort as he argued, “No! Lord Gelrazax said I embody his will, I am immortal…”
The heart held in Cassius’s claw was beating violently, incessantly pumping out purple-black filthy blood, from which flickering flames emerged.
The heart is the core of every Barlow Flame Demon, containing endless Abyssal Fire that keeps the Flame Demon’s body perpetually burning, never to be extinguished.
But now, the heart was so fragile in the claws of the Red Dragon.
“No, you can’t kill me, I am a noble substi…”
“Bang!!”
Cassius crushed the heart decisively, and the demon’s body instantly turned into drifting ash.
Normally, when a Barlow Flame Demon dies, their heart would immediately explode in a dazzling flash, engulfing everything within hundreds of meters.
“Boom!”
Accompanied by a muffled sound, Cassius held the explosion in his claw, forcefully suppressing it as blinding beams of light burst through his fingers.
Leo Boske, the once Grand Duke of the North, later the Commander of the Abyss, died just like that in the claw of the Red Dragon, without causing so much as a ripple.
“Tsk, a pitiful Northern noble, still so delusional about their own strength.
Northern Nobility always think the world revolves around them, but in reality—they’re nothing more than cannon fodder in someone else’s game,”
Cassius commented, looking at the ash and dust flowing between his fingers.
“Next, it’s your turn…
Gelrazax.”
The Red Dragon flapped its wings, its demeanor serious as it lifted its head, pale golden pupils woven with tension and anticipation.
The distant snowy mountains remained majestic, but that Abyssal energy converged into turbulent currents, forming a colossal vortex with a diameter of thousands of kilometers, nearly engulfing the mountains under a dark canopy.
“Roar—”
A cacophony of deep, chaotic roars echoed from the Abyssal vortex, resonating between the mountains, instilling a soul-deep tremor in all beings.
That was the power of the Abyss, the primordial force of the cosmos, the most chaotic and disorderly existence that could annihilate everything.
Cassius narrowed his eyes, his expression growing even heavier, and a trace of doubt surfaced, for he felt something unusual.
“This is…the Ancestral Dragon’s pressure?”
Yes, it was Dragon’s Might.
That aura, which Cassius was constantly releasing, was born from every drop of scorching blood flowing through his veins.
Now, the Red Dragon felt a pressure that seemed to originate from the same source as his own, a few degrees stronger than his own Dragon’s Might, even giving him a vague sense of “bloodline suppression.”
This was something Cassius had never experienced before; considering his current status, there were very few giant dragons that could make him feel this way.
“Could it be—”
Cassius’s pupils shrank suddenly, as if he had remembered something, a terrible speculation suddenly arose in his heart.
“Roar—”
The mountains shook, the earth quaked, and another long howl from The Abyss ensued, causing an avalanche in the Ancytica Mountains. Countless snow formed into a torrential flood, rushing down the mountain.
And this time, the roar penetrated deeper into the soul, even making the Red Dragon involuntarily snort, exhaling a breath tinged with the smell of sulfur.
While under Cassius’s tense gaze, a giant claw covered in dark red scales emerged from the abyssal vortex, gripping the snowy peaks. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
Then, a massive dragon head slowly appeared; it bore huge backward-sweeping horns, its gaping maw filled with razor-sharp fangs, and its eyes were deep and pitch-black—this form was all too familiar to Cassius; it was the head of a Red Dragon!
Just that head alone was nearly sixty feet long, already larger than most giant dragons in their entirety!
“Whoosh—”
Next, wings that blotted out the sky came into the Red Dragon’s view. They were ragged like tattered cloth with gaps where howling winds surged through.
Behind them lay a body meandering like mountain ranges, dry flesh straining the dark red scales of its body, adorned with patterns of black, red, and olive green stripes.
This terrifying “Red Dragon” thus coiled upon the snowy peak, facing Cassius from afar, its pitch-black eyes flickering with a sinister green light, the expression on its face as terrifying as a sneering baring of teeth.
It spread its tattered wings that eclipsed the sky, and endless abyssal winds swept through the mountains, the land filled with the overpowering Dragon’s Might.
This dark red giant dragon measured over one hundred fifty meters from head to tail, well beyond the physiological limits of Red Dragons in the Prime Material World!
Looking back through history, only the powerful Ancestral Dragons created by the Nine-Faced Dragon God that traversed the star realm could reach such a size.
Cassius couldn’t help but inhale sharply, confirming the terrible hunch in his heart.
This was the body of Karex!
The dark red giant dragon, or rather, Gelrazax, stared at Cassius, opened his gaping maw, and uttered in a deep, hoarse voice, “Long time no see, Cassius, you’ve become stronger…
But to me, that’s meaningless.”
Cassius let out a cold laugh, fearlessly staring back at the giant dragon on the snowy peak, and said, “You’re indeed worthy of being an Abyssal Lord, Gelrazax, to occupy such a body.”
Gelrazax stretched his mouth into a mocking smile, “And for that, I should thank you, my dear ‘ally,’ Cassius.
Thousands of years ago, the Gods used Karex’s own body to seal me away, making our strengths check and devour each other, keeping us eternally entangled in an inescapable bind. It was your boundless greed that set me free.”
The dark red giant dragon lifted its claw, forcefully breaking off the summit of the snow peak, and raised its head in a triumphant howl.
“Cassius, do you see?
I’ve taken over Karex’s remains, absorbed all his residual strength, and finally created this body, this body—a forbidden form in the Third Era.”
Cassius watched the colossal dragon body over a hundred meters long, a glint flickering in his pale golden pupils.
Indeed, under a normal historical process, the Gods wouldn’t allow such a massive dragon to appear in the Prime Material Plane.
Gelrazax once again lowered his head and growled at the Red Dragon, “Cassius, you too could have had such power, but alas, you refused to cooperate with me, you rejected the call of The Abyss.
So, I will simply have to destroy you utterly, absorb the last of Karex’s strength, and make myself the true World-end Dragon!”
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”
The Abyssal Drake is a horrifying product of an ancient breeding program intended to combine the vilest aspects of demons, Bipedal Wyverns, and Red Dragons. Initially planned for use as mounts for the powerful Demon Princes, the Abyssal Drakes proved highly intractable in that role. Now they roam the wilds of The Abyss, hunting demons and visitors in the same manner.
Abyssal Drakes, like their Wyvern ancestors, display their infernal bloodline with their dark red scaly skin. They have powerful Bat Wings, necks that twist like snakes, and claws as sharp as razors.
