Chapter 500 -500: Furnace (5)_1

“You guys go out first.”

Brought into the campus’s go-to storage room for bullying, Fu Qian stepped in just as Daniel also entered the room, the last one to do so.

And in the next moment, he coldly said to the other two.

“Even me?”

Brother Ball-Throwing seemed somewhat reluctant, apparently not liking the feeling of being excluded.

“Yes, both of you, out. I have something to discuss with our honors student here.”

Daniel, however, was quite insistent.

“Close the door and watch from afar. Don’t let anyone come in.”

It was visible that he had some authority normally, and after some inner struggle, Brother Ball-Throwing shook his fist at Fu Qian and sneered.

“Good luck to you.”

After saying that, he called over the other guy, and the two left the storage room, closing the door behind them.

Are you that confident?

Fu Qian, who had been observing the whole process, couldn’t help but remark on Daniel’s confidence.

But indeed, compared to Daniel’s athletic build, he was rather slight.

Not to mention that Daniel, while eyeing him, picked up a garish yellow baseball bat from the pile of miscellaneous items.

The unblemished appearance of the bat stood in stark contrast to the dusty storage room.

Looks like it’s used quite often.

“From now on, I ask one question, and you answer one.”

Daniel rhythmically tapped the floor with the baseball bat in his hand, his voice full of threatening intent.

“Just a heads-up, I’m in a very bad mood right now, and if you hesitate for even a second later, the consequences might be more than you can handle.”

Understandable.

Fu Qian nodded knowingly.

Anyone would probably be in a bad mood if they were interrupted at such a crucial moment.

“So what do you want to know?”

Fu Qian gestured for him to ask away.

“You just now… Why were you in Medea’s office?”

Daniel was a bit taken aback by Fu Qian’s cooperation.

In his experience, this type of coward, though weak, had a strong sense of pride and would typically put up a fake show of toughness before admitting defeat.

Crushing that kind of toughness was always one of his pleasures.

Unfortunately, Fu Qian didn’t give him that opportunity.

And after collecting his thoughts, he did not naively hope that Fu Qian hadn’t seen anything. He went straight to the point.

“Funny, Medea just asked me the same thing.”

Fu Qian put on a thoughtful, reminiscent look.

“Too bad, I’m not really sure either. I just got a little confused, and when I opened my eyes, I was inside.”

“Of course, rest assured, it definitely wasn’t related to whatever you guys were up to.”

“You think I’d believe your crap.”

Daniel gripped the bat tighter, clearly not getting the answer he wanted.

“Medea’s office is always locked.”

“There’s no other possibility except she let you in and then locked the door.”

“What exactly did you concoct with her? Are you trying to catch something on me to blackmail me with? I knew you couldn’t trust that woman.”

By the end, he was almost roaring these words.

“You and that woman are thinking too much.”

“My family does not fear threats!”

It seemed that Medea’s lecherous intent ended up misplaced after all!

Listening to his threats, Fu Qian sighed deeply.

Lustful Bodhisattva paired with a young man driven by his urges, neither of their shenanigans held any interest for him.

And the idea of a setup? Fu Qian didn’t think Medea would be willing to spoil her fun over something like that.

But it was clear that, after coming out of his hormone-driven state, Daniel’s thoughts had hit a dead end, and he couldn’t wait to get confirmation from Fu Qian.

This wasn’t good news. If he continued to be trapped here, it likely meant the second mission would be affected too.

“If you don’t believe my answer, why bother asking.”

When confidence is too low, explanation is undoubtedly a boring act, and Fu Qian glanced at the spot he had come from.

“Can I go now?”

Hehe.

Daniel stared at him for a long while, suddenly revealing a cold smile.

“You forced me into this.”

“What?”

Just when Fu Qian thought the man was about to get physical, Daniel unexpectedly walked over to a corner of the storage room and opened a concealed wooden door.

Dust instantly puffed down, revealing a dark space behind it.

“Get in.”

The man pointed at Fu Qian with a baseball bat.

“I haven’t locked anyone up in a long time.”

“I hope after you’ve cooled down, you can still maintain the attitude you had just now.”

Lock, are you sure?

Fu Qian looked at the shabby wooden door in the man’s hand.

It was on the verge of collapsing, and it didn’t even have a lock.

Could such a thing really lock in a person? Yet the man’s attitude was so confident.

Fu Qian rubbed his temples, as if thinking of something.

“From this moment on, the luckiest thing that could happen to you is someone passing by and letting you out.”

As he spoke, Daniel forced Fu Qian to walk forward.

“Unfortunately, with no one reported missing, the school has long stopped patrolling this area, and I will have someone forge a sick note for you, telling the school you need to rest at home due to illness.”

“So, you’re going to be here for a very, very long time.”

“Every attempt you make in the meantime will be met with only one response, ‘Must be opened from the other side.'”

As expected!

After saying this, Fu Qian quietly nodded to himself.

This door undoubtedly had similar properties to the drawer in Medea’s office.

Even without a lock, once closed it could only be opened from this side.

Such a place would indeed be an excellent choice for confinement in a dark room.

It’s truly eerie, how everything seems so vivid and lifelike, yet the occasional glimpse of a corner makes one doubt the reality of this world.

The strong definitions of cause and effect all over the place, it feels as though this world is built on a foundation of illusory concepts.

“During this period, I’ll take good care of that bitch Medea, daring to set her sights on me.”

Wearing a vicious smile, Daniel motioned with the bat for Fu Qian to step inside.

Unfortunately, the next moment Fu Qian deftly dodged his weapon and lunged forward, landing a punch right on the man’s chin.

Daniel only got out half a groan before collapsing to the ground.

What a joke, I’ve been through countless battles and am soaked in blood. Even if I’m at a disadvantage in strength, my punching technique is certainly no match for someone who only knows how to swing a bat.

And of course, I can’t end up in that kind of dark room myself, or else I’d likely go crazy locked up in there.

“You son of a—”

Daniel, lying on the ground and still trying to stand up, shook uncontrollably.

That punch had made him bite his tongue, rendering his speech unclear.

Of course, the next moment he had a baseball bat stuffed in his mouth, making his words even less intelligible.

“Next, I ask one question and you answer one.”

Fu Qian repeated the words the man had just spoken, about to say something when he suddenly stopped.

A strange noise was followed by something tumbling out of the dark room, falling in front of both men.

A corpse?

Fu Qian looked at the tangled mass of hair before him.

There had been a body in the black room all along, just behind the door?

Daniel indeed had knocked into the wooden door when he fell.

Fu Qian’s brows furrowed, looking at Daniel who was equally shocked.

The next moment he snorted coldly and nodded.

“Seeing that you’ve found it, there’s nothing I can do now!”
