Chapter 28 --Entering the Fifth Layer, The Massive Fish Monster

Chapter 28: Chapter28-Entering the Fifth Layer, The Massive Fish Monster

Yet, on Harrison's end, the Ice Prison Judgement was nearing its culmination.

As the final elongated syllable escaped his lips, azure snow flowers began descending from the sky.

Radiating from Harrison as its epicenter, a frigid wave spread throughout the entire fourth layer of the Enchanted Realm.

The snow elves, upon making contact with the ethereal azure snow flowers, found themselves instantly encased in ice.

One after another, the snow elves met their chilling demise.

Simultaneously, Harrison's form shimmered with a golden radiance, as a torrent of experience flowed into him.

After the demise of every snow elf, Harrison's level surged, reaching 30 with a progression of 173%.

It was evident: the experience from tens of thousands of silver rank creatures had largely been absorbed by Harrison.

Once he steps out, he would be eligible to undertake the class change quest.

Only after this advancement would he be able to continue leveling up.

At this moment, there was no sign of the Ice Prison Judgement waning.

The snow flowers intensified, growing larger as they continued to descend, blanketing the entirety of the fourth layer of the Enchanted Realm.

Only after the snow reached a depth of a meter did it gradually cease.

With a thunderous crash, countless icy tendrils erupted from the ground, wreaking havoc and annihilating everything in their path.

CloudSea was torn asunder in mere moments.

Yet, this was only the beginning of the second phase of the Ice Prison Judgement.

These massive tendrils, towering up to a hundred meters, ensured that nothing could survive beneath their mountainous might.

Their relentless assault showed no signs of abating, sending shivers down the spines of Icethorn and the others.

A single misdirected tendril could spell an unmitigated disaster.

At this moment, Emma clung to Harrison's arm, her eyes filled with trepidation. "Harrison, these tendrils... they won't strike us, will they?"

Harrison shook his head, his voice calm. "No, within a radius of a hundred meters centered on me, it's an absolute sanctuary."

Hearing Harrison's assurance, a palpable relief washed over the group.

But the next words out of Harrison's mouth sent the group's hearts right back into their throats.

"This is merely the second phase. My skill encompasses three stages. By the third, this entire layer will be transformed into a frozen hell. It's best if we swiftly locate the portal and escape to the fifth layer."

"While I may survive, it's uncertain for all of you. Exiting the Enchanted Realm now would render all our efforts for naught."

Hearing Harrison's stern warning, Icethorn gravely nodded in agreement. "Typically, the portal manifests at the heart of the Enchanted Realm, which in this case, is CloudSea."

Upon Icethorn's revelation, the group instinctively cast their gazes toward where CloudSea once stood.

Now, in its place, an immense icy tendril swung wildly, obliterating everything in its path. Countless stones shattered.

The scene was reminiscent of an apocalypse.

While the tendril wouldn't target them directly, the aftershocks of its destruction were still profoundly unbearable.

Harrison took a deep breath. "It seems the portal is right there."

"Stay close to me!"

Swiftly, Harrison returned the Ice God Grimoire to Icethorn and took the lead.

The snow flowers, upon coming within a hundred meters of Harrison, would melt away as if they had never existed.

Clearing a path, Harrison led the group closer and closer to the ruins of CloudSea, and perilously near the sweeping icy tendril.

As they reached the edge of its strike zone, they caught sight of the portal.

Icethorn then turned to Emma and the others, "Now, sprint toward that portal with everything you've got. If any of us are caught in the aftershock of the tendril's strike, I'll immediately teleport us out of the Enchanted Realm."

"Understood!"

With that, Harrison took the lead, charging straight for the portal.

Wherever he went, the tendril redirected its assault elsewhere. Debris rolled continuously around them.

Yet, relying on agility far surpassing that of an average person, they navigated the chaos and reached the portal's location without harm.

"Get in!"

One by one, they rushed through.

The moment the portal closed behind them, the wreckage of a structure plummeted from above, crashing into the very spot they had just vacated.

With Harrison's departure, the Ice Prison Judgement on the fourth level spiraled completely out of control.

An endless blizzard swept through, leaving the entire Enchanted Realm blanketed in a stark white.

Within the tendrils, shadowy demonic figures began to gestate.

The very rules of the realm seemed to shift subtly.

Perhaps, the next time anyone ventures into the Enchanted Realm, they won't be greeted by snow elves but by demons from an icy hell.

Meanwhile, Harrison and his party finally made their way into the fifth layer.

The moment they stepped into it, they felt as if passing through a delicate veil.

The surrounding air turned cold and damp, and they found themselves enveloped in water.

Floundering in the pitch-black waters, they desperately tried to surface.

Icethorn swiftly unleashed a potent cold stream.

Like frost in winter, wherever this cold stream touched the water, it rapidly solidified into a solid sheet of ice.

Seizing this timely opportunity, everyone quickly scrambled onto the ice, catching their breaths.

Looking around, the shimmering of the lake appeared as though gently caressed by the moonlight, crystal clear and seemingly boundless.

To Icethorn's knowledge, this vast and enigmatic lake was a territory he had never ventured into before.

Standing on the ice, Harrison gazed into the distance.

He noticed the sparse vegetation on the shore, and faint tracks on the grass, suggesting the passage of some creature.

The scale of the lake seemed to surpass their imaginations, with hundreds of thousands of square meters being just a rough estimate.

Each member of the team was on high alert, scrutinizing their surroundings.

In such an unfamiliar environment, danger could emerge at any moment.

The depths of the lake likely concealed countless traps and mechanisms.

Without hesitation, Icethorn retrieved the Ice God Grimoire.

With his incantation, the grimoire emitted a potent chill, resonating with the cold stream he had earlier released, freezing the entire lake.

What was once a shimmering surface now resembled a vast mirror, reflecting the clear images of everyone present.

However, all understood that this tranquility was fleeting.

Suddenly, muffled sounds echoed from the lakebed, as if a massive entity was pounding against the ice.

Cracks began to form on the icy surface.

Harrison urgently shouted, "Quick, head for the shore!"

Like the wind, everyone dashed towards the edge.

With a thunderous roar, a colossal fish head broke through the icy surface, looming like a small hill.

Its body remained buried beneath the ice, seemingly entrapped.

The fish gasped, clearly distressed from its prolonged submersion.

Without delay, Harrison inspected the attributes of this massive fish:
