Alex proceeded to explain the idea that he had in mind to the system, almost a minute passed before Alex finished explaining everything.

Next, the system’s interface showed the ’crafting’ notification, and Alex began to wait in anticipation. He had only used this skill once and didn’t know if it was possible for a crafting to fail. After all, the spell that he was trying to craft was something he had read about in his previous life and was something that only God-like beings were supposed to possess.

This made Alex nervous and excited at the same time, nervous that the crafting might fail and excited because he would gain an overpowered scouting ability if it worked!

Time slowly passed and Alex’s face was soon twisted with a confused look. It had been over ten minutes but the interface of the system still showed that the skill was still crafting.

Why was it taking so long this time?

Alex didn’t know and could only wait. At this moment, Mia stood up and clapped her hands, waking everyone from their meditative state.

"Alright, that’s enough rest; let’s get moving." Mia voiced out.

Everyone immediately stood up, no one complained since they had gathered enough mana to last them through the rest of the hunt.

Some even joked with each other.

"My absorbing speed is still the fastest, I almost recovered my soul sea to the brim."

"Almost, how weak. I fully recovered a long time ago and was already starting to push my soul sea to the next stage."

"Yeah, yeah. Keep bragging, like you aren’t still at the Adept rank."

The atmosphere was Jovia as they resumed walking, soon, they came across another group of earth golems. Alex and the others once again went to work while Mia watched from the back.

In a different part of the Golem valley, a group of eleven people could be seen inside a huge pit that was five meters deep and over ten meters wide.

Around the pit were large boulders that surrounded it from all directions, making the pit look like a gigantic well.

These eleven people were none other than Selena and the other members of the Rising Wave group, Simon was also present.

Currently, the group were busy storing the remains and mana cores of the earth golems that they had killed.

They had found a group of earth golems not far away, but the golems had fled after some of them were killed; the group chased after them and arrived at this pit where tens of the golems were residing.

With a place to concentrate their firepower, the group had bombarded the pit with their destructive spells, killing all the earth golems in a shower of spells.

After storing some of the mana cores, Selena stood up and stretched her arms before taking out her phone and looking at it.

It was already 16:00.

"We should contact the leader soon after finishing here, it’s getting late." Selena turned to stare at Simon who was not far away from her.

The latter glanced at her and nodded in agreement. They had reaped a huge profit from the earth golem today and going back to Balon City right now wouldn’t dissatisfy anyone.

Luckily, they didn’t encounter any of the lizard men or the rumoured earth golem that was at the mutated rank.

Selena looked away after seeing the other party nod his head, her eyes as tired looking as always as she glanced at the rest members of the group who were almost done storing the remains.

At this moment, however, Selena noticed something that caused her eyebrows to crease.

She stared at a woman who was standing at the edge of the pit and picking up the rocks from the remains of the earth golems, in particular, Selena was staring at the woman’s shadow.

Something seemed to have overlapped with the shadow of the woman; this new shadow had a reptile-shaped head like a spoon and three arms spread out.

Two arms poked out from one side of its body while a single arm came from the other side, all three hands were holding what seemed to be a stick.

Selena’s eyes widened the next moment as a name appeared in her mind and without even looking up, she dashed toward the woman while shouting.

"Lizard men, watch out!"

Selena’s speed was so fast that except for Simon, the others didn’t see when she moved clearly.

The woman whose shadow had been overlapped raised her head with a jolt after hearing Selena’s Voice, she was shocked when she saw that Selena had already reached her.

But before she could speak, she saw Selena’s body burst out with violent mana and purple stars appeared around them before quickly connecting.

"Lightning ball!"

Selena called out as a watermelon-sized lightning orb formed in her right hand, which she threw out.

Everyone stared at her actions in astonishment and puzzlement, wondering what was going on.

However...Bang!

The lightning ball that Selena had thrown out earlier collided with something mid-air and exploded; the lightning ball and whatever it had clashed with had cancelled each other.

Everyone else "..."

They were under attack!

As experienced explorers, the others didn’t need to be told twice before realising what was going on.

Simon was the fastest to act, as a fellow team leader, his reaction speed was faster than that of the others.

The instant Selena threw that lightning ball, he had already formed two golden star patterns of the light element.

"Light Ray!" Simon shouted the moment the lighting ball exploded in the air.

Whoosh!

A dazzling golden ray shot out from his star patterns the moment in the direction that Selena had thrown her lightning ball in.

The golden ray was like a fast ball of sunlight that shot through the air at bullet speed and flew to the top of the pit.

A piercing sound rang out a split second later as the golden ray tore through the upper body of a three-armed reptile creature that was standing on top of one of the numerous large boulders that surrounded the pit.

Its three arms were still spread out as it held what looked like brown sticks in each hand, it stood for a few moments as blood gushed out from the gaping hole in its body before falling backwards.

While all of this was happening, the eleven people in the pit had already grouped together as they stood in a way that allowed each one of them to observe a direction to avoid another ambush.

Immediately after seeing the headless reptile fall to the ground after its chest and head were blown off by Simon’s spell, everyone rushed out of the pit and landed on the large boulders before looking outside.

Their faces revealed shocked expressions as the eyes of some people trembled.

They were surrounded!
