“So, it was a dream?” Fein muttered... A heavy feeling was inexplicably weighing on him.

Cold sweats were continuously flowing in his back. His dream was so vivid that he thought it was reality. A hint of despair and helplessness were still lingering inside him after experiencing that nightmare where his team and his family died in front of him.

Fein hurriedly ran to his mother and sister to confirm if it was really a dream. He felt very nervous that his body temperature became slightly lower, and his heart rate was pounding crazily.

He really wished that it was just really a nightmare. He won’t lie that even though he was in denial that he won’t let himself love them much because it will just make him weaker. But Fein didn’t realize that they already had a place in his heart.

...

.....

Melissa was preparing their breakfast for today when...

Thud!

The door suddenly opened with a loud bang. Melissa looked in the door’s direction to see who it was. After turning her head, what she saw was her son. His face was a pale face like a sheet of paper, sweat currently drenched his face and clothes.

‘What happened to him? Why does he look like someone who saw the world ending?’ Melissa thought inwardly, full of worry.

Melissa decided to ask Fein. “Son, what happened to you? Are you sick?”

Fein didn’t even respond as he hug her. Melissa felt her son suddenly sighed with relief...

“Don’t worry, I just had a nightmare.” Fein said, while releasing her from his hug.

Melissa looked at Fein for a second. He was now back to his usual self, as if what happened to him previously was just all illusion. She was taken aback. Although Fein was back to his usual self, Melissa felt something subtly change in his son. It was the around his son... She was giving him an illusion of a soldier that was ready to fight on a battlefield. Just by standing beside Fein, she could feel an unwavering resolve coming from him. His back was straight, and she felt her son’s bearing becomes naturally stable and composed.

“Mom, let’s wake up Fey... After all, I still have a schedule in the park with her.”

Melissa woke up in her daze after hearing him. She just decided to keep quiet and attribute his change as a sign of him finally maturing.

‘Yeah, that must be it,’ Melissa convinced herself inwardly.

...

Just like that... Fein had confirmed that it was all but a dream. No, specifically, it was a dreadful nightmare that he doesn’t want to experience ever again. He felt powerless because he can’t even protect the people surrounding him. It was his fault because Jackson’s target was him. They were just implicated.

Fein doesn’t want to feel that ever again. He vowed to himself to become even stronger quickly until no one could stop him anymore. He must control his fate in his own hands!

That’s why he needs to carry out his plans in advance. Because his current self is too weak to even face Jackson. He need to become stronger and faster until he had the confidence to go after Jackson and kill him.

What happened today will become his shadow. Only by killing Jackson will he obtain peace of mind.

It reminded once again him to not become complacent... And that life is fragile, without absolute strength anyone can die at any time.

...

-2 hours later-

Fein was now in the Park with his sister, he also want to have this rest day to unwind and give himself a rest.

Rest is important after all... Work and rest come side by side. Without it, one will collapse eventually because of the accumulated stress.

“So... Fey, where do you want to go first?”

“Brother, I want Ice Cream first. After that, I want to watch lots of magic.” Fey responded enthusiastically.

They are now walking on the road outside the park. There are different kinds of buildings here. The park was very lively, a crowd of people can be even seen not far from them. Kids are running everywhere, some are playing with their dogs while some were enjoying themselves on a playground.

“It’s good to be young.” Fein sighed with nostalgia.

Fey looked at him with apparent confusion in her eyes. “But Brother, aren’t you still young? Hmpmp, why do you always like an old man?”

Fein looked at her speechlessly.

“When did I act like an old man?” Fein muttered quietly with doubt.

It seems that, due to his life experiences. It was inevitable to carry some old habits. After all, his mentality is really mature compared to his age. It seems that he needs to fix this lest someone might notice something sooner or later.

...

-Five hours later-

Just like that, the two of them tried every fun thing they can. Fey was full of energy. Fein wondered where her energy came from with her little stature. The good thing is that he managed to let himself relax a bit after experiencing the horrendous nightmare.

Fein decided to visit the Laboratory that Vladimir’s family promised him. He was very excited, because of this, he can finally carry out his plans and strengthen himself biologically! He has a lot of ideas in his mind about how he will strengthen himself using knowledge!

...

Fein only contacted the number that Sofia’s father gave him, and someone came knocking at his door to bring him to the location of the laboratory.

Fein must say that they really impressed him with their efficiency and meticulousness.

‘As expected of a noble family, everything was carried out smoothly according to my request.’ The location is very discreet and far away from the prying eyes of people.

The laboratory was located underground in the fountain. Fein was really shocked at the resources of Vladimir’s family. He was very satisfied, he must say, because the tools and facilities in the laboratory can even rival the ones that were supported by countries. He can now see just how powerful their family really was...
