Chapter 989 Begin

989 Chapter 989 Begin "I'll go home with good news this time, mother. I swear." Clark hugged his adopted mother on this world.

"You better do that brother or else I won't ever forgive you for making mom cry." The pale little sister pouted in fake anger. She loved his brother and was easily prone to forget and forgive easily.

The sorrows of yesterday all gone and no more.

"Of course, little Georgia. Your big brother won't fail you this time." Our bored gamer smiled and went on to begin his day with nothing but his cheap clothes on him.

He moved to the better part of the slums and arrived at a place of whores and gambling. A scarred dangerous man barred the gates to the establishment.

"Move. I'm looking for Mister Lucky. I have a big business proposal for him." Clark said to the guard dog.

"Watch your tongue, boy. If you don't want me to break what little bones you have one inch at a time." The guard dog threatened and took a couple of steps towards our very own protagonist.

"Yeah. You do that but you'll make your boss unhappy. I remember hearing about Mister Lucky's temper from the people in my place. He'll surely give you a fat pay raise by beating me up." Clark smiled smugly.

No trace of fear could be seen from his face whatsoever.

"Fuck you!" The guard dog rose in anger and was about to give a clenched fist treatment towards our good gamer. It appeared like mercy and compassion was an instinct word in the slums.

"BANG!" And so our bored gamer replied in kind. His body flashed like a ghost and delivered a violent kick towards the nuts of the guard dog.

"CRACK!" A pair of eggs could be heard breaking from the ordeal and a brilliant pause in time occurred in this picture. A breath more and the broken consequence serenaded the scene in full.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" The guard dog screamed in pain but unfortunately for him, his problem was only just beginning.

"DING!"

"DING!"

"DING!" Bones were shattered and grinded with absolute perfection starting from the feet and upwards.

It was a gruesome scene indeed and perhaps fainting into unconsciousness was a kind passive escape that befell unto the guard dog.

Nevertheless, this guard dog would wake up a changed man after losing his balls on this ordeal.

It was seen by many people outside the club and they were all of them shaken by the degree of ferocity that a young boy could make with the proper motivation to do so.

"Too fragile for a man." Clark shook his head in disappointment. He walked basically unimpeded thereafter.

A silent man in the crowd watched everything in silence but his stoic expression changed when he felt the vision of our good gamer land in his direction.

This silent man felt death touch his cheeks at this time. But this strange feeling vanished in a blink of an eye which made this silent man question his senses.

"Was it just my imagination?" The silent man mused but largely discarded this notion. He was born and raised in these dangerous slums and so he trusted his sharp instincts fully.

It has saved him more times than he could ever dare to count. The silent man filed the boy's face and name to memory. A few minutes more and the boy went out in one piece.

It was then the silent man's turn to come inside the business of flesh and money. He maneuvered amidst the high and dancing people in morning time until he arrived at his boss' office.

The silent man found his boss brooding deeply in his lonesome. Not one man opened his mouth until 30 minutes had elapsed.

"Did you feel it too, my beautiful spider? That boy has changed a lot." The boss nicknamed Mister Lucky broke the stale air.

"I would assume that he had his ability awakened prior today. He beat up Emilio pretty badly. Our gut won't be walking anytime soon… or ever." The silent man named Spider assessed.

"So we have another Nen Ability User in our home. I fear that we will see vast changes happen right before our eyes soon enough." Mister Lucky forecasted.

"What did you see, boss? Will the boy be good or bad for us?" Spider was alarmed.

"I…" Mister Lucky closed his eyes and saw visions of varying circumstances. Most of them ended up with him dying an ugly death and a few positive results in contrast also.

He stopped when he felt a massive headache arrived to reprimand him of his folly. The changing tides of the future were not so easily gazed at all.

"Keep an eye on the boy and report everything to me every day. Assign Jasper and his dogs to monitor the boy's family. I don't want anything bad happen to them."

Mister Lucky instructed before he cradled his head with his hands. Some muffled shouts came next which depicted the excruciating pain that assailed his head at the moment.

"Will do, boss!" Spider nodded and hastily left the office. He knew that the boy was bad news simply because of how his boss reacted to using his ability.

This was the first time that he saw his boss receive such a massive Nen backlash.

"Luka Granger. Just what have you become." The Spider muttered our avid gamer's name on this world before going on the task at hand.

"The fuck, boy? You're here again? Do you have so much money that you want to donate it daily to this place?" The test instructor jested. He was the same teacher that managed the exams yesterday.

The outcome was a failing grade towards the true Luka Granger.

"Same as yesterday, I borrowed some. But I doubt the results would be the same this time around." Clark shrugged and walked towards a decade old computer.

This poor testing center was so bad that it has not updated its hard wares after all the years of usage.

"Hah! Don't make me laugh boy. You have an hour. Begin!"
