Gu Qingxin had just finished washing the dishes and walked out of the kitchen, Tang Rongling’s gaze fell onto her face.

“Alright then.” Lin Yin got up and retreated to the bedroom, she believed her daughter wouldn’t let her down.

After going back to her room, Gu Qingxin picked up her bag, and then she suggested, “Let’s go downstairs to talk.”

Tang Rongling was thinking the same, after all, there were some things that Lin Yin wasn’t supposed to hear.

The two of them went downstairs one after the other, Tang Rongling’s gaze stayed on her, not moving away even slightly.

Once downstairs, Tang Rongling directly asked, “Where have you been this week? Why haven’t you gone to school or come home?”

“That’s my personal matter, and I don’t need to report it to you.” Gu Qingxin said, pulling her wallet out from her bag, and taking out some money to present to him, “This should be enough to cover your medicine.”

Tang Rongling looked at the money before him, slowly raised his head and stared hard at her, questioning, “Have you been with that man this whole week?”

“As I said, it’s my personal business! Take the money and stop seeking me out.” Gu Qingxin stuffed the money into his pocket.

Tang Rongling pulled out the money directly, throwing it into the air in anger.

About a dozen red notes fluttered down, landing on the ground.

“You!” Gu Qingxin glared at him angrily, squatting to pick up the money.

“Gu Qingxin, are you willingly debasing yourself like this?” Tang Rongling yanked her up from the ground.

“What I do is my business! If I debase myself, that’s my business too! What does it have to do with you?” Gu Qingxin snapped back.

“How much do you owe that man, I’ll repay it for you! Leave him right now!” Tang Rongling inhaled deeply, barely managing to suppress the emotions bubbling inside him.

Gu Qingxin, inflamed, threw the money she had picked up at him, “It’s none of your business! Since the day you betrayed me with Gu Yunci, we have nothing to do with each other! I beg you not to bother my life anymore!”

After her furious rant, she forcefully pushed him away, turning to run back inside.

Tang Rongling watched her retreating figure with a gloomy expression, he looked at the money scattered on the ground, and began to pick it up one note at a time.
