Chapter 479: Edward's Counterattack!

BOOOOOMMM!!!

It all happened to soon. The Spirit King was already relaxing. After having caught Edward, he just wanted to get this done with and go back to his slumber, being awake always annoyed him and he preferred to sleep for hundreds of years sometimes, accumulating divine energy through his slumber, and then slowly accumulating enormous quantities of divine power to grow stronger.

But it was interrupted in a second as his entire spaceship was engulfed in divine flames that none of his subjects could destroy. In a mere second, he saw everything being consumed by these flames, as he was the only one to recognize these flames as those wielded by Prometheus, the Divine Fire Spirit Father!

"W-What is the meaning of this?!" The Spirit King asked in shock, as he was suddenly blown away by the flames. An enormous spirit barrier made out of his supreme domain was formed around him, as the Dao of Spirits enhanced his barrier's strength to resist these powerful flames.

In a single second he found himself within outer space, and to the other side, there was a single Elf floating in the middle of space… Edward! He was holding into a staff he took out of his divine realm, and his entire body was covered by a coverture of his own Divine Domain as well…

"Edward… You bastard! Didn't you said you had already accepted your fate?! You dare defy me?" Asked the Spirit King. "Don't you know that any resistance is futile? My power… is greater than yours in every level!"

"I know, but I cannot go without giving a fight." Said Edward. "Uncle, your hate against my mother really pisses me off… I am usually a calm and composed person, but you really… You really anger me."

"As if I were to care about the wrath of a monkey like you." Sighed the Spirit King. "You might be able to bring the power of Prometheus, but can Prometheus fight my Oceanus?!"

The Spirit King suddenly summoned an enormous mass of water into outer space, no matter how cold it was in here, the water didn't froze, this was the titan of water, Oceanus! Spirits obeyed who summoned them, this even included divine spirits, as Edward had summoned Oceanus before, but now that he was summoned by the Spirit King, it was not his ally but his enemy…

"…" Oceanus remained in silence as he looked at Prometheus, the two powerful divine spirits made to fight for their summoners even though they were brothers.

"The Spirits are angered at you, uncle." Said Edward. "They chose me because they want to stop you and your people from abusing them."

"What? What sort of nonsense are you talking about?!" Asked the Spirit King. "Spirits are tools we use, not people… You think they even feel the slightest of annoyance? They're merely constructs made of magic and element… You're really a fool to believe such a stupid thing!"

"Foolish elf, you've believed this your entire lifetime?" Asked Prometheus. "Oceanus, stop fighting for him!" Said Prometheus, as he and Oceanus clashed against one another, divine flames and divine water exploded in outer space, creating a spectacle of many colors.

"A spirit speaking?!" Asked the Spirit King, no matter how much he had tried before, the spirits he summoned, nor those of his family never spoke… Even Oceanus remained in silence.

What made Edward so different compared to him and his family?

"Oh right, Oceanus cannot speak, right? None of the spirits summoned by you trash can speak, and you call yourselves "Spirit Elves"? Hah, bullshit! Your actual ability is that of enslaving spirits, but you don't possess Edward's ability [Spirit Whisper] which allows him to speak with spirits and also, in effect, allows us to speak as well… Did you ever thought that because we didn't speak we were something similar to artificial beings, you foolish knife ear?!" Roared Prometheus in anger, as his blazing fists clashed against Oceanus oceanic fists.

"T-That's…! Don't you dare insult me, Edward! You're doing some sort of illusion, aren't you?!" Asked the Spirit King. "There is no way that you spirits would be so insolent against me, the Spirit King!"

"Spirit King?! Bullshit!" Said Prometheus, unleashing an enormous storm of flames towards Oceanus, evaporating through most of his body!

FLUOOOSSH!

The storm of spiraling flames pierced through Oceanus, as if Oceanus himself decided to not use all of his power, letting himself be defeated! The flames crossed through his evaporated body as they reached the Spirit King, impacting him directly!

BOOOM!!!

The Spirit King protected himself with his barriers fueled with the Dao Essence from the Dao of Spirits he possessed, as he looked hatefully at Edward.

"This is all a lie, you're just trying to trick me… You useless garbage! You think you can even stand a chance against me?!" The Elf said, as his entire body suddenly exploded with his spiritual aura. suddenly, he summoned hundreds of Lesser Divine Spirits and thousands of Normal Spirits, forcing them all to fuse with his body!

FLUOOOOSSSH!

The countless colorful spirits were forced against their wills to merge with him, completely fusing with his divine soul and giving him incredible power, the truest power of a supreme god! It appeared that he was in fact weaker than most supreme gods, if it wasn't because he could fuse with many spirits forcefully at the same time…

In front of Edward there was a titan made of countless mixed spirits of many elemental colors and divine auras… it was over a kilometer big, and within its center there was the true body of the spirit king, protected in a layer of green-colored crystal, and smiling wickedly back at the "ant" he was going to crush.

However, Edward was strangely calm, and he even smiled… He had a reason for his confidence, but because the Spirit King had no idea, he simply grew more enraged.

"…No, I can't defeat you. But maybe he can." Said Edward.

And then, the Spirit King saw someone emerging from within Edward's Divine Realm!
