Chapter 469: Come And Die

The Spirits seemed desperate, despite them never being able to voice their opinions, it seems that their patriarchs and matriarchs, the parents of the spirits and divine spirits were able to speak for them. The Spirit King, or the one named "the supreme deity of spirits" was a tyrannical elven lord that had been using the power of spirits to reach all his goals.

Using their power and abusing it with the many other children he had, who all could use the power of spirits, it ended over exhausting the spirits to the point that many began to fall and become ill, some even died. Over the eons since this race of spirit manipulators was born, the spirit quantity across the galaxy began to run lower and lower.

After all, the power to call spirits was rare, and those that could do it didn't abused their power to the extent that the Spirit King taught to his children and his enormous empire… Over the eons, the spirit elves continued abusing spirits and asking them to do everything for them, they even created magic technology based in the usage of spirit magic, and more, making the divine spirits enraged.

However, because the spirit king held authority and dominance over them with his innate powers over spirit magic, they were forced to obey him… until another wielder with his same capabilities was born and awakened his bloodline powers through cosmic energy, Edward.

Usually it would had taken him years to master the usage of divine spirit magic, but thanks to the spirits willing helping him because they wanted him to pay back the favor later on by defeating the spirit king and the spirit elves, and freeing them from this pseudo slavery, he was able to learn and master divine spirit magic in an incredibly short amount of time.

Now, everything was rather clear for Edward… He was some sort of chosen now. Deep down, he really disliked these types of stories about chosen ones, but he really didn't had any other choice…

Meanwhile, within the battlefield, as the two Great God Elves died, the other two were suddenly caught off guard by a distortion in space as they were attempting to escape!

CRAAASH!

A sudden distortion became a fracture, as an enormous black hole began to absorb them in midair, and from within this blackhole, the golden eyes of Abyss emerged, as a smile showed up within he beautiful lips.

"Come on~ Come to play with me!" She laughed.

"Y-You bastard!"

"A Shoggoth?! Her power over space magic is insanely powerful…!"

The two Great God Elves whose names were not memorized by anybody within Chaos faction because they really didn't cared about some slightly stronger fodder were being dealt by Abyss, as she unleashed her spacetime manipulation divine magic capabilities, controlling the space around the two great gods!

The two elves desperately unleashed spirit summons, as elemental storms of several colors attacked Abyss, but they were all promptly… deleted from existence.

"Spatial Deletion."

TRUUM!

"Eh!?"

Their powerful attacks simply disappeared! Spatial Deletion was a powerful Spacetime attribute Divine Magic Spell that allowed Abyss to delete a part of space and anything within it around 20 meters from within her body, when the attacks got really close to her, she simply continuously deleted them.

Of course, this costed an insane amount of divine energy and cosmic energy, but she had accumulated a lot just for these two idiots! Sadly, she didn't had enough range to delete them out of existence, and even if she had the range, Spatial Deletion cannot ignore defensive stats, and it will weaken if the foe has strong stats for magic defense. Of course, it didn't counted direct attacks such as explosive elemental magic.

"Gravity Pull!" Abyss said, unleashing a strong gravity force and pulling the elves towards her! They desperately gritted their teeth, as they tried to resist the gravity pull, unleashing all sorts of techniques and magic spells, but they were all in vain as they were dragged towards her directly! The storms of elemental magical attacks were completely useless against her, and because their proficiency over weapons was terrible, they were relying too much in their spirit magics for everything!

"Dimensional Fracture." Abyss said mercilessly, as she got the elves right in front of her and immediately decided to conjure one of her strongest spells, fracturing the dimensional fabric for a slight and small second, enough to completely crush both of the elves bodies and shred them into pieces, all while their souls pitifully broke apart into countless glass-like pieces!

CRAAASSSH!

"UUAAAGGGH…!"

"AAAAGGH!"

The two elves cried in agony for the last time, before completely falling into silence. They were not even able to say a word at all before they were completely destroyed… How pitiful, they couldn't even last longer than that.

"Well, Chaos is busy, should I give him their souls now?" Wondered Abyss, as she quickly decided to teleport the souls of the fallen to Chaos divine realm.

Chaos had not stayed still, deciding to show himself right after his troops and his army of summons rushed in the frontlines, as he watched into the distance with great contempt… and then acted.

He flew down below and reached into the center of the battlefield like a flash of cosmic energy, a blue, black, and red blur that was barely discernable, but whose presence set the entirety of the middle of the battlefield in silence.

The Four Cardinals, who ended surrounding him were left speechless by his immense aura, he was already someone so close to become a Supreme Deity that he created ripples in space with his very presence and his divine aura… the Four Cardinals, amidst the desperation of battle, couldn't help but confront him and buy as much time as possible, quite possibly by trying to also make him show his capabilities so their goddess could see what he was truly capable of.

Flame, Sothe, Stone, and Aquaious all flew towards him, raising their enormous golden weapons against Chaos.

"Very well then, come and die." He said.
