Chapter 73 Different Perspective
[Penny's pov]
It feels like a miracle whenever I see my daughter. Recently, she has been looking happy and smiling spontaneously, which I have seen her do. We had our differences back, which I am partly to blame but seeing her normal self has been a huge motivation for me. Before, we didn't talk much and had a pretty weak companionship, but opening up about it has helped me understand her better.
I always thought I was doing my best for my daughter, but I was so wrong that she was almost at her breaking point. It pains me to remember the past, but I don't know what I would do with that guilt if I had lost her.
Everything changed after a noble soul intervened a few months ago. I still think I am dreaming, but without his help, Adele and our family would still be hopeless. I don't know why he helped us, nor do I care, but I feel him coming into our lives as divine intervention. There is no other way to explain this; he did a lot for my daughter and gave me hope to look forward to the future.
I always wanted to thank him, but we have only met once. Adele mentions him all the time, which sometimes makes me worried. A mother could see through her daughter, and I could clearly feel something brewing under the surface, but It was hard to dissuade her now. She has to learn about life and society.
I have heard about the family he is from; only a few people have not heard of the name 'Rothschild'. Many believe that they are untouchable and hold immense wealth. Sometimes, I wonder if it is a good decision to associate with people of such stature.
There is no comparison between our families, though I would admit Samuel doesn't feel like a bad person; I have only met him once. I worry that my daughter would get sucked into something which would consume her.
She is a good kid, and I want what is best for her. Recently, she also made a new friend who seems to come from a similar background as Samuel. They go along well, and I don't feel any hostility between them.
Adele's friend is a few years older than her with a classy look, which looks like a real princess, but I have never seen any envy in my daughter's eyes which shows me that she has become a mature person. Accepting one's situation and acting upon it to improve ourself is always the right head space to be in.

I heard the doorbell, which surprised me, we don't have many visitors, and with Adele upstairs in her room with Iblis, I became curious about our visitor. I walked up the hall to see Karoline, Iblis' bodyguard, chatting with my mother. They looked undisturbed by the doorbell, so it was definitely not someone related to Iblis. 𝘧r𝘦𝗲w𝘦𝚋𝐧o𝘷𝘦𝙡.co𝑚
I walked up to the door and opened it to find Oscar, whom I had a few times in the past, and a young man. I recognized him immediately but was shocked to see him there, which made me stare without saying anything.
" Good evening, It is good to see you again, Aunt Penny. Do you remember me ? We met few months ago. " He greeted and asked politely.
" Yes, yes, Young master Samuel and Mr. Oscar, how can I forget? Thank you for all the help you provided us." I woke up from my delusion and replied.
" Please, Just call me Samuel or Sami, and I am sure Oscar feels the same way." Samuel replied.
Oscar also nodded, giving affirmation; I invited the two of them inside and introduced my mother.
" This is my Mother, Ruth. Mother, this is Adele friend that I told you about, Samuel. Sitting next to my mother is Karoline, she is accompaniying Iblis, Adele friend. " I said.
" It is good to finally met you grandma Ruth, Adele mentions you a lot in our converstation." He said.
" Good to see you again, Miss Karoline." He said, which determined that they were acquaintances. Karoline nodded and stared at Oscar; they came to a mutual understanding without any words. They sat face to face without breaking eye contact.
I was a little relieved to find that his demeanour had not changed over the months.
" Well, well, Adele is always talking about you; come sit beside me and let me look at you more clearly. I am old, which makes my vision hazy. " Mother said, beckoning Samuel to come closer.
Samuel obliged, and they began to chat freely; mother was never the one to hold herself back and didn't really care about formalities. She is still the same and talks like they have known each other for some time. They instantly clicked, which is weird because my mother rarely got along with strangers she met for the first time.
Karoline and Oscar were talking in short sentences, but you could feel the intense atmosphere around them; they staring at each other. I didn't understand anything and left them to their own devices. I have to inform Adele in the meanwhile; she must not have noticed Samuel's arrival.
I walked up to her room and knocked to let my presence know.
" Adele, you have a guest. He is waiting downstairs." I informed her about Samuel.
" Who? I am busy with Iblis, we are planning and writing a new song together." She asked.
" Samuel and Mr. Oscar. They are downstairs talking with grandma." I said.
There were some rustling noises, and suddenly, the door flung open, and Adele came out looking distressed. She had messy hair with her home clothes while Iblis peeked from her side, looking curious.
" What? Samuel is here? Why? " She asked.
" I don't know, I didn't ask, but he must be here to see you," I said, looking at her messy look, which she also noticed.
She closed the door and got busy while talking with Iblis.
"I guess they all know each other. Iblis didn't look surprised. " I thought and went downstairs toward the kitchen to look for some appropriate snacks. I am happy to see my daughter having friends for the first time.
She finally looked like a normal kid for a change, much with the help of her friend. I hope she will enjoy her childhood more like other girls.
