Chapter 43

Two Little Cuties (2)

This kid was so annoying. Yu Qingshi didn’t like her at all.

Yu Wencheng was surprised. His heart was filled with joy and his old tears almost burst out.

When his son’s illness was at its worst, he would lock himself in the room and let no one see him. The psychiatrists and elders in the family took turns to coax him, but he was not willing to open the door. If you kept forcing him, he would refuse to eat. It was causing a headache.

When he found him a doctor, the doctor had to build up a relationship with the boy for a whole week before he was willing to say a single word to the doctor.

Jiang Xiaoman was amazing.

She could already make him talk on their first meeting, and made him say so many words too.

It seemed that he really should find him a playmate of the same age.

Yu Wencheng put the child down and endured his excitement, saying, “Dad will be talking with this uncle about business for a while. Can you go play with Xiaoman first?”

Yu Qingshi frowned and shook his head.

“Be obedient.”

He shook his head again.

Jiang Xiaoman’s eyes were spinning wide open, those pair of eyes under her bangs was very cute and lively.

Grandma told her to treat guests well, so she must treat her new friend well too.

She stuffed the metal box into Yu Qingshi’s hand and pulled him. She assured Yu Wencheng, “Don’t worry, Uncle Yu, I will protect him.”

Xiaoman turned her head and said to Yu Qingshi, “I will take you to see something fun.”

Yu Qingshi had the metal box forcibly stuffed into his hands and could only hold on to it, fearing that it would fall to the ground. He didn’t have any chance to struggle and was dragged away by Jiang Xiaoman.

Why was she so strong!?

Regardless of whether Yu Qingshi was willing or not, Jiang Xiaoman dragged him away.

The two children sat on the cyan stone steps, looking at each other.

He looked around a bit then silently turned his head, wanting to find a corner to hide.

But when he moved away, Jiang Xiaoman dragged him back.

“Don’t run, kids should be obedient.”

Yu Qingshi was frustrated. He did not want to talk, but if he didn’t, he would have to endure her looking so proud and matter-of-factly.

He was not a kid!

“I am four years old.” Yu Qingshi said frustratedly.

Jiang Xiaoman was very happy and held up three fingers. “Me too. So you have to be obedient and not go where you are not allowed to. You can’t go to the river, and you can’t play with fire, water, or knives. You can’t go into the mountains. When the adults aren’t home, you should stay at home obediently. You must not listen to strangers, and you can’t go with them even if they gave you candies. If you see a bad person, you should call for help. You must not open the door for people you don’t know…… There’s a kid named Zhou Haiyang here. He is very disobedient and often climbed the trees to pick bird eggs and went down the river to catch small fishes, and gets spanked every day.”

Who wanted to climb trees to pick bird eggs or go down the river to catch small fish anyway? He was not so naïve.

He made a cold expression and returned the metal box to her. “I’m going back to my Dad.”

After that, he left without looking back.

Just before he walked out the door, he heard a soft sobbing sound behind him.

His small face wrinkled, and when he turned around he saw Xiaoman secretly wiping her tears, crying very sadly.

He didn’t bully her, right?

Jiang Xiaoman also looked at him anxiously while crying and sobbing. “Do you hate me? Will you never forgive me? Teacher Tang said that a good kid knows their mistakes and makes amends. I shouldn’t have broken your thing the other day. I apologized to you already, don’t hate me anymore, okay?”

She was crying so pitifully.
