While the nightmare approached, memories of when he decided to commit suicide flashed before his eyes.

*"I could never do such a thing, you know me!!" Derek pleaded with the construction inspector. The inspector squinted his eyes. "I'm not sure I know you anymore".
The young man scowled at Derek. He faked concern. "I spotted Derek selling the materials last night, but he was sly, so I couldn't catch him. He must have been planning to steal from the site for a while.".
The inspector glanced at his nephew, he knew he was a good kid and he never disobeyed him so he fully believed him and stared at Derek angrily "After everything I've done for you, I gave you a job so you could get out of your miserable life and this is your repayment!"
He shouted at Derek with his saliva spilling on Derek's face, but Derek never cared. He knelt on the ground and begged, "Mr. Philip, I did not steal any material, I swear!!".
"Hump, prepare yourself for you will soon be in jail, you thief", the inspector scowled and walked away, he was not afraid of Derek escaping, he knew everything about Derek so he knew Derek couldn't afford the transport to escape the city.
The brown-haired man sneered, chuckled, and kicked Derek's chest, the kneeling Derek fell on the ground groaning in pain. The brown-haired man bent his head and said, "You're a thief Derek, a poor miserable thief".
Derek glanced at him and said, "Why!..., I thought we were friends".
The brown-haired man scoffed, "I can never be friends with a poor stupid guy, this world would be better off with wretched people like you behind bars, no one needs you, Derek, why can't you see it," he stood up and walked away, Derek heard the sound of their car zooming off.
He lay flat on the ground and stared at the beautiful sky littered with stars and a full moon, he smiled, "maybe some people aren't meant to be in this world, that's why it rejects them", he said with tearful red eyes, after all his struggles he will end up in jail for a crime he didn't commit, he had no money to feed so how could he call a lawyer.
He got up and walked towards the gates of the site. The place was silent. Even the night guard was nowhere to be found. "he must have gone to the club, " Derek muttered.
Here was someone who never does his job, but no one cared. He had been bribed by the brown-haired man, so the inspector had no reason to doubt when the night guard confessed against him.
The site was close to the river, so he had to cross a bridge to get to the mainland where he lived when he left the site he grumbled and cursed everyone he knew on TV who had a great life, he stared at the sky and hollered "I also hate you too I wish I never see a moon in my next life." the moon was his only witness but it did nothing to defend him, where were the so-called gods, where was their justice.
He regains his senses when he heard a loud horn, before he could react, BAM!, The side of the speeding truck hits him, the force flung him off the bridge into the raging river, Derek's fragile body barely survived the truck, he drowned in the river, a pretty bad way to die.*
Derek came back to the present with his eyes glowing with bright silver light. His dagger grew longer and another dagger appeared in his other hand. Derek was still subconscious, but his body had begun to act. He threw his dagger into the air; the nightmare noticed his movements and shot a spike at him. WHOOSH! A black mist appeared around Derek's body and he disappeared. He appeared mid-air and vanished once again.
When he appeared, he was sitting in the same position he disappeared from and both his daggers had green blood dripping from their blades. The nightmare staggered for a while and fell to the ground with green blood pouring from a gaping hole at its neck.
Derek didn't even spare a glance at the nightmare, he just stared at the ground with blank eyes whilst black mist surrounded him and his eyes glowed with silver light, great changes were happening in Derek's body, first, he grew taller, from 173 cm to 188 cm, his scrawny body grew muscular with sculpted contours and firm eight abs appearing, his entire being changed, from his cells to his whole frame, a drastic change occurred.
When his body stopped changing, his daggers began to change. The image of a western dragon formed on his right dagger and on his left dagger an eastern dragon formed. Silver engravings slowly appeared on both daggers and their Sharp edges glowed softly.
Thirty minutes later, Derek regains consciousness, and the familiar dark sky welcomes him, but something was different. The sky was somewhat grayish. Derek was confused. He looked around and everything appeared in gray with some streaks of light flashing through. He was confused. Everything was the same, but what was wrong with his sight?
Derek got up and looked down, his pants were now undersized and they were very tight, he gripped them and ripped them from his knees down, his former pants became a short, Derek was stunned at the sight of his protruding chest and tight eight abs, but his main worry was his sight, although he can see everything their colors were strange.
He raised his head and stared at the nightmare that lay dead with a slit throat. He brought the two daggers, that were almost long enough to be a short sword, close to his face. The connection he felt with them was so amazing to him and new to him.
His thin lips curled up and his hands left an afterimage as the dagger flew out of his hands, not even a second passed and Derek appeared far away from his previous position and mumbled, "I've never heard of a teleporter with two daggers before and their daggers are not this long, right?" He questioned himself. He shook his head and walked towards the place. He saw a teleporter. dagger When he saw the dagger, he prepared to pull it with all his might.
Well, last time the dagger didn't even budge, and now he had muscles it should be different. He bent, dropped both his daggers on the ground, and gripped the other dagger pierced into the hard asphalt road.
Derek hadn't even used his strength, but the dagger came out smoothly, he never bothered thinking about it and brought the dagger close to his own, his eyes widened, the two daggers were different, from what he knew, teleporter's daggers have golden engravings but his daggers had silver engravings and his dagger was way longer than the one he just pulled from the ground.
Derek squinted his eyes and threw the dagger away. The next instant, a loud sound quaked his eardrums, and he turned back, his eyes filled with vigilance. But Derek was stunned when he saw a destroyed car was almost split into two by the dagger he threw.
Staring at his hands, he finally realized something was wrong, his awakening wasn't normal, his physical enhancement was way too overpowered, and the speed at which he killed that nightmare was impossible for a newbie teleporter even some veterans could not do it and from what he could feel, his powers were way more than this.
Derek's eyes flashed, and those nightmares will pay for the pain they had caused him, his feet tapped the asphalt road with force and ran towards a specific direction, the spot his feet tapped cracked, and on his way, Derek kept on vanishing and appearing tens of meters ahead.
He needed to get familiar with his powers before the rescue team from the other stronghold arrived, but before that, he had to check something first.𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐧𝗼𝘃𝐞𝐥.𝗰𝐨𝗺
