Chapter 1
Chapter 1. I Woke Up in the Morning and Became an Explorer <Seeker>
I woke up one morning in bed and thought to myself.
I got up, then looked at the back of my right hand and saw a strange pattern.
My name is Musou Daichi.
I’m Musou Daichi, a working freelancer living in modern Japan.
I am 19 years old, single, and live alone.
I left home to find a job when I graduated from high school, but I dropped out after three months because the place of employment was so black.
Now, I live by working part-time to make some money.
I may have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
It has been about 30 years since the appearance of “dungeons” on modern earth.
That also means that it has been 30 years since the people called Seekers were born among the human race.
Many [monsters] roam the dungeons that have suddenly appeared in the world.
They overflowed onto the ground, and there was a great uproar, but now countermeasures have been put together. 𝑏𝑒𝘥𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝑙.𝘰𝑟𝑔
Seekers appeared among mankind almost simultaneously with the dungeon’s emergence.
These are people who were given the power to dive into dungeons and fight monsters.
They have been entrusted with the task of dealing with the dungeon.
One day, without warning, someone will “becomes” a seeker.
They say that they awaken to powers and senses they never had before.
I had a sense that I had “become” one.
It was like I was awakened in my sleep.
“[Status Open]”
I said to myself on the bed in my small, shabby room with a rent of 59,000 yen.
Then something like a translucent board appeared in my field of vision.

I knew it: if I mumble “status open,” it will display my own [status], even though no one taught me this.
The translucent board is not a material and is transparent when touched by hand.
But if you touch it with your fingertips, you can manipulate it in various ways.
I knew a few other things that I should not have known in the first place.
That’s what it means to “become” a seeker.
“Okay, let’s go to the dungeon.”
Today was my day off from work.
After a simple breakfast of toast and fried eggs, I packed myself up and left the house.
