Chapter 233: Lang Lan end

Chapter 233: Lang Lan end

Heng Huizhong kept replaying the video at his hand. He was in denial, at first. Thus, he tended to check the authenticity of that video. Turned out, it was a real deal, not fabricated. The woman in the video was indeed his wife, Lang Lan. Being merciless and tyrannizing his ex-wife and son. Threatening them with all sorts of warnings.

At that time, he indeed had not wanted his son to appear at the Will Hearing.

He firmly believed that his son was a worthless piece of trash who would end up bringing ruin to the company. That was what Lang Lan had ingrained in his mind... But after all the acumen he had displayed in the company, Heng Huizhong couldn't bring himself to believe it was the same son he was ashamed of.

He could see everything now.

He could see the reality of his wife.

There were no longer any sweet words sheltering her venomous heart. The reality was right in front of his eyes yet he wanted to deny. But he couldn't.

He recalled the time he had chosen Lang Lan over his Xu Baozhai. A woman who had stayed quiet for so long for the sake of her son, a woman with such a pure, kind-hearted heart; he had given up such a precious gem for a spiteful woman as Lang Lan.

Xu Baozhai had said to him: "You will regret this one day." And the day had arrived.

He regretted it now. He regretted all the decisions he had made in his life.

In one of the videos, Lang Lan had been using his name to tyrannize Xu Baozhai, implying that she was there to warn them on his behalf. Well, he could never have gone as far as to oppress them using such means. He had even wanted to financially support them.

What must Xu Baozhai think? Did she really believe that he was the one who sent Lang Lan to oppress them? That was why she had never tried to complain to him? It appeared to be so. She must think he was a horrible person. Well, he was. To have given up on her for some random wench, he was indeed a horrible person.

While Heng Huizhong wallowed in his sorrow, Lang Lan appeared in the lawn.

"Husband?" Her unsure tone pulled him out of the abyss of self loathing. His eyes hardened at once. "What do you want?"

Lang Lan flinched at the coldness of his tone. Then. she quickly made way to him. She was about to say something when, out of sudden, her eyes caught the clip on the phone in his hands. She gasped in shock. Heng Huizhong's eyes were unhazed. It appeared he did not intend to hide it from her. Everything was to be a

ddressed today.

"Have I ever mistreated you?" In a sharp tone, he asked. His eyes were cold.

"I-I can explain!" Lang Lan stuttered, panic-stricken. "It's fake. It's definitely fake! You have no idea! Yesterday, at the party, I was confronted by Xu Baozhai. She said she—" A slap resounded in the lawn, so harsh that it knocked Lang Lan senseless.

"I have been tolerant," spat Heng Huizhong. "But this is my limit. Even at this point, you are going to deny? I can no longer tolerate you any second!"

"Heng Huizhong!" Lang Lan warned, in a state of shock a panic. With tears streaming out of her eyes, she said. "Think of our son, Heng Fu! If you abandon me, what will happen? Have you ever thought about that? You have nothing left. And Heng Fu will never forgive you for treating his mother in this way. You will also lose your only son!"

"When you turn desperate, you will not even spare your son and pull him into everything? Why haven't I been able to see this before? Why haven't I been able to see how blackened your heart is?"

"Heng Huizhong, we can work it out, okay? I can explain it. I had a reason for everything I did—"

"My father had always been right. He had been right about you. It just took me too long to realize."

"Heng Huizhong..."

"From today onwards, you are no longer my wife. Get out of my sight." Heng Huizhong slammed legal papers on the ground. He had came prepared. After checking the validity of the video, he had contacted his lawyer and prepared the divorce papers right away. "We are over."

Jing Lihua would not have bothered with Lang Lan if she hadn't messed with her first. She just hoped that Heng Bingwen did not hold it against her. After all, it was his family. Before doing something drastic, she should have listened to his opinions.

Summarizing the whole situation, she emailed to him.

A second later, a message came that made Jing Lihua smile.

Heng Bingwen revealed his happiness at her doings. Going as far as calling her move badass and cool. Reading through the content of his email, she made her way up at her apartment. Fussy quietly followed her, apparently tired and carving for her soft, warm bed.

When she reached the last part of the email, she read Heng Bingwen assuring her that her link with Zhou Liqin would not be made into the headlines the next d

ay. Jing Lihua almost sighed in relief when he stressed in bold letters that the person she was trying to hide it from would find in anyways.

She paused. Her lips pressing together in annoyance while she once again, resolved in heart to discipline him the next time she met him.

"Meow" Fussy made a noise when Jing Lihua wouldn't turn the lights on too occupied with her phone.

Taking off her blazer, Jing Lihua carelessly switched on the light only to find a gloomy figure sitting cooly over her couch. The cold expressions over his face confirmed one thing for Jing Lihua.

'Ehm looks like Heng Bingwen was right about something.'
