Chapter 36 - - Shadow Dance

Chapter 36: Chapter 36 - Shadow Dance

In the depth of the Dungeon's depths, With a mischievous smile, he initiated his shadow dance, shadow teleportation, materializing behind the ogre. The conjured shadow dagger flashed like lightning, finding its mark with lethal precision. The ogre's bellow of pain echoed through the cavernous chamber.

Bong's dance of blood had only just begun. In a graceful swirl, he commanded the crimson blood to obey his will, sculpting intricate blades that sliced through the air like deadly serpents. The ogres, once towering and fearsome, now found themselves ensnared in a mesmerizing ballet of blood and shadows. One by one, they fell to the ground, their roars silenced by Bong's blood and shadow dance.

Amidst the fallen ogres, Bong stood tall. He gazed at the lifeless forms around him, he took a moment to catch his breath, his heart racing with the thrill of victory. Sweeping his hair back with his hand. With a determined look, he raised his hand and summoned the essence of their blood. It was a strange and eerie sight as he guided the blood towards himself, consuming it in a surreal display. As the last drops of blood vanished, the ogres turned to dust.

As Bong reveled in his newfound skills and the joy of leveling up, a group of adventurers approaching from behind.

"Strange, there's not a single monster in sight. It's so empty here. Has someone already cleared this area?" The adventurers mused among themselves, puzzled by the unusual circumstances.

"It appears someone is approaching from behind," Bong murmured to himself.

Bong, sensing their presence, remained stationary. With no escape route left as he had already eliminated the ogres in the vicinity, he chose to stay and engage with them. It was a rare opportunity to interact with humans, something he hadn't experienced in a long time.

Finally, the group of adventurers stumbled upon Bong. As they approached, a strange connection seemed to spark within Bong, triggering a flood of memories from the past.

"Wait a moment, these are the adventurers I encountered on my very first day in this world. Fate has taken a peculiar twist, it seems. Perhaps today is the day where I confront my past," Bong contemplated silently.

"Wait, stop!" Commanded one of the adventurers, bringing his group to a halt.

"Who do you think you are, appearing out of nowhere? Introduce yourself," Adventurer demanded, their curiosity laced with an arrogant tone as they confronted Bong.

"How dare you talk to me in such a tone? You should introduce yourselves before questioning me," Bong exclaimed, his voice laced with a mix of surprise and authority.

In a swift motion, he teleported to stand directly in front of the adventurers, his presence imposing and enigmatic.

Seeing Bong teleport in front of them, the adventurers were taken aback, stumbling back in surprise. Their hands instinctively moved to draw their weapons, assuming defensive stances as a mix of fear and astonishment spread across their faces. The display of Bong's power and aura had left them visibly shaken and wary.

"How dare you attack us like that? Didn't you notice the Kithage Empire emblem on our armor? You must be new to this area. We are adventurers from the Kithage Empire, and nobody messes with us," One of the adventurers retorted with a mixture of anger and confidence, emphasizing their status and reputation.

"My, my, there's no need to fear. If I intended to kill you, you wouldn't be standing right here in front of me," Bong calmly reassured them.

"It appears there is an empire called Kithage. These adventurers are from that empire. But I don't see the Elder who attacked me back then," Bong mused silently to himself.

"What should I do? Should I turn them into vampires? No, I need information. Maybe later, Wait I can turn them to get information," Bong contemplated quietly within himself.

Bong's mind raced as he contemplated his options. Turning the adventurers into vampires could provide him with valuable information, but he also realized the potential complications. Being inside the dungeon gave him a degree of anonymity, but turning them into vampires here could lead to their discovery, triggering a hunt that would expose the existence of vampires.

[ALERT]

[Master, if you, umm, allow me, I can tell you how to do it without turning them into vampires.]

Bong's internal thoughts were interrupted by the alert from the system. He realized that there might be a way to gather information without resorting to turning the adventurers into vampires.

Curious, he mentally gave the system permission to provide its suggestion.

[ALERT]

[Master, you forgot about your new skill 'Hypnotic Transfixion,' which allows you to hypnotize them and extract the information you want.]

"Ahh, I forgot. There were so many notifications. By the way, I can see that your tone has changed now, System," Bong remarked.

But then their conversation was interrupted by the adventurers.

"What's going through that head of yours? Spit it out, who the hell do you think you are?" One of the adventurers sneered, his expression a blend of curiosity and arrogance.

"You insolent fools, making my blood boil with your incompetence to address me properly, and thinking that being Empire adventurers can shield you from harm due to your affiliation. Your luck has run out now that you've crossed paths with me," Bong's voice echoed, a dark and eerie shadow surrounding him, emphasizing his presence and power.
