Chapter 111 - 110 Before the Holy War

Sally returned to the hostel.

She didn't have much to explain, she simply handed the hostel over to Bai Kaixin and then went to the Western District.

Just as she was about to leave, Madam Ming arrived.

She came to take Manman.

In her hands, she held a black box that looked anything but ordinary. Merely giving it an extra glance made one feel a tremor in their soul.

"Madam Ming, it's been a while," Sally said as she took Manman out of the System Space, along with some Fire Element Secret Technique manuals and Dark Rule Secret Technique manuals.

Madam Ming smiled, "It has been a while indeed, I have come as promised."

She opened the black box, and inside was Manman's stolen Innate Talent Soul Bead!

Sally nodded, "Yes, I hereby formally transfer custody of Manman to Madam Ming."

Madam Ming sighed with relief, "Thank you."

"It's me who should thank you." Sally took out the Innate Talent Soul Bead and fed it to Manman.

Manman clearly knew it was hers and swallowed it immediately.

The two Innate Talent Soul Beads began to fuse inside her body.

The little one couldn't resist the surge of energy from the beads merging and fell into a deep sleep.

Sally gently caressed Manman's small body, especially the tuft of hair on her head, twirling it around her fingertip, "This child has a bit of a temper, and loves to bristle. Please be patient with her, Madam Ming."

"That trait certainly comes from me," Madam Ming said with an adoring look and a kind smile on her face, "If only she could have a sibling."

Encouraging procreation... indeed, a favorite activity of all elders.

Sally replied with a smile, "If the chance arises, I wouldn't mind giving Manman a brother or sister."

"That would be wonderful," said Madam Ming, then handed her the black box that contained the Innate Talent Soul Bead, "This is a gift from Manman's grandfather, the Demon Emperor. He said you might find it useful."

The Demon Emperor was Manman's grandfather!

So it was he who retrieved Manman's Innate Talent Soul Bead!

"Take a look at it when you have the time; it's quite a treasure, size notwithstanding."

"All right."

"Now I'll take Manman with me; she'll need some time to sleep off this energy surge."

"Thank you for taking care of her," Sally said as she stroked Manman again.

Madam Ming with Manman gradually disappeared from Sally's view.

Sally suddenly felt a void in her heart.

A sense of reluctance filled her.

[Xiaomei, let's go to the Western District.]

[Yes, Host.]

The Western District, Rabbit Tribe.

Sally entered the tribe unseen, watching the Rabbit Clan live a busy, peaceful life filled with the smell of domestic life.

Jason Deira arrived with two deer, placing one at the doorstep of his home and calling out to the teen inside: "Son, I'm heading to Millet Family's home. Please take care of the deer."

"Sure," the teen responded.

Jason took the deer to Millet Family's place.

Millet Family's home had doubled in size since Sally's departure, with plenty of people coming and going, all appearing to be merchants.

Two half-grown Rabbit Beasts ran back and forth in the yard, one of them a blue and white Rabbit Beast carrying a blue and white half-grown mouse beast on its back.

Sally's heart melted when she saw them.

These three were the children she left with the Rabbit Clan.

Jason handed the deer over to Auro Millet, "It's been over a month without any sign of Demon Beasts, not sure what happened, but Beast Forest has become a lot safer."

"Robby wants to build another factory, wants it a bit further from the tribe, maybe we should check out Beast Forest for a spot."

"I think that's a good idea."

The two entered the house to speak.

Sally walked up to the three of them and, with one hand per two and one hand for each of the others, sneakily whisked them away.

No sooner had she absconded with them than the loss of the children was discovered, causing an uproar in the Rabbit Clan.

Desiring to enhance her children's talents and yet having to do so in secrecy, Sally felt helpless.

However, the Beast Nurturing Pill had to be administered as early as possible.

Before them, Sally revealed her human form, "Yona, Yohanes, Frost, I'm your mum ~"

The three little creatures, due to their low innate talent, couldn't speak and their spiritual awareness was quite dim, but they instinctively sensed the motherly aura emanating from Sally.

Especially Yohanes, who approached Sally on her own accord.

Sally picked her up, retrieved a Beast Nurturing Pill, and fed it to her, "This will enhance your talent."

After Yohanes ingested the Beast Nurturing Pill, she blinked and suddenly keeled over, asleep.

Sally then gave the Beast Nurturing Pills to Yona and Frost.

She stayed with them until they woke up.

Sally observed that their talents had each improved by a rank.

Yona and Yohanes were now of Yellow Rank talent, while Frost was of Earth Rank talent.

"When there's better elixir, Mum will come to see you again," she promised.

Sally hugged all three close, showering them with kisses, particularly Frost.

"Protect your sisters well, okay?" Sally instructed Frost.

Frost licked her hand, his eyes sparkling, much like Zulu.

"Frost—Yona—Yohanes—" Auro's voice came in panic from afar.

Reluctantly, Sally set the three down and hung a Little Storage Bag around each child's neck. This was what Xiaomei had promised her, allowing Sally to pick any three items from the System Store.

The first was the Storage Bag, a set of twelve which would require 120,000 points if purchased.

She placed the gifts for the children inside the Storage Bags.

"Go on, find your grandfather and great-grandfather," she coaxed.

The three little ones, however, were reluctant to leave.

With a heavy heart, Sally patted their backs and vanished from sight, "Go on, Mum will come back to see you."

Finally, Auro found them and embraced them, his face a mix of relief and lingering panic, "You scared me to death, how did all three of you run off like that?"

Sally silently apologized.

She watched as Auro's solid, mountain-like figure carried the three back.

Yohanes, the most agile of them, climbed to the top of Auro's head and watched Sally.

Sally waved at her, "Mum will miss you."

The little one mimicked her gesture, waving her little paw, "Squeak-squeak—"

When she returned to the Eastern District,

The millennium celebration of Divine Beast Academy had already begun.

Zi Qi was enveloped in a golden light.

Two others were also shrouded in the same golden light—one was Yu Yan, and the other was a very domineering-looking man with sharp facial features but a deep and fearsome scar stretching from his eye to the corner of his mouth, marring his appearance. He wore animal skin clothes, his black hair loose and untamed across his back, holding a massive Bone Staff.

"Has the Holy War started?" Sally asked Xiaomei.

Xiaomei replied, "Yes. The host may choose any of the Continental Teleportation Arrays at will."

"Is there even a need to choose?" Sally looked towards Zi Qi.

Zi Qi seemed reluctant. He was still basking in the warmth of having just gained a daughter, and now he had to abandon all the plans and schemes he had laid out for the continent.

Sally could understand his feelings towards his child to some degree, as she was about to be separated from her seven children.
