Chapter 169: New Changes to the Spirit Comms.

Inside the Cao clan main hall, Su Yen looked at the various elders with a calm expression.

Beside him were his people; their expressions were usual and calm. Zimo even had a light smile on his face.

His cultivation had broken through to the early Foundation Building realm stage 1. He glared at Huang Guo and Biyu with a sign of a winner on his face.

Huang Guo clicked his tongue and averted his gaze, while Biyu didn't have any expression on her face.

Since they came to Baiyun city, every one of them had gotten closer.

Under the strong influence of alcohol, they made a light competition among themselves to see who could reach the Foundation realm first.

Today, Zimo was the first among the three. Even though the two didn't utter a word, they were furious and planned to reach the Foundation realm as soon as possible.

Oblivious to the thoughts of those three, Su Yen began. "Now that the store is completed, we need to move to the next phase of the plan."

His voice resounded throughout the hall, and everyone listened with rapt attention.

Even though this was the Cao clan, they had long acclimated themselves as the subordinate clan of the barren landers.

Therefore, they were pleased and fully supported Su Yen giving them orders.

Besides, did they have no other option.

Su Yen looked at Cao Meng and asked, "You've long heard about the Spirit Comms, but you've never used it, right?"

Cao Meng widened her eyes in shock. Her breathing quickened, and she nodded with anticipation on her face.

Su Yen saw her happiness and chuckled lightly. "These past few days were a test for you and your clan. And you all passed."

With a wave of his hand, tens of small rings flew to Cao Meng and the other elders.

"You know how to do it, right? Get on with it," he commanded.

With trembling hands, the Cao members put the rings on their fingers and sent their consciousness into them.

Instantly, the monotonous voice of the Spirit Comms echoed in their minds.

'Welcome to the Spirit Comms.'

'Your unique number is: ******'

'You have unlimited Talktime.'

'You have free access to the Spirit Network and App.'

For a couple of seconds, the hall was quiet as the Cao members were trying to explore the new novelty of the Spirit Comms.

The more they explored the Spirit Comms, the greater their shock was.

Cao Meng retracted her consciousness from the Spirit Comms and looked at Su Yen with newfound respect.

She knew the Spirit Comms could allow people to communicate with one another, but she didn't think it would be this profound.

"Thank you," she muttered, her voice filled with gratitude.

"You're now my people. I won't treat you badly," Su Yen assured.

"Let's get back to real business," he commanded.

With a bittersweet smile on their faces, the elders retracted their consciousness from the Spirit Comms and looked at Su Yen.

"From the Spirit Comms welcome message, you noticed three things: your unique number, unlimited Talktime, and free access to the Spirit Network and app."

Everyone nodded.

"Good. The unlimited Talktime and free network access are only for my people. As for other people, they have to pay for it."

"The various stores won't be for the selling of the Spirit Comms alone but for the sale of Spirit Credits. There will be registration offices, banks, and others."

"Do you know why I asked you to note down those that extorted us and inflated their prices? It was for this."

"We're Barren Landers. No one dares to step on us and get away with it freely. Let's see how they react when they discover the Spirit Comms." Su Yen paused and sipped his tea.

However, everyone inside the hall wasn't as calm as him.

Their hearts were pounding heavily with excitement. They had been furious with those greedy bastards, but now, they were about to bleed.

Soothing his throat with warm tea, Su Yen continued. "Every person, clan, or group that extorted us will be paying ten times what they extorted from us."

"As for those that inflated their goods, ten times also. And you must realize, this isn't a one-time purchase. As long as you want to use the Spirit Comms, you need Talktime and Spirit Network access."

Cao Meng sucked in a cold breath; beads of sweat gathered on her forehead. She realized how screwed those greedy elite clans were.

To grasp how much they were screwed, she asked with a trembling voice. "H-how much would a Talktime cost?"

"For Talktime, 50 silver coins per week. And for Spirit Network: one gold coin per week," Su Yen paused for a moment before he added.

"This is for ordinary people. As for those greedy bastards, we are going to inflate it by what they did to us and then increase it by ten times."

Gasps.

Everyone had their jaws dropped to the ground. They stared at Su Yen with wide eyes. This was an overkill! Was this not too much?!

Elder Su Hua looked at Su Yen and chuckled. She knew how narrow-minded his sect master was.

He won't take anything lying down and would retaliate tenfold for what happened to him.

She could only shake her head and pity those greedy bastards. They would bleed and cry for what they were about to experience.

Looking at the shocked gaze of the people, Su Yen chuckled. 'What did they expect?' he thought. He took another sip from his tea and continued.

"Our people will arrive tonight and tomorrow. The sale of the Spirit Comms will begin."

Under the veil of the night, three massive ships sailed toward Baiyun city from the southern sea. On each ship were five hundred soldiers and hundreds of civilians.

Even though they were people trained by the Celestial Heavenly Sect to handle various stores, the lowest of their ranks were at the

Intermediate Body Building realm. Compared to the ordinary people in Baiyun city, they were too strong.

Slowly, the ships stopped at the seashore.

By the seashore, Biyu and her men were already waiting for them with a bright smile on their faces.

"Commander," a middle-aged man called happily as the door to the ship opened.

"Old man, what are you doing here?" Biyu called happily.

"What do you mean, what am I doing here? Since you can come, why can't I?" The man responded with a bright smile, performing a military salute.

"Alright. Alright. We need to move. We have a lot of things to do." Biyu waved her hand, gesturing the people to follow after her.

Under the veil of the night, another set of barren landers entered Baiyun city while the people of the city were deep in slumber.

As for the guards guarding the city gate, they had long been knocked unconscious by Zimo.
