Chapter 564: Ezra’s Arrival

Not many knew that above the red zone, two powerful eighth-level Beast Masters were facing off against each other, about to fight for Charles' sake.

As eight hexagram arrays appeared around Vincent's body, a cold, chilling aura emerged from deep within him.

It was the intent to kill!

Unconcealed, the murderous intent of an absolute powerhouse!

Vincent quickly turned around and saw, not far in the sky, a figure shrouded in a mysterious black robe, surrounded by thick darkness. The mysterious figure's eyes were chillingly cold and merciless, as if looking down on him like an ant by the roadside.

Vincent stopped summoning his mystical beast. He swallowed frantically, realizing that if he continued to summon his mystical beast and obstruct Nathaniel, he would die. There was no doubt about it—he would die!

Carefully, Vincent asked, "Who are you? This is a matter between Kingston and Genosha. Please, do not intervene..."

Before he could finish his words, the figure, which had been just a short distance away, disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Vincent didn't have time to react. It felt as if everything around him had been frozen in place. He could sense danger approaching, but he couldn't move a muscle to defend or evade.

It wasn't that he was too slow, it was that the opponent's speed was so fast that his brain couldn't give his body any commands in time!

Boom!

An invisible shockwave suddenly appeared in the air, and a massive circular ripple scattered all the surrounding clouds!

Vincent's body, like a meteor, quickly plummeted from the sky toward the ground.

Crash!

The sound of earth-shattering destruction echoed, as if a meteor had truly fallen, creating a massive crater on the ground.

Vincent lay motionless in the deep pit, blood pouring from his mouth. His body was broken in every possible way. If not for the strong vitality of an eighth-level Beast Master, and the fact that the mysterious figure hadn't come specifically to kill him, he would have been dead already!

Lying in the five or six-meter-deep pit, Vincent stared blankly at the sky. The mysterious figure was slowly retracting the foot that had just kicked him, gazing down at him with a look of indifference and disdain.

It was a ninth-level Beast Master!

Absolutely a ninth-level Beast Master!

Vincent gasped for air, feeling his ribs pierce through his internal organs. Every breath was excruciatingly painful.

The pain cleared his mind. A ninth-level Beast Master—there were few such individuals in the entire Abyssal Depths. The only person who could have shown up at this moment and taken direct action against him was Ezra from Genosha.

He hadn't expected Ezra to show up, and when he did, he was so domineering. Vincent hadn't even spoken yet, and he'd already been kicked!

The gap between Beast Masters increases with their levels. For a ninth-level Beast Master to kill an eighth-level Beast Master, it is as simple as kicking a crippled stray dog to death by the side of the road.

Vincent struggled to move his arm, trying to get up, but at that moment, a voice slowly came from the sky:

"If you dare get up, I will make sure you stay lying here forever."

Ezra's voice was exceptionally calm, devoid of any emotional fluctuation. It was simply a statement of fact, or what was about to happen.

Did the people from Kingston really think he had no temper?

Forget about everything else, but how dare they think of killing Charles?

Charles was his disciple—his most perfect disciple, the irreplaceable one. If the people from Kingston killed him, Ezra would have to follow in the footsteps of the ninth-level Beast Master who had destroyed a country long ago.

In any case, he didn't have many ties left. Even if the Beast Master Guild punished him, so what?

For a ninth-level Beast Master who committed a grave mistake, the highest punishment would be to be exiled from the Abyssal Great Wall—and he wasn't afraid of that.

After saying those words, Ezra watched as the Kingston eighth-level Beast Master, who had just tried to struggle to rise, immediately lay flat on the ground, unmoving, as if dead.

At least he was smart enough to know that survival was the most important thing.

Once he had dealt with the Kingston eighth-level Beast Master, Ezra moved directly in front of Nathaniel. Ignoring the excitement and surprise on Nathaniel's face, he coldly spoke:

"What would you have done if I hadn't shown up?"

Nathaniel froze for a moment. From Ezra's words, he sensed an undercurrent of displeasure.

He wasn't stupid. He immediately realized that Ezra was upset because, in his calculations, he hadn't considered the possibility that Celestial City would lean toward Kingston, which had placed Charles in danger.

Nathaniel took a deep breath and seriously voiced his thoughts:

"I would have done anything to save Charles."

Ezra remained expressionless, only repeating, "Anything?"

