Chapter 157 'You Really Shouldn’t Have Done That'

Seeing this fist coming a mile away, Erian blocked the fist with his elbow, which released a loud sound of two heavy pieces of meat colliding together.

"Bam!"

Suddenly Erian's eyes widened as a transparent shard shot out from between Althea's clenched fist, shooting toward his brows without making a single sound.

At such a close range, there was no way Erian could avoid the projectile stabbing towards him at such a close range even if he was a triple gene titan with twenty times insane reaction speed. Because the speed of the projectile was simply too fast.

Prince Silva shook his head, derision clouded his face as he gazed at the scene before him. He was well aware of Althea's abilities and knew to fear her and especially her hidden weapons. She's known to be destructive at 50 meters radius, dangerous at twenty meters and Incredibly life-threatening at ten meters!

Facing Erian, she was at least about 5 meters close to him. At this distance, not even a Third-year student with triple genes could avoid her blades!

Silently, the blade touched Erian's head. Erian's head was forcibly tilted backward.

At this moment, everyone had the same thought, that the death of Erian was certain but the 'pfft' sound everyone was expecting failed to reverberate but instead, it was the sound of metals heavily clashing against each other.

Ding!

Althea's eyebrows knitted together. The sound she had heard wasn't the sound she was expecting. Suddenly, a bad feeling started to develop within her mind.

Immediately, she drifted backward, putting more distance between her and Erian as she watched him straighten his head.

Erian touched his forehead with his right hand. There, a transparent object that was as tiny as a cicada's wing was stuck in his skull. It had actually penetrated a centimeter into his skill, drawing blood in the process.

Erian's face didn't look too good. He had actually almost died at Althea's hands! If his body was just a little tougher than it was, he might have actually died from her hand!

The more Erian thought about it, the more angrier he got. But suddenly, he was seen to calm down a bit. If he died, it was his fault for underestimating his opponent, Althea had nothing to do with it.

Removing the blade stuck to his head, Erian licked his blood off the blade. Tasting a weird bitter aftertaste, he took a glance at Althea with a raised eyebrow. "You also added poison?"

With a chuckle, he placed the blade between his thumb and index finger. "I should thank you, really."

"The world is a dangerous place filled with unknown dangers and people alike. In the jungle, underestimating an insect could lead to one's death. This mark should serve as a reminder to me never to underestimate anyone."

Erian then paused as he glanced at the two people before him. "It's also a reminder for me to not always keep a low profile else, people who do not deserve it would dare to challenge me."

With a soft 'boing', the sound of a guitar string being plucked sounded from within Erian's wrist.

Althea's pupils constricted. Her arms shook and two pieces of metal erupted from her wrist like a gauntlet. Placing them before her, there wasn't time to adjust her footing, the transparent blade slammed into her with a loud 'bang' sound.

Althea was forcefully pushed five steps backward. Disbelief clouded Althea's face as she steadied herself. Her shield had actually been pierced through by the blade! Blood dripped from her left arm. They hung limply by her side!

The blade was actually stuck inside!

This time, there was a bit of fear on her face. When she raised her head to stare at Erian, her face paled! Erian was nowhere to be found

"Watch out!"

Prince Silva's voice sounded out from instantly jolting her from her astonishment.

A threatening feeling suddenly enveloped her. Without hesitation, Althea took out what seem to be two chips and slapped them together.

Suddenly a transparent purple force field enveloped her like an egg. The instant the shield formed, it instantly distorted a fist slammed into it from above.

"Bang!"

Shockwaves rippled through the air in a violent rage as the force spread, using the air as a medium, it destroyed any nearby trees and buildings in the process.

Erian's jumped backward, landing with a slight thud. Ignoring the crack he created on the ground Erian's curiously stared at the egg-shaped force field. This was the first time he was seeing something like this and in fact, he revealed a bit of excitement on his face.

Seeing a live force field was every man's dream on earth and seeing this seem to have sparked Erian's curiosity, secretly giving him a sense of satisfaction.

But there was something that would satisfy him more, and that was breaking the force field!

Althea stood inside the egg-shaped force field and stared at Erian with a newfound look that seem to contain both a hint of fear and also something odd hidden in the depth of her eyes.

Erian's muscles expanded and constricted. His veins pulsed as the massive amount of nuclear energy roiled off him like a tidal wave.

With a boom, dust rose to the ground as he vanished. The next time he was seen was behind Althea! His fists clenched tightly as he slammed against the force field with extreme force.

"BOOM!"

Instantly, the forcefield cracked as though it was made of glass, web-shaped cracks that spread through it the entirely of the force field.

But even then, the forcefield didn't give in as Erian had expected.

Erian's eyebrows rose up in slight admiration. "Even 70 percent of my strength still didn't crack it." 𝘧𝓇𝒆𝗲𝓌𝙚𝙗𝓷o𝘷𝒆𝘭.𝐜𝚘𝒎

Just as Erian was about to release another punch, the sky suddenly darkened as golden thunder and lightning filled the sky. Prince Silva actually activated his titan form. He had leaped a distance of fifty meters and was transforming as gravity pulled him down.

Erian's lips immediately titled to a smirk. "You really shouldn't have done that."
