Chapter 35: Thrilling Breakout (1)
Warehouse No. 2… Inside the German base.
Nearly hundred German soldiers armed with excellent German rifles surrounded the front of the warehouse with solemn faces whilst attracting the attention of other patrol teams.
“I can’t get in touch with Chief Leo. I repeat, I cannot get in touch with Officer Leo.”
“Sir, should we enter the warehouse using force?”
“Of course! There’s only one person on the other side. There’s no need to be afraid of him in our own territory. However, be careful, the warehouse is filled with highly flammable ammunition. Do not fire! Take the lead and suppress the enemy using bayonets.”
The officer in charge of the patrol teams said as he waved his hands and ordered the two soldiers in front of the warehouse to open the door.
The soldiers warily pushed the door open. It was pitch-black inside. The patrol teams entered swiftly with their guns, the lights from the helmet lighting up areas left and right.
Tap… Tap… Tap…
On hearing the heavy footsteps echo through the ground above him, Kyle realized that the enemy soldiers had broken into the warehouse and hurried to extract the last energy card from the box.
All twenty-five cubes of energy, that is, all twenty-five blue cards were in his possession.
“Now, for the breaking in part.” Kyle took his time as he glanced at the enemy commander who was reduced to just a pile of meat and bones and converted to a dog with its tongue sticking out the side its mouth, back into a card.
It wasn’t needed anymore.
Generally, biological cards could be recycled except for unique biological cards such as the highly toxic hornet honeycombs. This ability enhanced the value of biological cards by a ton!
“I wonder what a biological card above green will look like… Would it be possible to summon an alien creature like King Kong or Godzilla?”
Such an absurd idea merely flashed through his mind as he left the basement to destroy the enemy’s defense. However, he didn’t realize that it would turn into reality in the future.
At the same time, the German soldiers were done searching through the ground floor of the warehouse and started moving towards the basement entrance.
“Throw the smoke bomb.”
One soldier clenched the smoke bomb in his hand, and the other grasped the handle of the basement door.
Just as they opened the door and tried to throw a smoke bomb into it, a cloud of black fog rushed out of the basement, causing the bomb to fall right outside the basement instead.
“W-What the hell is this?”
One of the soldiers coughed as he shone his lamp at the black fog. As soon as the patrol team realized the true nature of the black fog, their scalp went numb, and their face turned pale in horror.
It was not a black fog! It was a swarm of hundreds of dark brown wasps, each half the size of a marble!
“Hornets! They’re venomous!”
“Oh my God! GO! GO! Get out of here!”
