Chapter 7 - : The True Moonlight

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: The True Moonlight

Chapter 7: The Real Moonlight

The next morning, the dawn spread everywhere.

Jiang Qin sneaked out of his house, hopped on his bicycle, and rode around the city before heading into the Jeju City Zoo.

Because it was a double whammy of Sunday and summer vacation, there was a huge crowd at the zoo entrance, even more crowded than a temple fair.

An hour later, Jiang Qin squeezed his way out of the zoo, with his shoes almost getting trampled.

After he exited, he squatted in front of the gate and took a big sip of water. Then, he pulled out his Nokia phone and called Guo Zihang, asking him to come over.

Guo Zihang's house wasn't far from here, and after receiving Jiang Qin's call, he immediately pedaled his way here. Despite sweating profusely along the way, he was in a great mood.

He now looked forward to being summoned by Jiang Ge every day, always feeling that he could make money in the next moment. But when he found Jiang Qin, he couldn't help but freeze on the spot.

Jiang Qin was squatting on the ground, holding two plucked chickens in his hands.

"Jiang Ge, what are you doing?"

Jiang Qin shook the chickens in his hands and said, "I bought two chickens for ten yuan. I'm giving you one to take back for your mom to stew for you."

Guo Zihang looked at the sign of the zoo, still puzzled but greatly impressed. "Why are you strolling in the zoo with animals?"

"I didn't bring them; I bought them. These are the chickens they feed to the tigers in the zoo. A chicken in the market costs eleven yuan, but when you buy them for the tigers, they're half price."

"Then...why don't you go feed the tigers?"

Jiang Qin's eyes sharpened. "I bought these chickens with my own skills at half price. Why should I feed the tigers?"

Guo Zihang opened his mouth, hesitated for a while, and finally said, "Are you trying to fleece the zoo?"

"Stop the nonsense. Do you want it or not?"

"I want it. I love chicken!"

Guo Zihang took the chicken Jiang Qin handed him, squeezed the chicken's neck, and after taking a look, his expression suddenly became very complicated.

He could already imagine a scene where the zoo's tigers and the administrators were reconciling their accounts but couldn't make the numbers add up.

The tiger would say, "I didn't eat it. Don't falsely accuse me!

The administrator said, "Stop arguing. It's you who ate it."

The tiger replied, "You damn well stole my chicken, and you have the nerve to accuse me! Anyway, I didn't eat it."

The administrator asked, "So you didn't eat it, but did you eat the dog?"

"Jiang Ge, why did you come to the zoo to buy chickens?"

"I plan to buy discounted chickens in bulk from the zoo, secretly take them out, and sell them in the market for ten yuan each. With just one flip, I can double the price."

"Why did you only buy two, then?"

"I estimated that the security guard at the zoo entrance was quite strong. I don't think I can beat him, so I called you to be the vanguard and test his combat skills for me."

"Don't do this, Jiang Ge. I'm the most cowardly guy around here. Forget about fighting; I even stutter when I curse!"

"You're useless, only thinking about eating!"

Jiang Qin put the chicken he had in a plastic bag and took a sip of mineral water.

Engaging in these kinds of speculative activities did indeed make quick money, but he knew he couldn't do it all the time. He didn't want to get into trouble and just wanted to make money standing up. Moreover, these small tricks were far from his ultimate goal since his reincarnation.

Jiang Qin stood up, handed his chicken to Guo Zihang to take back, and rode his bike to the next destination, the Jeju City Library.

He was currently struggling with how to get his first bucket of gold but had found no viable solutions.

Damn it, it's really tough without a system.

However, even if he had no clue, he didn't plan to sit at home because he knew that laziness begets more laziness. This was a truth he had learned in his previous life. So, he decided to go to the library to find some books, hoping they might inspire him.

""How to Become a Charming Man that Rich Women Love""

""Effective Opening Lines When Meeting Rich Women""

""Fifteen Gentlemanly Details That Captivate Rich Women""

""The Magnificent Transformation of the Third-Generation Tang Monk""

""Successful Cases of Courting Rich Women""

Jiang Qin picked out a few books from the humanities and social sciences section, intending to study them carefully.

Honestly, in his current situation, he believed that the only shortcut to his first bucket of gold was to court a rich woman. A young man with strength and vitality, working hard to make money, was not something to be ashamed of.

Jiang Qin carried a stack of books to the reading area but hadn't sat down yet when his gaze was suddenly drawn to the southeast corner.

There sat a young lady wearing a waist-cinching long dress. A portion of her fair, snow-white arm rested on the table. Her eyes, beneath her thick eyelashes, were lively like water, her red lips were full and luscious, and her long, silky hair cascaded down her shoulders, glistening like a pearl in the sunlight.

The young girl was holding a thick book at the moment, reading it attentively, her gaze constantly flickering, displaying a graceful and docile demeanor.

Jiang Qin was momentarily stunned, as if a related memory had been activated in his mind.

Feng Nanshu, the genius girl from Class 3 of the senior year, the silent beauty of the school, the true moonlight of Chengnan High School.

It was said that she was chauffeured to and from school every day in a winged car, accompanied by a dedicated driver and bodyguards. Her family background was extremely mysterious.

Some said her father was a wealthy businessman doing international business, others claimed she was a princess exiled from the capital city, and some even said she was a hidden illegitimate child who couldn't be exposed to the light. In any case, there were all sorts of rumors, but their credibility was low.

However, Feng Nanshu did indeed exude an air of a wealthy family's daughter. She had a cold personality, no friends, and had never spoken a word to anyone other than answering questions in class.

It was precisely because of her icy demeanor that, coupled with her imposing bodyguards, she had countless admirers, but no one dared to confess their feelings to her.

Chu Siqi had been the crush of many people, but she still paled in comparison to Feng Nanshu.

After entering college, Jiang Qin had encountered many girls who could rival Chu Siqi, but Feng Nanshu was still a remarkable presence that he found breathtaking.

Mr. Lu Xun was not wrong; there truly were people with jade-like beauty in the world.

But was that phrase really said by Lu Xun?

Jiang Qin thought for a moment, feeling indifferent, unable to recall whether the famous quote was indeed attributed to Lu Xun.

Meanwhile, Feng Nanshu seemed to have sensed that someone was watching her and raised an eyebrow, glancing in his direction.

In that momentary eye contact with Jiang Qin, her eyelashes trembled slightly, and she quickly refocused her gaze on the book in her hands.

Indeed, she was as aloof as ever.

Jiang Qin gave a fair assessment and then walked over, sitting at the table opposite her.

Reading could be a boring task, and when you couldn't concentrate, looking at a beautiful woman was a good alternative. Reading was for making money, looking at a beautiful woman was for reading, ultimately, they were both tools, in line with his principle of prioritizing money.

Jiang Qin took out a book and placed it in front of him, casually glancing at the book Feng Nanshu was holding.

""Magic-Eyed Girl Peggy Sue""

Hmm?

Shouldn't a girl with such a cold temperament be reading literary novels like "Kafka on the Shore" with a touch of sophistication? Why was she reading a fantasy adventure novel geared towards a younger audience?

Just as Jiang Qin was slightly bewildered, the book in front of him suddenly moved up.

The half of her face that had been exposed was completely covered, not even leaving a glimpse of her attractive features.

Jiang Qin snapped back to reality and couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

She won't even let me see half of her face? Truly aloof.

Jiang Qin didn't mind and reached out to open the book in front of him.