Without hesitation, Nathaniel answered again, "Anything!"

It was only then that Ezra's mood improved slightly.

He believed that even if Charles were to face the Bloodthirsty Antelope, he would survive, but he could not ignore what had happened, especially at this time when he was about to leave the Abyssal Depths and head to the Abyssal Great Wall.

He had to do something, to properly warn the others that Charles wasn't someone who could be provoked so easily.

With this thought in mind, Ezra turned to Nathaniel and said, "Alright, you stay here. You probably won't need to act. Charles should be able to handle the problems he's about to face on his own."

Nathaniel looked at Ezra in surprise, clearly thinking that Charles might not be able to deal with the frenzied Bloodthirsty Antelope.

Ezra didn't offer any further explanation. He trusted Charles.

Once everything was arranged, Ezra turned to leave, but Nathaniel immediately asked, "Is there something else?"

Ezra's figure disappeared instantly, leaving only a parting comment: "I'm going to visit the Celestial City palace, and then swing by the Kingston palace."

Nathaniel stood frozen in place. A ninth-level Beast Master casually mentioning that they were going to visit both the Celestial City palace and the Kingston palace... it was likely that tonight, the emperors of both Celestial City and Kingston would be kept awake in fear.

The difference between an eighth-level Beast Master and a ninth-level Beast Master might only be one rank, but their strength was like the difference between heaven and earth!

Vincent, also an eighth-level Beast Master, had been kicked to the ground and severely wounded by Ezra with a single strike. This was the power of a ninth-level Beast Master, let alone one with a divine beast!

Only then did Nathaniel finally relax. He turned toward the direction of the central canyon area and slowly flew off.

...

In Celestial City's official live broadcast room, Flint, who had stepped out of the camera's view, was anxiously pacing back and forth. He had seen the entire exchange between Nathaniel and Vincent through the unbroadcasted footage.

The identity of that mysterious figure was obvious without needing to be said—there was no one else but Charles' mentor, the ninth-level Beast Master Ezra!

What made Flint even more uneasy was that Ezra's departure seemed to be headed in the direction of the Celestial City palace!

Flint muttered to himself, "Could that guy be planning to take revenge for Charles? The problem is, it's just a plan... nothing has even happened yet!"

"Damn it! Usually, ninth-level Beast Masters don't get involved in such things, do they?"

Flint kept adjusting his breathing. No matter what, he was Celestial City's war god, and his allegiance was naturally to Celestial City.

Less than half an hour later, new information came in from the Celestial City palace.

Flint looked at the message on his communication device, his eyes widening in shock.

Ezra went to the palace and, in front of countless Celestial City officials, beat the Celestial City emperor senseless. Yes, he physically beat him senseless!

And the force was just right—enough that the emperor would need about a week of bed rest to recover, but there would be no lasting or difficult-to-heal injuries.

The key point was that this was utterly absurd! A nation's emperor had been beaten up by someone!

A ninth-level Beast Master truly was a carefree powerhouse.

Flint let out a slow breath. He thought back to the country that had been destroyed by a ninth-level Beast Master. Compared to that, this outcome seemed relatively mild.

At the same time, he received news that after leaving the palace, Ezra had flown in the direction of Kingston!

This was the confidence that came with overwhelming strength. Of course, such news wouldn't be shared with the public, but it would be hard to hide from the other countries in the Abyssal Depths. From now on, any country dealing with matters involving Charles would need to think twice.

...

Near the central canyon area in the red zone, Charles, Luna, Finn, Zachary, and Luma had once again hunted down a fairly strong ferocious beast, collecting a purple-quality Blood-red Jade.

Their efficiency was high; usually, a few of the others would attract the ferocious beast's attention, while Charles would use the Chasing the Moon Bow to kill it.

The explosive power of the multiple elemental energies in the arrow was not something an ordinary ferocious beast could withstand. Very few beasts could survive Charles' arrow without dying.

However, in order to collect a complete Blood-red Jade, Charles intentionally reduced the various elemental energies infused into the arrow, controlling its power just enough to kill the ferocious beast without damaging the Blood-red Jade inside.

While hunting ferocious beasts, Charles also kept an eye on the surrounding area. He still hadn't seen any traces left by the remaining four talented Beast Masters from Kingston.

Even the carcasses of ferocious beasts were ones they had killed.
