Chapter 262: Revelations u0026 Resemblances
There was an eerie silence as five distinct elements—Fire, Water, Wind, Lightning, and Darkness—flickered to life above Jay's palm. They moved with a majestic grace, intertwining and swirling together, their vivid colors and energies clashing in a mesmerizing display.
The elements gradually merged into a swirling orb of pitch-black smoke, pulsing with jagged streaks of thunder. The ominous glow from the dark sphere cast long shadows across the room, amplifying the tension as everyone watched.
Everyone except his siblings and the two other Alpha Chosen stared in disbelief, unable to fully grasp the spectacle unfolding before them. Jay's display of power was unlike anything they had ever seen—a manifestation of something beyond their comprehension.
Nearby, the servers stood frozen, eyes closed, their expressions vacant. Jay had locked their consciousness in a suspended state, rendering them motionless and unaware of the extraordinary scene unfolding in front of them. Even when he released them from the trance, they would have no recollection, as if nothing out of the ordinary had occurred.
As tension hung in the air, Jay's calm voice cut through the silence. "Miss Olivia here is one of the 11 Chosen and has witnessed firsthand the horrors that lurk in the Trial World."
All eyes shifted to Olivia. With an unwavering gaze, she simply nodded in confirmation, her silence amplifying the weight of Jay's words. Without uttering a single word, Olivia made an elegant gesture, tracing her forefinger upward with a subtle wave of her hand. Instantly, the plates, silverware, and every item on the dining table began to rise, lifting gently off the surface. They floated gracefully, as if cradled by an invisible current, defying gravity with effortless ease. The room filled with the soft clinks and faint hum of levitating dishes.
Lokesh's eyes widened with pure excitement. "This is amazing!" he whispered, more to himself than anyone else. He leaned forward, unable to contain his curiosity. "So, you guys can actually do all this? This… this is unreal!" His fascination was clear as he marveled at the abilities on display.
Jay's father, Ankith, sat back in his chair, his brows furrowed in deep thought. He was a man who prided himself on rationality, but this was beyond any logic he was used to. He let out a slow breath and nodded, as if accepting an unchangeable reality. "It's hard to wrap my head around it," he admitted, his voice calm but tinged with concern. "But if this is the world we're stepping into, we need to start thinking about how to adapt—fast. Ignoring what's right in front of us isn't an option anymore."
Ankith's words seemed to snap his brother, Umesh, out of his daze. He quickly shifted from disbelief to practicality, realizing that resisting the new reality would only hold them back. "You're absolutely right," Umesh said, fully alert and already calculating the potential impact. "The sooner we accept it, the better prepared we'll be for what's coming." His gaze sharpened as he addressed Jay directly. "Doesn't the fact that no power source other than Spirit Energy holds relevance after Assimilation mean it completely redefines the market value of the S.E.E.D. technology? This could be the biggest business opportunity we've ever seen."
Before Jay could respond, Kay smoothly stepped in, his tone firm but not unkind. "You're not wrong, Uncle—there's definitely a shift that presents enormous potential. But the priority isn't just business. The focus here is saving lives. These new technology products are crucial in preventing global chaos when existing systems inevitably fail. The stakes go far beyond profits—this is about ensuring the survival of millions."
Kay's calm yet decisive response didn't come across as dismissive; it was simply the way he operated—always centered on the bigger picture. The way Kay balanced pragmatism with a deep sense of responsibility brought back memories of times when Umesh had been reprimanded by their father for being too focused on business profits. Far from feeling offended, Umesh actually found himself filled with admiration. It struck him how effortlessly those values had taken root in Kay, reflecting the very principles their father had always championed.
Ankith's expression shifted as he absorbed the gravity of Kay's words, noting the calm authority with which his son spoke. It was a tone that reminded him of their father—the Nav Yuga Founder himself. For a brief moment, Ankith felt as though he was listening to his father, not his son. It was clear that Kay had long been aware of the unfolding crisis and had taken proactive steps to prepare for it. The realization filled Ankith with a mixture of pride and reassurance. Seeing Umesh's respectful nod toward Kay, Ankith couldn't help but feel a deep sense of satisfaction. He knew that with Kay's guidance, the family—and perhaps the world—was in capable hands.
The realization that his two sons were working together—especially on something as monumental as saving the entire world—filled Ankith with a quiet sense of hope, even amid the gravity of the situation.
Putting his thoughts aside for the moment, Ankith turned to Jay, his concern evident. "This Assimilation you mentioned—it's happening within six months? Even with the best efforts, can we produce enough of these products to truly make a difference on a global scale?"
Jay's gaze remained steady as he responded. "You're right—by conventional means, the S.E.E.D. technology wouldn't even begin to replace the innovations and advancements that emerged over the past century. But we have an ace up our sleeve. Someone on our side who can make the impossible possible."
Before anyone could ask further, a burst of light flashed above the dining table, and suddenly, Baby MJ appeared out of thin air. Hovering above the table, he pressed his small palms together in front of his chest and greeted everyone with a cheerful "Namaste." His smile was wide, his eyes gleaming with excitement as he introduced himself to Jay's parents for the first time.
"I've heard so much about you all!" Baby MJ exclaimed, his enthusiasm unmistakable. His energy was infectious, lighting up the room with his playful spirit. "It's an honor to finally meet my Master's family!"
Jay's parents blinked in surprise, still adjusting to the idea of a child-like being casually materializing before them—and looking peculiarly identical to their eldest son when he was a toddler. The resemblance was uncanny, from the curious glint in his eyes to the chubby cheeks that mirrored Jay's childhood photos. Despite the shock, they couldn't help but smile back at the lively newcomer, caught between amazement and nostalgia.
Baby MJ's joy was genuine, and it was clear that meeting the family was something he'd been eagerly anticipating for some time.
