Chapter 35: Her mother’s daughter.

Chapter 35: Her mother’s daughter.

Mei Mei patted Mingzhu on the head, encouraging her to share why she had punched Bao Bao. No matter what the reason was, she was going to stand with her daughter. If Mingzhu was in wrong, she would have her offer an apology but if she was right, they would walk out of the principals office with their heads held high. Of course, once they got home, she would give her daughter another talk on why fighting was not always the solution.

Mingzhu jumped down from the chair and stood up. She pointed at Bao and said, "Teacher Ting, Bao Bao called Mingzhu a cutie and said that I was a wild child."

Mei Mei scoffed, they all knew that the cutie Bao Bao had used was not the sweet cutie. He was using it in a derogatory way, belittling Mingzhu. Mingzhu had been called a cutie by Mrs, Sun enough times to understand that it was an insult. "As expected, when the upper beam is not straight, the lower beam will be crooked." She hurled the words back at Mrs. Fang. "Children at this age do not call others cuties unless they hear adults saying it." Looking directly and Mrs. Fang, she asked. "Why is my daughter a topic of discussion in your house?"

"I know," Mingzhu hurried with the reason why Mrs. Fang disliked her. "Last week, Bao Bao stole the special gummies which mommy made for Mingzhu. Bao Bao’s mommy found me when I was going to report him to teacher Ting and told me to hide it for him."

Mrs. Fang leaped to her feet, pointing at Mingzhu as she roared out, "You little cutie, how dare you say lies about my son by insinuating that he is a thief. You are the thief here, you blackmailed me for five hundred yuan. If I did not give you the money you threatened to tell everyone that Bao Bao is a thief."

It was not just Mei Mei’s neck that almost broke as she turned quickly to look at her daughter. "Blackmail!!" she exclaimed. Mei Mei almost groaned at the horror, Mingzhu would be the death of her someday for sure. What run inside the little girls mind all day?

"She is your daughter for sure." C4 laughed.

"More like her grandmother’s granddaughter." Mei Mei grudgingly replied.

"Blackmail!!" Principal Chen and teacher Ting also repeated the word as if Mei Mei’s loud shock was not enough.

Mingzhu smiled and scratched the back of her head before admitting what she had done. "Mother, Mingzhu did not do the blackmail. The money was shared by other babies in class that Bao Bao stole from."

As much as the responsible adults still had so many questions, they turned back to Bao Bao. This was the first they were hearing of the thefts.

"Mrs. Fang, now is the time for you to explain yourself." Principal Chen looked at the woman who was now uncharacteristically silent.

The guilt was written all over Mrs. Fang’s face. She was hiding Bao Bao behind her back. "What__what is there to explain? That cutie is telling lies. My Bao Bao is not a thief, we give him everything he needs at home. Why would he steal from others? Mo Mingzhu that cut..."

A bag slapped her face before she could once again call Mingzhu a cutie. This time round, the bag slap was harder than before. Mrs. Fang could have sworn that there was a brick inside the bag.

She was not wrong, Mei Mei had just used two points to buy an asteroid brick that C4 had delivered to her bag. The brick smashed a side of Mrs. Fang’s nose and unexpectedly, blood appeared.

"Teacher Ting, take her to the nurse’s office quickly." Principle Chen urged.

Mrs. Fang was already shrieking and shouting curses at Mei Mei as she was led out. Bao Bao followed his mother, suddenly afraid of Mingzhu’s mother. As for Mingzhu, she retrieved her mothers bag and returned it her but not before feeling it up so that she could know what was inside and how she could get her hands on it and transfer it to her own bag. The next time someone challenged her, she could simply slap them with her bag. Beating them with fists was too tiring.

Principal Chen cleared his throat. "We still need to discuss Mingzhu’s inappropriate behavior. I understand that she was provoked but physical violence is not an accepted form of defense. If she had hit him once, I would be able to sweep this under the table but she she pumped Bao Bao and pushed him down to the ground.

Then, while others were cheering, she climbed on top of him and punched him in the eye. she did not stop there but slapped his cheeks while saying; "You are not special, I do not need a royal decree to hit you. Even if you are the emperor, this general will break the palace walls and rebel."

Mei Mei groaned as if she was in physical pain while Jingzhe chuckled and Mingzhu kept her eyes on the floor. freёwebnoѵel.com

Principal Chen frowned and shot his best disapproving look at Jingzhe. "This is not funny sir, Mo Mingzhu is being expelled."

"Expelled!!" Mei Mei’s hands fell from her eyes. "You want to expel her just because of one fight, a fight in which she was defending herself from verbal assault by a boy that is taller and bigger than her by the way. He also happens to be a thief."

"And he will be expelled as well." Principal Chen said calmly, "Mo Mingzhu has already been involved in several scuffles this year. More than half of the other parents don’t want their children to be in the same class with her because they are afraid she will hit their kids if they cross her."

"The other babies like Mingzhu, you can ask them. Bao Bao is the bad one, that is why the other babies were happy when Mingzhu beat him." Mingzhu defended herself. The word expel was not new to her. This was her third school in three years.

She was probably the first toddler in the world to be expelled from a day care.

"That is not what is important." Principal Chen replied. "Even though your actions could be considered justified you still beat up a classmate and caused enough physical injuries for this case to qualify for expulsion. If Bao Bao had lost an eye or heaven help us all....if he had died...." Principal Chen sighed.

"But he is bad, Bao Bao is bad." Mingzhu insisted.

"And I understand." Principal Chen said reluctantly.

"So Mingzhu did good." Mingzhu smiled innocently.

Principal Chen groaned as the little girl frustrated him over and over with her simple logic.

Jingzhe carried Mingzhu away from Principal Chen’s view before the agitated man could throw a pen or pencil at her.

"She helped you find a thief and fought off a bully. How can you expel her? Bao Bao is the bad one, Mingzhu did good." Mei Mei took Mingzhu’s place in repeating what had already been said.

Principle Chen saw similarities between mother and daughter now. "Mama Mingzhu, the fight was shared online. Even the mighty little peepstar has posted the video. Before this is spun into a school bullying incident and ruins the image of the school, it is best for both children to withdraw voluntarily."
