Chapter 15: Not all of them disappeared (2)
Not all of them disappeared (2)
Magic and mana gathering was nothing against the fairies.
Crafting and metallurgy were trash against the dwarves.
Combat and hunting could not match the orcs.
Power and wisdom were meaningless against the giants.
Humans were just one of many sentient races that existed in the world.
Fairies despised human savagery, and dwarves laughed at our cities.
Orcs hunted humans, and giants wiped down entire villages easily.
It was a time where the most important thing was to survive. It was a time where humans were used to being robbed or killed.
It was a time that humans were treated no better than livestock.
Then, some heroes united the scattered human beings and led them into a long war, which ended with the humans being the dominant species on the planet.
People called them the Five Predecessors.
One of them ended the long, evil history of the Giant King, Eda.
[The Sword of Cheol-hyeol] Agnes Bavaria.
The battlefield where she was in came to my mind. She trampled hundreds of the giants, rushing towards them, and destroying their castle.
She was a warrior that no adversary could equal and a great commander. She started with no one believing her, but by the end of the war, all surviving knights were under her Cheol-hyeol Sword.
She and her knights were so powerful, enough to scare even the other predecessors.
A king was born from the Bavaria family.
The Bavaria family is a legendary family.
It’s hard to believe the maid in front of me is her descendant.
“Ha…”
It was so outrageous that I had a headache. What’s more, she doesn’t have any idea how great her ancestors were.
The headache was so intense that I had to sleep, and I slept through the rest of the trip.
The wagon stopped.
Stomp.
Someone knocked on the carriage. Adelia Bavaria asked me for patience and opened the window.
“Your Highness, you have arrived at your destination,” Carls said from out of the window.
For a moment, I wondered if it would be better to go back to the palace.
However, I decided to push through. Adelia Bavaria is my maid. I had a lot of time talking to her.
It wasn’t the case for the descendant of the Eli family. After today, I won’t be attending another meeting like this.
“Your Highness?” She had a frightened deer-like face every time she looks at me. I felt bad.
“Do not worry about it. I’ll talk to you later.”
After opening the door, Carls looked at me, then at Adelia.
“Your Highness, did she do anything…”
“Don’t ask me anything.”
“I’m sorry, Your Highness,” Carls apologized. “Please follow my lead.”
The carriage stopped in a well-decorated garden. There was a large building not far from the carriage. It was a huge white mansion.
Around it was soldiers armed with spears. They took one look at my knights’ and the carriage’s emblem, and let us in.
A man dressed extravagantly welcomed us.
He knelt in an exaggerated motion. His face was like a priest receiving the Holy Spirit. It was burdensome to look at.
“Prince Adrien Leonberger, Prince Bernard of the Eli family, is glad to see you!”
Eli family.
“When Your Highness appeared in such elegant and lean figure, I could not…”
As I looked at the handsome blond man, I immediately checked him. A status window came into my view.
“Your Highness? Are you uncomfortable?”
As I stood there silently, staring up in space, Bernard Eli watched me with an anxious expression.
“No, just…” I laughed. “Thank you very much for today.”
When he saw me laugh, he looked confused for a moment, then replied with a sad expression.
“I hope I can live up to your expectations. This way, please.”
He started to guide us but turned around to speak again.
“Oh, indeed, we have set aside a seat for your knights.”
Carls looked at me for approval. I nodded.
The court knights took off and headed inward.
The inside and the outside of the mansion were two completely different worlds.
The summer night’s air was clear outside, but in this place, a strange scent stung my nose.
As I watched the smoke from the candles lit on both sides of the hallway, I felt like reality disappeared.
“Your Highness.”
The maids going down the hall saw me and bowed their heads. Each time, their bare flesh swing.
They’re not wearing any clothes.
The man guiding us sniffed as if he felt refreshed. “The real thing is further inside.”
“Uh, yes.” I nodded.
We then proceeded through the hallway. Occasionally, when passing by tightly closed doors, I can overhear embarrassing noises.
[Keep on… … ! If you… …]
“Your Highness?”
It seems that I have stopped walking as I heard the sounds.
Bernardo Eli looked back at me with a twisted expression.
“Uh, let’s go.”
After walking for a long time, we reached a big door at the end of the hallway.
