Chapter 35 35 – First Time In Five Hundred Years
The sun had just risen, and the group of goblins was visible from a distance. Ritor, Garthur, and Emily stood outside the village, preparing to confront the green creatures.
"So, Emily." Garthur scratched his head. "About your story last night…. I'm still curious about your master."
The keeper grinned. "You ask that when we are going to war? Isn't it time for us to strategize?"
"Let's go!" Ritor dashed forward, and Garthur soon caught up with him.
"Isn't it time for us to strategize!?" Emily repeated her question in a roar-like voice.
However, the two minotaurs didn't care and continued to charge forward. Emily was forced to follow them.
"You brainless minotaurs!" She shouted again.
The giant goblin also sped up, stomping and kicking on some of his own comrades.
Ritor threw his big axe. When the giant goblin caught the weapon with both hands, that minotaur leaped forward, crashing into his foe with his horns.
"Use your axe, stupid idiot!" Emily was bewildered as Ritor, and the giant goblin grappled on the ground instead. "You wasted the weapon I gave you!"
The pale purple-haired woman dodged the arrows that were about to hit her.
Meanwhile, Garthur was unaffected by the arrow stuck in his body. He continued forward and swung his club.
However, the mace only hit a few goblins. Most of them jumped and landed on Garthur's body. The minotaur roared in pain as the goblins stabbed him.
"Don't mind the pain!" Ritor, who was still struggling with the giant goblin, snapped.
The giant goblin used one second of carelessness to pin down Garthur and then beat him in the face. The general felt the tremendous impact on his cheeks because his enemy used brass knuckles.
On the other hand, Emily took a detour while observing the horde of goblins. They looked fiercer than usual. Maybe because they want revenge, they are more aggressive and have no fear anymore.
That can be seen when Garthur removes those creatures from his body and slams them. In just a short time, they could rise and land again on the minotaur's body, although some of them were clearly injured.
Emily thought that she should be a bit aggressive too. So, she finally ran towards the little creatures, pointing her giant sword forward, while the goblins also came at her.
She accelerated, then leaped forward. Her sword struck the goblins, instantly destroying them.
Then, she twirled her body, her sword becoming like a propeller hitting the enemies.
She hadn't finished her move yet, but her vision suddenly darkened. There was some kind of goo on her face out of nowhere. She tried to release the sticky object, but the goblins jumped on her, knocking her down.
The three of them were overwhelmed by the goblins. Those green creatures really didn't care about their own lives. They just attacked and attacked.
"I won't lose to you guys!" Finally, Ritor was able to free himself from the giant goblin. He grabbed his axe, then swung it at that goblin's neck.
Instead of falling, the giant goblin attacked Ritor again with the axe still stuck to his neck. pan(da-n0vel.c)om
"You didn't use that weapon well, you idiot!" Emily, just escaping from the goblins who were about to **** her, snapped at the minotaur. "The head should have been cut off! Ugh!"
Emily pulled out a goblin that pierced the nape of her neck. She was also still overwhelmed by the goblins. Her attacks were repeatedly intercepted by the goblin that landed on her hands.
Not to mention her injured left eye. She couldn't see her surroundings properly.
Even so, she found one odd goblin. The creature separated itself from the others and raised a magic wand with a glowing red tip.
Was it magic to control his comrades?
No wonder Emily had not seen the attack from the goblin mage. That bastard was making his comrades go berserk. Emily didn't expect it because the goblin mages had never performed magic like that five hundred years ago.
The keeper pushed forward, repelling the goblins with her sword, occasionally releasing the green creature from her body. Her face and neck were covered in blood from their stabs, but she would never give up.
She grinned instead. She hadn't felt challenged on a battlefield like this in a long time.
And finally, she was close to the goblin mage, who didn't notice her coming. That magic user closed his eyes.
However, a black shadow suddenly covered her body. When the keeper looked up, she saw that the giant goblin was already in the air.
Ritor had just tossed the giant goblin's body brutally, without a care for the surroundings.
Emily didn't even have time to scream as the huge body fell on her, the goblin mage, and the few little creatures. The sound it made was quite booming, as well as shaking the ground.
The goblins stopped attacking in an instant. They looked around, looking confused. The giant goblin also couldn't get up anymore with the axe stuck in his neck.
The Minotaurs made the most of it. Ritor pulled his axe, then swung it around, sending the little monsters' bodies flying with blood. Meanwhile, Garthur crushed the goblins with his mace, like someone smacking a mosquito.
"Keep chasing them, don't let anyone escape!" Ritor gave the order.
Even though his body is covered in blood, Garthur still chases those who run away. This time he really had no trouble, as almost no goblins attacked him. Some of them did shoot arrows, but that didn't affect him much.
It didn't take long before the goblins were gone. Garthur put his bloodied club on his shoulders with a satisfied smile but instantly grimaced upon seeing his boss's face almost entirely red with blood.
"Are you okay, sir?" Ritor gulped, amazed that his boss could still stand up straight. "You look bad."
"I'm fine." Ritor took a deep breath, looked at the corpses of the goblins, then grinned. "Well, it's quite fun. They put up quite a fight."
Garthur also looked around, but for another purpose. "By the way, where's Emily?"
Ritor raised an eyebrow. "Emily who?"
"She is the keeper of that undead cave, sir. Did you forget her name?"
"Aah."𝙛𝘳𝘦e𝓌e𝗯n𝗼ѵ𝙚l.𝒄𝚘𝑚
