706 Bai Jing Jing Felt Like a Star!
Just as Fu Chen had expected, he really lost the match against the two brothers.
Fu Chen wanted to shout that it was an injustice. However, it would be too much since he was competing against two children.
As he left the basketball court, Fu Chen could sense that his siblings were watching him with their pair of judgemental eyes. f𝗿𝗲𝒆we𝚋n૦𝘃𝚎𝒍. 𝒄o𝚖
Their brother had lost a match against two kids who were younger than him. Fu Chen’s siblings were questioning whether their brother really knew how to play.
Fu Chen thought that playing against the two brothers was almost the same as having a one-on-one match against someone his age.
He could not deny that he was a little jealous of the brothers’ talent. But seeing that their aunt too was good at basketball, Fu Chen guessed that playing basketball was something that the kids were trained with from a young age.
Meanwhile, Bai Jing Jing was very happy to see that her brothers had returned to her side. The little girl continued to clap while praising her brothers in her sweet voice.
After a while, Bai Jing Jing turned to her aunt and pointed her tiny finger at her chest. “Aunt. Jing Jing play basketball.”
Bai Xi Xi crouched to get to the little girl’s level. “Jing Jing also wanted to play?”
.....
The little girl nodded.
Anyway, this would not be the first time she had held the basketball. Previously, Bai Jing Jing’s parents would also let her hold the ball, wanting to let her be familiar with the basketball.
Bai Xi Xi carried the little girl and entered the basketball court. After wiping the ball a little bit, Bai Xi Xi let her niece play with the basketball.
The little girl held the ball with both hands. Her legs were a little wobbly as she tried to walk while holding the basketball at the same time.
Because of it, Bai Xi Xi had to stay close to the little girl as she was afraid that Bai Jing Jing might fall.
Bai Jing Jing recalled the way her brothers would play and tried to bounce the ball on the floor. However, the ball only rolled to another place.
Seeing this made her feel a little frustrated.
Fortunately, Bai Jing Jing did not have to chase after the ball as her aunt had caught the ball for her.
Bai Jing Jing held the ball with her hands again. Then, she turned around and looked up. The hoop was too tall and she did not know whether she could shoot them just like her brothers had done.
However, there was a determination in her eyes. Bai Jing Jing really wanted to shoot the ball into the hoop.
“Do you want to shoot the ball into the hoop?”
The strange voice made her look away from her target. Bai Jing Jing turned and saw the tall, big brother crouching beside her.
She stared at him for a while and saw him pointing at the hoop.
“Do you want to try shooting?” Fu Chen asked again.
Initially, Fu Chen walked into the basketball court, wanting to talk to Bai Xi Xi and consult her about the school’s basketball team. However, he was amused by the way Bai Jing Jing was staring at the hoop with such determination.
Bai Jing Jing held the ball tightly and nodded. “Jing Jing, shoot.”
Fu Chen flashed her a smile. “Then, should I help you?”
The little girl stared at Fu Chen in puzzlement, wondering what this big brother wanted to do.
“Then, Jing Jing, hold the ball tightly, alright?” Fu Chen spoke.
Bai Jing Jing nodded and did as she was told. Before she could figure out what was about to happen, Bai Jing Jing felt her body lifted up high.
Her eyes went wide as she tried to figure out what was going on. Subconsciously, Bai Jing Jing held the ball in her hand a little tighter.
“Jing Jing, you can score now.”
Bai Jing Jing searched for the voice and finally found out that the tall, big brother had carried her up high. She looked up and suddenly saw that the basketball hoop was very close to her.
Her eyes lit up. At this time, Bai Jing Jing suddenly knew what she should do. She stretched her arms and drop the ball into the hoop.
Then, the sound of the basketball falling on the floor resounded.
Her heart grew excited, thinking that this was the first ball she scored.
Bai Jing Jing swept her eyes around and finally saw her aunt who was standing not too far away. “Aunt!” She stretched out her hands, wanting to let her aunt take her.
Once her aunt had taken her back, Bai Jing Jing hugged her aunt tightly and laughed. After a while, she pulled away again and looked at her aunt with a bright smile on her face. “Aunt. Jing Jing scored.”
Seeing Bai Jing Jing’s excited face made her laugh. Bai Xi Xi patted her niece on her head and kissed her chubby cheek repeatedly. “Un. Jing Jing is great.”
Then, her brothers came over to celebrate as well.
Bai Jing Jing urged her aunt to put her down as she let her brothers hug her. Bai Jing Jing felt like a star!
Fu Chen probably did not think that the little girl would be this happy. After watching the little girl celebrating with her brothers for a while, Fu Chen turned to Bai Xi Xi and saw her smiling back at him.
“Fu Chen, thank you.”
He scratched his nose with an awkward look on his face. “That was nothing.”
“Well, you made Jing Jing very happy,” Bai Xi Xi pointed out.
“Mmm... I saw that she was staring at the hoop for a long time and thought that I should give her a hand.”
Just then, Fu Chen felt someone tugging at his clothes. He turned around and saw that his siblings were all looking at him with their expectant gaze. “You guys... what’s wrong?”
“Brother, we want it to,” Fu Ling spoke.
“Un.” Fu Bao nodded.
“Brother, carry us up so that we can score too.” Fu Yan added.
Fu Chen stared at the siblings and finally realized that he had put himself in deep trouble.
