Chapter 25
Chapter 25: Answer The Damned Question
CHAPTER 25
Only one question hung on Jade’s lips now. One single question that plagued her dazed mind.
“How did you...”
But before she could finish her question, Arctic answered for her. He knew she wasn’t expecting any of this to happen and she was a bit shocked. “Your necklace.”
He heard her swallow hard from the other end of the phone. He knew it was now that it clicked. He had never told her about it, but her father did install a tracker and a communication device inside her key necklace.
She always wore it, so he could monitor where she was and where she was safe or not. After some seconds passed, Jade blinked and smiled into the phone. “So that’s how huh?”
“Yes boss, forgive my rude outburst just now,” Arctic apologized to her, regaining his composure and giving the respect due to her.
.....
“It is alright. I know you were concerned about me. And it is as they said, the Anders Group are involved as well.”

Minutes later, a car drove to a stop in front of one of the streets and Xander entered. Minutes later they were in a big mansion, with expensively decorated walls, floors and inner design.
The chauffeur came down and rushed to the back seat door where Xander was seated in and opened the door for him.
Xander stepped out of the car majestically and without paying any attention to the chauffeur, he walked towards the mansion.
By the time he got inside, the maids greeted him with a bow and informed him where their young master was.
“Hmm.”
Exuding much elegance and dominance, Xander walked past them and headed for the second living room up the stairs.
Everywhere he set foot on, was laced with expensive marble tiles. The walls were decorated with intricate designs and gorgeous paintings that looked like they must have caused a fortune to attain.
It did not take long, he was already on the first floor and heading for the grand living room. Upon entering the bright light welcomed him into the beautifully decorated room.
It had a lovely big chandelier hung on the ceilings with a touch of gold, white and black decorating every other thing in the living room.
At the centre of the big living room were the couches, which were of different colours as well. One was white, the other black and the big one in the middle, gold.
A young man sat gracefully with his legs crossed on the golden coloured chair with a glass of champagne in one hand while the other hung lazily on the top of the couch.
He was wearing black leather trousers and a cream coloured shirt with half of the buttons opened, exposing his muscular chiselled chest.
From the way he sat, to the one-sided smirk plastered on his gorgeous face and his wet messy hair, showing he just left the bathroom not too long ago, one would mistake him for a high-class model.
Scratch that, he even beat all those male models to shame, but when compared to Xander whose prestige and looks killed all others, he was on a whole lower level.
The moment Xander got to the centre of the big living room where the blond-haired young master was seated, he gazed down at him coldly as though his eyes would pop out popsicles anytime soon and he would freeze the handsome young man in his seat.
Xander arched a brow at him as if saying ‘What the hell!’ but the young man did not flinch.
After some seconds, he threw his hands in the air lazily and dropped his wine glass on the table at the side of the golden chair where he sat.
“Can’t I enjoy being the boss for once?” he thoughtlessly spoke as he got up majestically.
“Perhaps in your next life, but even then, I am still the Lord,” Xander said. His voice was as cold as ever but with a hint of amusement in them, as he looked at the man standing before him, before he made his way to sit at the black chair to the right, with one leg crossed on top of the other.
“Mind telling me what all that ruckus was about?”
“Is that any way to welcome me? I see Jenny has taken away your manners and left me with a mischievous Sky. First, you want to enjoy being a boss and now this... Tsk tsk tsk, perhaps I should teach you a lesson first.”
Although his words carried weight, the tone in which he said them and the grin on his face made one know he was joking.
“My manners, welcome, great Xander,” Sky jokingly said. “Now, answer the damned question Xan, what happened? Where the hell were you?”
