Chapter 4

Chapter 4: Natural Born Martial Artist

“Thank you... I guess it’s time for the real training now.” With bated breath, Fein shifted his gaze to their captain.

“You’re really excited, aren’t you?” Michael teased while continuing to say. “So, did you figure out what ability you have?”

Gregory turned to face him after hearing Michael’s question.

“Well, you could say that if I train with weapons, others need to train for two years while I only need five months.” Fein crossed his arms in his chest and responded.

His response was mixed with some half-truths; it’s not that he doesn’t trust them; it’s just that his talent was too unbelievable. And he doesn’t want to draw too much attention to himself.

“Oh, not bad... it was about weapons, and now we have a future grandmaster of weapons on our team,” Michael joked.

“Your ability is undoubtedly useful in battle, and there is a rare weapon in the basement that is compatible with degu energy,” Gregory interjected. He paused for a moment, looking quietly at the picture on his desk. “Your weapon can finally shine again and show the world its brilliance.”

.....

Then he returned his gaze to Fein and said. “You’re welcome to have it; I’ll give it to you when you’re ready.”

Michael just looked at the captain with a strange expression, but as if sensing his gaze, he smiled.

Fein felt perplexed by their actions, but he believes that it was related to the picture on the table.

‘Was the weapon previously owned by a former teammate or friend of his?’

Fein sneaked a glance at the picture of a young-looking captain with a wide smile and on his side was a white-haired man wearing a black suit with a red tie around his neck...

Then he said his goodbyes to them and returned to his apartment after making small talk with them.

...

Melissa was cleaning outside of her son’s room. She was waiting for him to tell her about his new job.

*tik* *tik*

The sky became obscured by dark clouds, and the sky started to cry like a baby.

‘Hmmm... It’s raining, and my son didn’t bring his umbrella,’ Mellisa paced back and forth outside the room...

These last few days... Her son was a little different; She can’t quite put her finger on it, but something seemed off about how he interacted with his sister.

Like how he used to scold her sister in the past, but now she sees him suddenly expressing concern.

He used to ignore her and only speak to her when he needed something... But now he’s taking the initiative to greet her, and he exudes inexplicable confidence.

‘Did something positive happen?’ Will I ever become a grandmother? ‘, Melissa looked at the sky as her thoughts wandered into the unknown.

After all, Fein was usually shy around girls, avoiding them like they were some infectious disease. Melissa was very concerned at that time. Believing that she would die without seeing her grandsons and granddaughters.

Melissa turned her gaze downstairs while she organized the pair of shoes strewn on the ground. Then she noticed a carriage stop, and after a while, a familiar figure of the boy appeared in her vision.

‘He had finally arrived.’

Melissa walked downstairs slowly and steadily; there were a lot of accidents on these stairs last year, so she needed to be cautious.

After a brief moment of walking, she noticed her son smiling politely at her.

“Mother, did you forget what I said? Just wait for me in your room; there’s no need to always wait for me in here,” Fein took a deep breath and explained with a bitter smile.

“I was just worried because it was raining... look at your shoes, they’re soaked with water!”

“Well, let’s go to Fey first. I think she’s already hungry,” Fein said as he walked to the stairs.

“YY-YOU,” Melissa tried to open her mouth, but she didn’t know what to say, so she could only purse her mouth.

‘He’s really a master at changing the subject.’ A self-deprecating smile appeared on her face.

*Sigh*

‘I can’t do anything, can I?’

Melissa could only follow him helplessly.

...

Following a brief reunion with his family.

Fein began to inspect his room to see if anyone had entered; He had always been cautious by nature in his previous life... and it appears to have been amplified this time because the world is far more dangerous.

“Caution is the mother of safety,” Fein recalled a wise man once said.

After thoroughly inspecting every corner of the room, he exhaled a sigh of relief and proceeded to the bed, where he lay like a salted fish.

...

Ranger’s Eye Base

Fein will now officially begin the training; this time, Gregory will teach him how to use Degu efficiently, as well as some basic applications such as how to infuse degu energy into his body to temporarily strengthen it.

Kidd, on the other hand, will keep track of his physical training and spar with him to ensure that he was progressing as planned.

A month had passed with him, continuing to train the basics daily.

*Thud*

Without fusing Degu into his body, he was literally just an ordinary person after 100 push-ups.

This month, he attempted to use his F-rank talent, but it had no effect.

Well, it was already in his expectation that, based on the ratio, F-rank talent will only be one genius in every ten people or one in ten geniuses.

So he just decided to work hard and train his body, and yeah, he didn’t make much progress. But, at the very least, he was able to progress from 10 to 100 push-ups in a month.

...

And just like that, one year passed again with him trying to strengthen his body to build a solid foundation for his future path. Now, his frail body at the start had started to become fit with his hard work. 𝑓𝓇𝑒𝑒𝚠e𝘣𝓷𝘰ѵe𝑙.com

Fein still has enough strength to stand up after 1000 push-ups. he had ruthlessly trained himself to the limit this year.

He even tried Saitama’s training regime, Rock Lee’s brutal training plan, and Might Guy’s brutal workout routine. This year has been hell, but the progress in his physical training has been astounding.

Fein also improved his hunting abilities as a result of my visits to the forest to gain hunting experience when has some spare time. He was surprised to learn that even wild animals give experience when they died. He also discovered that animals that he did not kill didn’t grant him experience.

Now, this is the fruit of his labor...

‘Interface!’ Fein commanded in his mind.
