Chapter 185: The Battle - Part 5 (Zimo and Biyu battle)

In front of the Cao clan, the dance there was more tense than ever. The darkness couldn't hold the deadly sound of battle that was raging back and forth.

Among the hundreds of Foundation building experts, two people were different from them. They were the ones in the middle with their swords dancing with unwavering momentum.

These two were Biyu and Zimo.

Biyu and Zimo had broken through to the Foundation Building realm, raising their threat to another level. Now, they have to depend on their bloodline every time to incapacitate their enemies.

Ah!

Zimo cut through the neck of a middle-aged man, blood splashing on his face.

Without batting an eye at the splashed blood on his face.

He kicked him on the chest, breaking the few ribs left on his chest, sending him flying.

Bang!

He sidestepped a deadly sword slash and turned his body to face the elderly man beside him and punched him in the chest.

Crack!

The bone on his chest caved in, and he stumbled back.

Zimo didn't dilly-dally, he followed up with a terrifying sword slash.

Bang!

His sword cleaved the elderly man into two.

A couple of meters from him was Biyu. Her movement was more fluid and deadlier than Zimo.

As the army commander, she was adept in the art of killing.

Her sword sliced into the body of her opponent like the thin fabric of paper, tearing it as easy as possible.

Miserable howls and screams echoed from their mouths.

Besides, she incorporated her bloodline power into her fighting style in a subtle manner.

Anytime her opponent tried to block her attack, they halted for a split of a second, allowing her to perform a deadly maneuver, killing them in one swift motion.

Right behind her, two peak Foundation Building experts attacked her on both sides.

Their attack came crashing on her from both sides, leaving no space for her to escape.

Realizing the deadly situation she was in, she leaned back, moved to her right, and used her movement skill.

Whoosh!

She avoided the deadly attack by an inch and appeared right in front of the woman on her left.

The woman didn't have time to process why their attack failed to touch their target when a cold, chilling sword light flashed toward her neck.

Bang!

Her head was separated from her neck, and with another swing, she was split into.

Biyu sensed another attack from her back. She turned swiftly and confronted the attack.

Boom!

The attack clashed together, and a deafening sound reverberated.

The old man on the other side creased his brow as he prepared to continue attacking when a terrifying sword light cut through the chaos and appeared right in front of him.

He only managed to open his mouth before the sword light cut through his mouth, separating his upper skull from the lower one.

Blood splashed like a broken dam, and the old man fell on his knees.

Veins stood straight, splashing blood continuously. Biyu didn't even wait a second before cleaving the headless body into two.

Even though Zimo and Biyu continued their massacre, their opponents swarmed toward them like bees.

In their minds, these two would soon get tired, and that would be their end.

As for those of the Cao clan inside the mansion, they weren't worried.

A couple of their men had jumped over the fence into the estate, ready to kill everyone in their path.

Meanwhile, inside the Cao clan, all the men that sneaked inside were facing another threat entirely.

No matter which angle they used to jump inside the estate, they all met the same fate.

Once they stepped into the estate, they met the same fate.

A terrifying sword appeared out of thin air, slicing them into pieces, leaving nobody intact.

Their death didn't even change the flow of the gentle night breeze.

Everything in the estate continued as if nothing had happened.

In a private courtyard, a young man dressed in ethereal plain white continued to practice his sword moves, slowly and calmly.

He was practicing the Chaotic Sword technique.

This was the sword technique he got from the mysterious painting from the Land of Fallen.

The more he practiced the sword technique, the more he realized how deadly and unpredictable it was.

This made him fall in love with the sword technique and practiced it diligently.

Since he couldn't break through to the Golden Core realm, he placed all his heart on cultivating the sword technique.

With the terrifying battle raging in the inner city and outer city.

The tense atmosphere had been going on for over 5 hours without any hint of stopping at all.

Panic and fear gripped those inside their houses. This had never happened since Baiyun became the city.

War between clans only took an hour or two before the city returned to its tranquility.

However, this time around, it had been going on forever.

Those on the Spirit Comms were communicating between, trying to find out the state of things in the city.

People began to clamor for the city lord to pacify the ongoing battle. Those who knew what was going on didn't even consider the city lord.

They were worried and scared for their lives.

In the Fu clan, the elders stood in the main hall with a solemn expression on their faces.

"Who can tell me what the hell is going on?" The patriarch asked.

All the elders inside the hall avoided his gaze, as they were as lost as him.

They were all in the dark, like everyone else. How could they know what was going on and why the battle was still going on?

Looking at the quiet elders, Patriarch Fu was furious and turned his gaze to Elder Manchu.

"You're in charge of this mission. Why are you keeping quiet? Tell us what the hell is going on." He snapped.

"P-Patriarch… I don't know. None of the men we deployed for the joint mission have responded to my message." Fu Manchu said with beads of sweat gathering on his forehead.

"So you are saying we don't have a way to know what the hell is keeping the battle still going on?"

"U-n Unfortunately….yes, clan master."
