"He’s only at the Adept rank but since Mia personally scouted him, then he must have potential. Stay close to me later and I’ll protect you." Lucas smiled at Alex, his words bustling with sarcasm.

Alex raised an eyebrow, he could instantly tell that the other party didn’t like him.

He wondered if he had unknowingly offended the other party.

"Keep your protection to yourself and your group members." Mia’s voice sounded, her tone was cold and her eye flashed with a sharp glint; her other eye was still covered with the eye patch.

"Come on, don’t be so resistant. I simply want to care for your group like I care for mine, what do you say we merge up? You all can become part of the Golden Tree group.

Let me tell you a secret, I had a private meeting with Mr Chen. I believe you all know Mr Chen, right? He was very willing to join my group but he said he had to settle something first before joining.

What do you think? Mr Chen is an expert, you won’t lose anything if you join us." Lucas said proudly.

Everyone was shocked by his words. Mr Chen? The Mr Chen who became popular recently? Who does not know Mr Chen, even the elders of the Union have to treat him politely!

The hell, What was that fool saying?

’When did I agree to join your group? I don’t even know you so when did we hold that discussion?!’ Alex was raging inwardly, this bastard was taking advantage of him!

"Is that true? As expected of Sir Lucas, you’re really extraordinary."

"Let’s continue to work together in future, please introduce us to Mr Chen."

"Haha, of course, that’s not a problem."

The leaders of the other two groups immediately tried to get on Lucas’s good side after hearing that he knew Mr Chen. Their two groups were just like the Rising Wave group; only the leaders were at the Expert mage rank, and the majority of their members were at the Adept mage rank.

They didn’t have any problems with flattering Lucas since his group was bigger, forming connections was important!

As for the members of the Rising Wave group, the majority of them had deadpan expressions, except for Alex, Mia, and Selena.

Mia was just unimpressed and didn’t react to what Lucas said. Alex knew that the other party was lying and had a disdainful look on his face, as for Selena...the woman looked like she was already tired of the place and wanted to go home so she could sleep.

As for Simon and the others, they were all feeling sour inside. All of them already knew that Joan and the rough-looking man tried to invite Mr Chen yesterday but were rejected within a chance to even express themselves.

How could they not feel bad after hearing that Mr Chen was joining this scum’s group?

"I would rather we get to the point and start the raid, instead of talking about irrelevant things." Mia’s cold voice sounded through the air.

Lucas and the others turned to look at her, they were displeased but Mia’s emotionless face made them too afraid to talk back. They could only grumble silently before regrouping.

Lucas glanced at Mia and scoffed quietly, the corner of his lips raised as he waved his left hand.

"Fine, fine. Always about business." He chuckled lightly.

Seeing Lucas wave his hand, the second Expert mage in the Golden Tree group stepped forward and began to speak.

They started to share the information that each group knew about this Golem valley. Including the Rising Wave group, there were a total of four groups and over a hundred people, each group had a thing or two that they knew about this place.

This rocky place was called the Golem Valley, and just as its name insinuated, it had lots of earth Golems.

Earth golems were also a kind of magic beasts that were made entirely of rock. This made them have very sturdy bodies and great strength, they could also camouflage perfectly in areas like this.

The earth golems were known to either live under huge rocks or in plain sight. Due to their camouflaging ability, it was easy for one to miss them when walking. Also, the earth golems could reconstruct their bodies when damaged.

The only way to one-shot them was to destroy their heads in one attack or take out their mana cores that were located in their chest area. It wasn’t too surprising that those two places were the hardest parts of the earth’s golem’s body.

But that wasn’t all. Aside from the earth golems, there were also sightings of grey lizards in the Golem valley as well.

Gray lizards were known for their agility and cunning nature so everyone was advised to be careful.

"We also got information from the Union that there is a rock golem that has reached the mutated beast rank, we’ll have to work together when it appears since it’s stronger than a common rank beast and can face Expert mages." An Expert mage from one of the other two groups informed, and everyone nodded with serious faces.

A magic beast as the mutated beast rank! Many of the people present had never seen a beast of such level when it was still alive.

He was in a daze after seeing the serious faces of those around him, they were reacting this way just because of a beast that could fight Expert mages; what would they do then if they faced something like the terror bear?

After everyone had said what they knew about the Golem valley, they separated as each group went to make plans of how they would carry out the raid.

Mia led the members of the Rising Wave group to a corner before allocating teams. She decided to split the group into two teams with both teams having 10 and 11 people respectfully.

Mia led the team with just ten people, including herself. Alex, Phil, Joan, and six others who were at the Adept rank. Simon and Selena, the two Core mages of the Rising Wave group, led the remaining 9 members of the group, who were all at the Adept mage rank.

After splitting the group into two, Mia passed storage rings to each one of them; Alex got one too.

"Store the beast’s corpses and mana cores in the rings later," Mia instructed. She had rented these storage rings from the Union and was to return them when they returned. Although storage devices were expensive, the price for renting was obviously cheaper so the Rising Wave group was able to get this many.

After passing out the storage rings, Mia led her team in a direction while Simon and Selena did the same. Of course, Mia reminded the two to contact her if they got into a difficult situation or encountered anything strange.

The Golem valley was filled with gigantic boulders and many of these boulders looked like small mountains. It was easy to lose sight of each other if they wandered far away from one another.

"Alex, stay close to us. Earth golems are good at hiding amongst rocks." Joan reached Alex and whispered to him while looking around vigilantly, Phil and the others were not far from them.

They had been walking along the edge of a huge rock that stretched like a fence for the past few minutes and the only sound that they could hear was their feet making contact with the pebbles on the ground.

"Mm." Alex nodded in response while looking around.

Unlike the others, he was very relaxed. Not only could the earth golems not harm him, but he had already spotted a few.

After another few minutes, Alex looked up and pointed at the fence-like rock.

"What’s that?"