“Then…”
He smiled as he opened the door for me.
The sight beyond it came to my eyes.
Naked women can be seen over the smoke. There were also bunches of distracted men holding glasses in one hand and women in another. Some even had women on both sides.
Men’s and women’s bodies melted together.
It’s a completely shocking scene.
Some of the men noticed our entrance and frowned as if he didn’t recognize who came in.
“Friends! Look at who I brought! I almost didn’t recognize him. Come on!”
Bernard Eli announced loudly, his voice echoing, but no one seemed to recognize me.
“Who is it?”
“A new member?”
Men looked at me through the haze and smirked.
“What new member? Let’s welcome, Prince Adrien Leonberger!”
On that note, everyone’s eyes opened wide with shock.
“No! Your Highness! How did you become so muscular! I didn’t recognize you.”
Still, their hands continued to hold glasses and women.
Even with dealing with a member of a royal family, they did not show respect. And no one found it strange.
Ha, like this.
It was the normal way they interacted with the prince in the past. It was what he allowed.
“Your Highness?”
Bernard Eli was no longer as gallant as he acted when he met me outside.
“Come this way.”
He, like other men, had a blurry face due to the smoke. He dragged me inside a cubicle.
Perfect.
Inside were several women who seemed to be waiting for me.
“When I see the beauty of His Highness, my heart is throbbing; I don’t know what to do!”
The women slithered in, whispering nonsense.
“His Highness has arrived, so let’s play properly!”
Bernard Eli said, raising his cup high.
* * *
“Ah, the yolk is so perfect! Slurp it like this! Yum!”
“Hey! The rice is cooked well done!”
On one side, his guests were talking about food and gluttony.
“That’s good, it’s good to touch the flesh once.”
“Child, I don’t want to make fun of you.”
On the other side were lewd remarks.
However, the First Prince didn’t seem to be on any side. He was watching it all silently.
Bernardo Eli stared at the prince. By now, he should have been drunk and insane, whether with alcohol or with women.
However, he appeared overly fine.
It seems that something else changed aside from weight loss.
“What can we do to serve His Highness properly?”
The women, who had been brought in for a high price, clung to the prince with seductive eyes.
“Don’t touch. These clothes are precious,” the prince responded sternly.
Is he kidding? Bernardo Eli thought. The prince was still smiling. He couldn’t tell whether he was joking or telling the truth.
He saw that the woman had an awkward reaction, though.
The woman took off her hand but remained close to the prince.
He spoke to the prince. “Did she do anything that upset you? Should I get another bitch?”
The prince shook his hand. “No, I don’t care, do as you do.”
Someone sat down next to the prince.
“How has Your Highness become so lean? If you have any secrets, please let me know.”
He is the son of Baron Balson.
“If I put a knife in my body, will that happen to me, too?” the fool added.
“Yeah! It won’t work with just a knife; it must be the royal sword of the royal family!”
Bernard Eli turned pale at the fool’s words. Fortunately, the prince was smiling.
“Then, you can be as handsome as His Highness with that sword!”
“Your Highness! Please lend me the sword. There’s a bitch I’m trying to get these days, but my charms don’t seem to work.”
The members continued giggling and babbling around, apparently the same as always.
But why… Bernardo Eli continued to feel his heart shrivel as he watched the first prince.
That feeling got even stronger when Baron Balson’s son brought up the story of Arwen Kirgayenne.
“Oh, I heard, did you break the flower of the Templar Knights? She was eye-catching since she started. She looks great even if she’s wearing armor, but how great is her flesh…”
“Hey.” The prince’s sharp voice cut him off. “Balson, right?”
Bernardo Eli pretended not to watch, but he looked at the scene through his water glass.
In the upside-down reflection, the prince was still smiling as he asked Balson’s son.
Only
“Do you have a younger brother or a sister?”
“Oh, yes. I have one younger brother, Your Highness.”
“Okay, I’m glad to hear that,” the prince said as he picked up his metal cup. “Because the family line will not be cut off.”
“Y-your Highness? What are you- Ouch!”
The oldest son of Baron Balson grabbed his mouth and crashed to the floor.
The prince put down a bloody cup and stood.
This time, he took a wine bottle.
“From now on, your brother is your family’s successor.”
