The scent of burnt meat drifted to the fairy’s nose. Yet, Adam’s tail robbed him of the ability to breathe or scream.

It was a slow and cruel death mirroring the ethereal agony of his soul. The wound expanded with each second that crawled by, multiplying the searing agony that devoured him inside out. But that wasn’t why he delayed the kill.

Death was death, and he wasn’t one to postpone it to make others suffer. It was a useless risk that could allow them to turn the tables in an ultimate stand for survival. He couldn’t give up on Oberon’s energy either, though.

Oberon ignored him, his eyes fixed on Mab’s back. Unlike Titania, he still believed himself perfect. Therefore, he cursed her in his last moments. What mother brought a demonic murderer to her son, to her people? All for rulership? Preposterous, hypocritical.

Even as Adam’s hammer blasted his skull open and imprisoned his essence in a lightning cage, he only cursed louder.

"What about the remains of the fairy army, though?" Mimi tilted her head. "Do we spare them?"

Shihan nodded. "We’ve helped Mab enough. Let her manage her people once she calms down."

Mimi’s eyes widened as she grabbed Shihan’s shoulders. "He’ll really search for her? Why would I stop him? That’s what he needs most." Her excitement faded in a split second, shadows dancing on her face. "It’s dangerous. Alright, I see why he thought we’ll try to dissuade him."

Shihan patted her head, shaking her head. "He did everything he could to build the best territory.
