Chapter 875: The Truth Between Her Father and the Xiong Clan [Di Xiuyu Is Being Tortured]

"By the way, how long have I been gone?" she asked. She had been in that space for almost twenty years.

"It has been twenty days already," Zhiyi said, placing her small hands in his.

"Twenty days, I see."

Not long after, Shenlian Yinzhu came out.

"Yue’er."

"Brother."

Both of them looked at each other. Without words, they understood each other’s hearts.

"You’ve learned divine power from Father too, haven’t you?" she asked with a smile.

"I am the same as you, Yue’er. We both received the same things." He stroked her hair with a doting smile. He didn’t mention the conversation he had with their father, and she didn’t ask, knowing that it wasn’t time for her to know yet.

"Guys, do you want to return to the small world or go out with me?" she asked, and they answered at the same time.

"We will return to the small world."

"Master, we don’t want to attract anyone’s attention with our large number of people."

She nodded, respecting their choice. Everyone disappeared, except for Shenlian Yinzhu and Xiong Zi Ying.

"Brother, how was your battle with Run Jue?" she asked.

"I’ve dealt with him," he answered effortlessly.

"I see. My brother is very powerful!" she exclaimed, praising him with a bright smile.

Shenlian Yinzhu laughed at her lovely reaction.

"Master, I have something to tell you." She had noticed that her master had been quiet since she mentioned her father. She knew what he was thinking.

Xiong Zi Ying’s eyes fell on her, his lips pressed into a straight line.

"I’ve asked my father about the incident from that year when the Xiong clan was destroyed. He was there, but he wasn’t there to kill you or harm your family." She didn’t allow him to react and spoke in one breath.

"Then who stabbed me? I saw clearly that it was him," Xiong Zi Ying said, his brows furrowed.

"Master, do you know about the Art of Illusion?" she asked calmly.

"I do. The Art of Illusion was created by illusionists. Illusionists refine their skills to create entire battlefields of illusion, trapping enemies in dreamlike realms where time and space bend to their will," he replied, still frowning.

By channeling their spiritual energy into the Illusion Forge, they could shape reality itself. To the untrained eye, it was mere illusion, but to a master cultivator, it was the ultimate tool of creation and deception.

"Then, do you know which clan specializes in the Art of Illusion?" she continued, her voice growing lighter.

"There are a lot of illusionists in the Ouyang clan," Xiong Zi Ying suddenly realized something. His pupils shrank fiercely. He understood.

"You mean the Ouyang clan is behind everything?"

"Master, you were deceived by them. My father was late. He wanted to rescue your clan, but he fell into the enemy’s trap. He went to the wrong location of the Xiong clan. The illusionists of the Ouyang clan altered the entire geographical area of the Xiong clan," she explained, frowning. There was more to this than she knew.

"What is your father’s relationship with my parents? Why did he rush over to save us?" After a long silence, Xiong Zi Ying’s murderous intent subsided a little. He was furious at being deceived by his enemies for so many years.

"My father said that your mother was a great doctor. She saved many lives, including his," she explained everything to him.

Both Xiong Zi Ying and Xiong Yi Chen were stunned. A soft light appeared in their eyes whenever someone mentioned how great their mother was.

"My father said you don’t have to believe everything he said. You can see the truth with your own eyes. The answer is always there. You can go to the Ouyang clan and investigate the incident from that year. We’ll go with you because their schemes ruined my father’s reputation and almost ruined my life," she said, her expression turning serious.

If her master hadn’t shown mercy, she would have been hurt by him, becoming nothing more than a tool for revenge. If that had happened, even if the misunderstanding was eventually resolved, she didn’t think she could ever forget the pain he had caused her.

She could forgive him, but she would never forget the pain. If that had happened, her relationship with him would have been forever severed by her.

"Xiao Yueyue, the master," Xiong Zi Ying seemed to see through her thoughts. His throat felt dry and sore. He blamed himself for not being wise enough to see through his enemies’ tricks and allowing them to deceive him for so many years. He had almost ruined his disciple’s innocent life.

Fortunately, before knowing the truth, he hadn’t done anything irreversible to her.

"Yue’er, we will clear our father’s name. I won’t allow those who plotted against him and tarnished his reputation to live peacefully while he suffered," Shenlian Yinzhu said coldly, his eyes flashing with murderous intent.

"Sure, Brother." Shenlian Yingyue’s eyes grew as cold as a winter’s day.

When Shenlian Yingyue wasn’t looking, Shenlian Yinzhu shifted his gaze to Xiong Zi Ying, who was holding back his murderous intent toward his enemies.

Xiong Zi Ying lifted his eyes and met Shenlian Yinzhu’s gaze. He understood. Silently and resolutely, he said, "I hurt Xiao Yueyue before. I will let her punish me however she wants. After I handle my affairs, I will spend my whole life atoning for my sins."

Only then did Shenlian Yinzhu stop staring at Xiong Zi Ying.

------------------

Both of them had returned to the small world. When she returned to the dungeon hallways, she saw Run Jue, Demon King Shi, Yao, and the cloaked demon.

Her expression turned weird. What were these men doing here? Had they come to capture her for Run Chu?

"Sister, come with us. My sister wants to see you," Run Jue said with a smile. His gesture was friendly and lacked any ill intent, but how could she trust him?

Furthermore, why did Run Jue keep looking around? Who was he trying to find?

"Are you here to capture me? Does she really need to send so many demons?" she asked expressionlessly. She had no intention of going to see Run Chu.

"If you don’t go, you’ll miss the fun. Di Xiuyu has been tortured by my sister for many days," Run Jue said casually. He didn’t even bother calling her Sister Xiuyu anymore, as if he was utterly disgusted by her despicable methods of harming his sister.

Shenlian Yingyue’s scalp was numb. Why was Run Jue looking at her with such a strange gaze?

Of course, she would never have guessed that this teenager’s favor for her had slightly increased after speaking with Shenlian Yinzhu.

He and Shenlian Yinzhu were the same, both had fallen in love with their own sisters. So, subconsciously, Run Jue compared her to his own sister.

Shenlian Yingyue didn’t want to know what had happened between them, nor did she want to get involved with them, "I don’t like fun. I have things to do," she refused.

But she forgot one thing, her refusals had never been accepted or worked.

Unless she could defeat two Demon Kings and two Upper Rank Demons to escape, which was impossible at the moment, she had no choice. In the end, she was ’invited’ to see the ’fun.’

Her eyelids twitched as she saw the bloody figure on the ground, pinched between Run Chu’s fingers.

Run Chu’s nails pierced Di Xiuyu’s cheeks, making her bleed. She looked like a fragile flower, being crushed and forced to accept punishment unwillingly.

Yet, instead of fear, Di Xiuyu glared at Run Chu with provocation, adding fuel to the fire, making Run Chu’s expression twist in anger.

Shenlian Yingyue, "..."

The life of a heroine was truly filled with suffering, no matter which story it was, wasn’t it?
