Chapter 19 Diary Of A Blasphemer
?Opening the door, the first thing that caught his eyes were the bright torches lined up along each side of the walls, in its middle laid a steep staircase that seemed to have no end.
Seeing all this, he didn't choose to go forward but had a rather pensive look on his face.
As a scientist in his previous life, he was fre𝑒𝘸𝚎𝚋n૦ѵℯl.c𝒐𝘮
and seeing these torches, the first thing that came to his mind was
"This is impossible!"
"According to Sebastian, this house has been abandoned for years now, so how could they still be burning?"
"Or is it possible the law of conservation of energy doesn't work in a different world?"
"A.I. chip, scan those torches!"
with a serious face, he couldn't help but ask for
[Scanning....]
[Detects a large amount of mana gathering on the torches]
[proceeding to deduct the reason why.....]
[Error! Error! Due to the lack of data, no conclusion could be made]
hearing another failure from the A.I chip, it crossed his mind that he'd only just recently found himself in this world, and the A.I. chips database and knowledge on this world is still largely empty.
*however I really should find time to study about this world, after this I'll go as Reinhardt if he has any books*
whispering to himself, he began to make his way forward.
Soon time passed, maybe five minutes, ten minutes, or even fifteen minutes with only the echo from his footsteps and slight breathing keeping him company.
Others might have turned back due to the loneliness but none of that had anything to do with Elric as his ever-constant curiosity and ambition for power acted as his fuel driving him forward.
Due to this, before he knew it, he had already reached his destination, and to his surprise what was in front was another door. However, unlike the earlier door, this door was locked.
At the end of the staircase, what stood in his front was a large steel door guarded by a series of locks arranged from top to bottom
however what caught his eyes was not the door, but rather what was beside the door.
Besides the door was a dusty wooden table and chair with a book neatly arranged in its centre.
without waiting for anyone's permission, Elric immediately sat down on the chair grabbing the book in the process.
however, after a closer inspection of the book, his eyes dilated due to shock by the title of the book
'Diary of a blasphemer by Elena Sole'
looking at the title of the Diary, he couldn't help but think of the book his dad left him back in the cave, with that in mind he started reading the book.
'Hello to whoever might be reading this, although I would have liked to meet you in person but given that this book is in your hands, I'm most likely dead or have been declared missing.
Once again hello, I'm Elena Sole and I'm a blasphemer.
Although I for one do not like the name, unfortunately, this name was given to us by those damn dogs from the church.'
Just by reading that line alone, Elric could feel her anger and disdain toward the church, turning over the page he continued reading
'Back then, my ancestors discovered a way to give us 'weak humans' incredible abilities through the blood of special beasts, unfortunately, before they could implement it on a large scale, they were discovered by the church and hunted down in the process gaining the titles of 'heretics, blasphemers, and demons
However, what prompted such a large backlash was not the fact that they were studying such, but rather the fear it brought as they saw the future potential of us humans if we mastered such power.
Due to this, they decided to nip such a possibility in the bud by wiping them out completely. headed by the church of light, a full-scale incursion was launched in order to eliminate all future troubles.
After many years of hunting, most of them were wiped out, leaving only three alive.
The three of them decided to go hidden from the world and pass on their knowledge to the future human race, taking up the names blasphemer, heretic, and demon respectively, the three of them successfully established families passing on their knowledge before dying
And I Elena am from the glorious house of blasphemers.
A few years ago, during my journey in hopes of finding breakthroughs, I discovered one of the original notes written by the first blasphemer
In it, he told the method of using beast blood to strengthen the human body and gain extraordinary power. Unfortunately, before I could put it into action, I was discovered by the church inquisition team, a team specially designed for eliminating us descendants of the three.
After that, I began my life on the run building bases all around Elias in order to spread the fire and make a comeback.
According to the note, it says that human beings can go through five stages before reaching their limit.
These stages are Black iron, bronze, silver, gold, and the last holy or Saint level. As for higher, it states many times that it is impossible for humans to go past the saint level. Too bad the highest saint is still an ant before the weakest God. If not, why can they only go into hiding like rats?
in the lower drawer of the table, you're sitting on, my notes along with the first blasphemers' notes are there, I hope they help you.
And In case you're wondering 'why would I leave such valuable information out in the open without any protection? let's just say I'm also known as 'Elena the prophet'
And a word of advice, don't go through that locked door unless you have holy-level strength, if not great misfortune would befall you and all those you care about.
Take care whoever you are and if you can, could you tell Aoma that mommy loves her.'
Closing the book, Elric didn't have the slightest smile on his face, but rather a look of doubt, confusion, and anger.
"What the hell is going on!"
As someone known for his IQ back on the blues star, he immediately felt something was wrong after reading this book.
"Now that I think of it, from my awakening in the cave up till now, it all seems like there's an invisible hand guiding everything"
"From waking up and feeling powerless then gaining hope by finding the book, to meeting the goblins, meeting Reinhardt and getting this home and finding this diary, it all seems too seamless to be a coincidence"
it seemed like his path had already been laid, all he need to do was just follow the guide, however, the feeling of not being able to control his own fate made him feel powerless
Taking a deep breath, his eyes turned sharp
"Whoever you are, just you wait! I Elric am not a toy who can be played around with"
taking the book and notes in his arms he walked back up the staircase without looking back.
