When all the crying was finished, Mei Mei was taken to a conference room by her sister and aunt. Inside the conference room were thirty people that had been waiting for an hour. They were not mindful of the wait because they were paid by the hour.

Last was Jun Meilin, daughter of Jun Muyang and Chi Lian. She was almost royalty herself, and she was part of The phoenix group, Jun investments and Jun corporation. She was also one of the founders of Space M and wife of the most famous space pilot in their country.

Any of these three women divorcing was a big deal.

"Thank you all for coming." Manchu said as they sat down. "I will go straight to the point, my niece here is divorcing." She pointed at Mei Mei who was sitting between her and Rose.

"I am guessing that you are all getting a sense of how big a deal this divorce is." Rose said.

The lawyers got to work, some pulled out papers and pens, others retrieved recording devices. More than half of them were already telling their assistants to send them all the information Mei Mei and Mo Liang available publicly from the moment they met to date.

"In front of all of you is a microphone so when you need to speak talk into it." Manchu told them.

One of the lawyers asked the very first question which all of them wanted to know. "There are thirty of us here in this room and we are all from different law firms. I am sure you can understand the confusion."

Another lawyer smirked, "Don’t be slow, we are here as a preventative measure to ensure that Miss Meilin’s soon to be ex-husband does not hire any of us since we have met with her."

"Wrong." Manchu said. "And correct." she added. "You are all here because the royal family has taken an interest in the divorce. Some of the lawyers muttered while most nodded, for them it was easy to put one and two together.

A hush fell over he room after the name was said. The funeral of the dead space pilot had been widely televised and his grieving widow had been a point of focus nation wide all day yesterday.

"Isn’t she the mother of the national space baby?" One of the six female lawyers in the room asked.

Mei Mei scoffed and Manchu responded to the question amidst murmurs. "Yes she is. The national space baby is the product of that affair."

In the room, roars got louder, gasps and various words expressing shock were heard.

"Wait a minute." The same female lawyer said, "You mean the child is biologically Mr. Mo Liang’s son?"

"Yes." Mei Mei confirmed.

"And they are parading him around!! Are they crazy?" The same lawyer slammed her hand on the table. She could not believe the boldness of the cheating couple.

A male lawyer chuckled and said, "This explains why the royal family is interested in Mr. Mo’s family affairs. That child is a source of pride for the empire. "There are thirty of you here, I am willing to pay each of you ten million to work on this case." Rose said without flinching.

"That amount will be matched by me and her uncle." Su Manchu added. "If it becomes difficult, more will be added. We are looking to make a statement with this divorce. Mei Mei is a Jun and a Chi. Nobody messes with our families. By the time this divorce suit is settled, Mo Liang should be broke or on his way to being broke. The lawyers were already excited at the thought of earning ten to twenty million, when it doubled they almost danced for joy. With money, everything was possible.
