Chapter 435: The Ghost of the Past (2)

Chapter 435: The Ghost of the Past (2)

"Shocking, right?"

Looking at his expression, Morana certainly enjoyed it. She loves scenarios like this where the past of the protagonist of a story suddenly comes to haunt them from out of nowhere, and now, she's witnessing a similar scenario unfolding before her, and this time, it's real.

"Shut up"

Randy looked up and glared at her, before returning his attention back to the paper on his hand and looking at the captured photo of a certain someone.

"This bastard, does he think I'm a soft persimmon after I've granted him mercy before?"

"What? You wanted to kill him before?"

Hearing his words, Morana was certainly taken aback as she wasn't expecting to hear those words from Randy.

"What? Just because we're blood related, I wouldn't dare kill him? You don't know what that bastard did to me. I spared him once because of my sister, and he still had the guts to find trouble with me after all these years?" Randy sneered.

"He must have f*cked up, for you to not even hesitate on thinking of killing him" Morana said with a shrug.

"So what's the plan? I don't even need to guess how much you want to kill him right now"

"Hmmp! Enough talk, show me the big guns. Sh*t, I wasn't planning to purchase anything, but the appearance of that bastard is forcing me" Infuriated, Randy was grinding his teeth while clenching his fists.

Morana just glanced at him, and with a shrug, she started making her way over to the back where there were several rack cabinets with military grade weapons on display.

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!

Standing before one of the racks, Morana slowly inputted the password, which was followed by the rack cabinet opening up with a click!

She grabbed a black weapon with a long barrel and an almost a foot long scope before she turned around and started walking back towards Randy with the weapon in hand.

While thinking of ways to deal with the problem that suddenly appeared out of nowhere, Randy was quick to notice the weapon on Morana's hand, a weapon he doesn't recognize.

"A sniper rifle? Is it new? Cause I don't recognize it"

Morana smiled and placed the weapon down on a long table before saying, " This sniper rifle here is called SVLK-14S, developed by the Federation of the City States. It can hit a target from three kilometers away, a distance twice that of L115A3 that's used by the soldiers of the Kingdom of Angles"

"It's a bolt action rifle that weighs a total of ten kilograms, and fires a.408 CheyTac cartridges, which exit the barrel at over nine hundred meters per second. A speed that's almost three times faster than the speed of sound. Its cartridges can pierce a metal rail three cm thick. Imagine what would happen if such a projectile hit the enemy? No body armor would help. It was originally designed to have a bullet manually loaded into it, but our gunsmith of course didn't like the idea and modified it to have a magazine instead. This weapon was just supposed to be a luxury toy meant for sports, but in the hands of a dangerous person such as you, it becomes a deadly weapon. Are you interested in purchasing this bad boy?"

Morana provided a very long description of the weapon, but all Randy heard was that it was a weapon that could fire from over three kilometers, and like a beautiful woman, he just fell in love with it.

Keen to get his hands on it, Randy immediately said, "How much is it?"

"This much" Morana said while showing him seven of her fingers.

"Well, it will only cost you two gold coins if you hand over your Damas-"

"No, I'll just pay that seven gold coins"

Randy immediately cut her off when he heard the purpose of giving him a discount.

"But why? You don't even use those daggers anymore. I'm pretty sure they're just stuck inside a box in one corner, waiting for the day that they'd be of use again!"

Feeling annoyed, Morana couldn't help but raise her voice, especially when she imagined those precious damascus daggers stored away.

Looking at her reaction, Randy couldn't help but think, 'I wonder what her reaction would be if she finds out Riley is using them for her gardening?'

"Just give me the gun. Besides, it's not like weapons made of Damascus are rare, and you're not even short on money"

"Tsk!"

Both of them stared at each other for a few seconds, and not long after, Morana just clicked her tongue in annoyance before she turned around and grabbed a long black case before placing the rifle inside.

"The password is today's date and year, along with a box of ammunition, free. Are you really not gonna sell it?"

"Thanks"

And seeing that she keeps on insisting on wanting to purchase his daggers, Randy thought of something and so he said, "Someone must have commissioned you to get your hands on them, right?"

Morana smiled slyly and replied, "Well, yeah. So, do you want to sell it?"

"Who wants it and how much is that person offering?"

Morana raised three fingers, which made Randy frown as he said, "Only three hundred thousand? My Damascus daggers are the only dagger type weapon made by that person, and he wants it for only three hundred grand? He must be crazy"

"Not 300 thousand, but 300 million"

Hearing the price, Randy was immediately interested as there's barely two hundred million remaining left in his savings, out of his half billion before he retired from the scene.

"That much? I only paid fifty million for it and now they want to buy it six times its original price? Why? Is there something on it that they're willing to pay that much? Is there something hidden on the dagger like a clue to a hidden treasure or something? Because that would interesting that the organization would turn a blind eye to it"

And Morana just burst out laughing when she heard his suspicions while Randy just watched her laugh it off with a not so amused expression on his face.

"Hahaha! Treasure? It's just a collector. You know, someone who likes collecting treasures. That person had already collected all of that person's works except for the one in your hand"

Randy immediately raised an eyebrow, then he picked up the black case, turned around and said, "I'll only sell it if that person offers to buy it for a half a billion, see ya!"

He then did that cool bye gesture a protagonist does in the movies after doing something awesome.

As she watched leave Randy through the door, Morana snorted and muttered, "Tsk, how greedy"

Then she dialed a number on the phone, and when the call went through, she immediately said, "He wants it, but for half a billion"

[Okay]

"Damn, you're really crazy"

Meanwhile, Randy and Cathy had just walked out of the door when the curious kitten finally couldn't help but want to satisfy her curiosity and quickly asked, "What's that on your hand?"

"A tool for men" Randy replied as he put the case on the back seat.

"What kind of tool? Gardening, carpentry? Because it certainly looks expensive with that case" Cathy said as she sat down on the passenger seat.

Randy didn't bother to reply and just continued driving, and Cathy just snorted from getting ignored.

In the distance, a pair of legs could be seen watching them drive away.

"Viper, so you were here in this city all along"

Uttered a woman's voice.
