Chapter 18 - Battle Tactic

Chapter 18: Battle Tactic

Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

Fire Lord Galaxite was laying on the ground quietly as a stealthy arrow sniped its head out of the blue.

“Hiss!”

Galaxite was furious. It turned its head around and saw Li Yi.

Galaxite used its same trick. It rushed toward Li Yi as it opened its mouth, spouting fire at him.

Li Yi was located at the deepest area of the cave, quite some distance opposite from where Holy Pure Eh and the others were. They positioned Galaxite at the center of the team.

Although the Fire Eruption’s power was about average, it was an AoE 1 Attack and everyone in the area, regardless of how many of them, would suffer the same damage.

Li Yi ambushed it from the back. This made it so that it turned and faced him, ensuring its fire would not be able to land on Holy Pure Eh and the rest.

Li Yi jumped high above the ground as he saw the fire approaching him. As he was in the middle of the air, he shot out an arrow and executed a beautiful Tumble, evading the fire below him easily.

“Healer, heal everyone up. Paladins shall split into two groups and attack the Fire Lord from both sides. Make sure you don’t get close to its tail. As soon as it raises its head and roar, get behind the healer immediately!”

Li Yi shouted and Holy Pure Eh and the others seemed to have been stirred as they immediately split into two groups and positioned themselves on both sides of Galaxite, activating their Hammer of Punishment.

Galaxite was constantly spewing fire at Li Yi, yet he was able to evade it every time with his Leap.

The Orc Priest was stunned by Li Yi’s performance to the point where he had forgotten to cast his healing skills. He was holding onto his wooden staff tightly with both of his hands as he stared at Li Yi.

Li Yi shouted, “Healer, don’t stop healing!”

“Ahh…” Only then did the Orc Priest come back to his senses as he started healing Li Yi.

Although Li Yi was able to evade most of the fire attacks, he was not able to completely avoid it every time. This was also one of the reasons he wanted the Orc Priest to focus on healing him.

“Hiss! Hiss!”

Then, Galaxite started raising its head.

“Retreat! Everyone retreat!” Li Yi turned around and ran, distancing himself away from Galaxite in an instant.

Some of the people in the Paladin group managed to react quickly and immediately retreated the moment they saw Galaxite raising its head. However, there were a few of them that did not have a fast reaction and were too late in their retreat. A booming noise could be heard as a jet of intense fire gushed out from underneath Galaxite’s legs, spreading across in all direction.

Three Paladins were not able to escape out of the AoE and was instantly killed as the description [-980] appeared above their heads.

“Old Pig, attack!”

Li Yi had already ordered the Mutated Small Wild Boar to attack even though the shock wave had yet to completely disperse.

[Enhanced Tackle!]

[Tear!]

“Whiz!”

Li Yi pulled his bow and released his arrow.

The hardest part after the shock wave was to maintain Galaxite’s Aggro. If Li Yi did not go all out in this heated moment, Galaxite’s Aggro would spread, and the whole team would be wiped out if it turned its head toward them.

“Come back. Old Pig!”

Once Li Yi noticed that the Aggro was stable, he immediately put the Mutated Small Wild Boar into Idle Mode and it quickly returned to Li Yi’s side cheerfully.

“Hiss!”

Galaxite gave out a soft cry. It instantly stood in front of Li Yi and swung its tail.

He leaped and evaded the attack!

[Air Shot!]

[-40]

Li Yi barely managed to evade the sweep attack. Then, he started running a few steps, widening the distance between Galaxite and himself.

Holy Pure Eh and the others were stunned as they witnessed the actions…

He had evaded the fire while adjusting his positions in the middle of the air. He even managed to distance himself away from the Boss as the latter came near him. Despite the small amount of fire that had burnt him after fighting the Boss for such a long time, The Boss’ powerful attack was completely ineffective against him.

The Paladins stared at each other as they were completely stunned.

“Hiss! Hiss! Hiss! Hiss!”

Galaxite was furious. It rushed towards Li Yi as it swung its head and shot out another fireball at him.

Li Yi only needed to move to the left, evade to the right and took a step back. These three incredibly simple steps were more than enough to evade Galaxite’s three hit combo.

“Go. Continue attacking from both sides!”

Li Yi firmly kited Galaxite’s head to the inner region.

“Attack!”

Holy Pure Eh screamed at the top of his lungs. Everyone’s morale was increased and moved forward hastily…

Once they understood the strategy, the Boss would eventually be killed as long as Li Yi did not make any mistake.

The Holy Light Glory Knights was a guild that had quite a personality in the King of Pantheon. Their guild had only one rule: only Paladins were allowed to join.

They were only recruiting Paladins and regardless of how strong or skilled one was, the Holy Light Glory Knights would never accept anyone who was not a Paladin.

“Hammer of Punishment!”

“Hammer of Punishment!”

A series of Holy Light flashed as Galaxite’s HP reduced steadily.

The White Elf Wizard and Werewolf Vagabond had left a long time ago. However, the four Paladins that were already out of the battle did not leave as they were from the Holy Light Glory Knights.

Initially, they were spectating the battles from the sideline with a spirited attitude. However, as Li Yi showcased his exquisite battle tactic, they started to feel shocked.

The fact was placed directly in front of them. As long as there was no major mistake, the Boss would eventually be killed.

Four of these Paladins felt embarrassed and bashful as they rushed towards the Boss without listening to Holy Pure Eh’s command, resulting in their inevitable deaths when they took damage.

They did not request to be in the party as they did not have the dignity to do so.

[Dark Wing has invited you into the party…]

[Dark Wing has invited you into the party…]

All four Paladins had received the party invitation at almost the same time. They raised their heads in disbelief as they looked at Li Yi who was evading in the middle of the air…

[Daxiong has joined the party…]

[Flying Fire has declined to join the party…]

[Dusty Decree has declined to join the party…]

[Big Pear Mountain has declined to join the party…]

[Daxiong has left the party…]

They were too embarrassed to accept the invitation.

The Boss’ HP was currently at about 20%. If they were to join the party now, it meant that they would be part of the first team to kill the boss. However, this first kill was, without a doubt, a huge slap on their own faces from their perspective.

“If I were in your position just now, I would not have believed that an Archer can be the MT and would have withdrawn as well. Your decisions are not wrong. What’s wrong is that we’re unfamiliar with each other.”

Li Yi turned around and shot an arrow as he sent party invitations to those four once more.

Trust was built with familiarity as the foundation. Would one simply trust a stranger even if he really had the skills?

[Daxiong has joined your party…]

[Flying Fire has joined your party…]

[Dusty Decree has joined your party…]

[Big Pear Mountain has joined your party…]

The four Paladins’ eyes turned red. Despite the fact that they had mocked him throughout the fight, he did not mind it. Instead, he had decided to allow them to be part of the world’s first kill.

“Everybody, don’t lose focus. Everyone, attack at full force. Priest, take a rest to recover your MP as the Boss is about to go Berserk!”

Galaxite’s HP continued to drop as the HP bar above its head started to turn blood red.

The majority of Boss with Fire Attribute was able to use Berserk Skill or something similar. Naturally, Galaxite was no exception.

“Hiss! Hiss! Hiss! Hiss!”

Galaxite raised its head; its whole body had turned blood red.

Its health had 5% remaining left, and it had gone berserk!
