Chapter 51: Kruder

The Fire Dwarf Wizard Kruder held a Fiery Staff in his hand as he stood silently on the Fire Altar. Two Fire Dwarfs who had more than 200000 HP each were patrolling with a huge sledgehammer in front of him.

Li Yi’s responsibility was to kite these two Elite Leader-level fire dwarfs away from the team.

This responsibility was supposed to belong to a main tank and a healer. However, it was clear as day that Hua Feiwu was making things difficult for Li Yi as he wanted him dead.

Hua Feiwu had sent a private message to two of his subordinates. “You and Flying Leaf will monitor Dark Wing’s every action. Both of you will be responsible for kiting those two elite leaders once he’s dead.”

“Understood!”

“Understood!”

It did not matter much to a team that housed 50 men if one of them died. However, it would be a complete loss if the entire team perished because of one person. Hence, Hua Feiwu had made preparations in advance as he made things difficult for Li Yi.

“Let’s begin.” Hua Feiwu rushed towards Li Yi as he spoke.

“Chain Arrow Skill!”

Thud! Thud!

Two arrows were shot towards the two elite dwarfs’ heads at the same time. A gulf of fire sparked above their head as they chased after Li Yi.

“What the hell? Why isn’t he hitting them far away from us? There’s so many of us here. What will he do if the aggro is shifted towards us?” Someone shouted.

Li Yi ignored them as he ran towards the back while he turned his head around to shoot the enemies. He held onto the aggro firmly as the two elite dwarfs passed through the crowd and kept chasing after him.

“Both of you will follow Li Yi and the rest shall attack the boss!”

Hua Feiwu screamed as his grip tightened and released a Dark Magical Ball at Kruder.

The main tanks went to the front line to maintain their position as healers started to heal them generously. The fiery boss battle had officially begun.

Li Yi was running at the front while the two elite leaders were chasing him from behind. The main tank and healer from the Century Flower Guild were even further back…

Despite having a pair of shoes which gave SPD +2, Li Yi was still nowhere as fast as the two elite leaders.

Fortunately, the arrow towers that were destroyed were still around. Li Yi ran around the arrow towers instead of a straight line, leaving the two elite leaders unable to make use of their overwhelming speed.

The main tank and healer from the Century Flower Guild stared at each other. They wanted to go over and help out but they did not as they had yet to receive any command from their Guild Master. Hence, they decided to stand at the side and wait for the situation to unfold further.

Li Yi’s speed gradually became faster as he ran around the towers but the two elite leaders had decided to give up on the pursuit for some reason and had started running towards the Century Flower Guild’s main tank and healer.

“Should we engage?” the healer started to panic.

“We can’t run away and have no choice but to engage.” The main tank had no choice but to run towards the two elite dwarfs and maintain the aggro firmly as he used his shield as a wall to block their attacks.

“Thanks for that. I almost vomited from the dizziness due to running around.”

The main tank and healer were engaged in battle as they fall back slowly. They did not even have the time to respond to his trash talk.

Li Yi felt extremely calm as there was a main tank that knew how to pull the monsters. However, he did not slack as well as he kept attacking from behind. Since his DPS was very high to begin with, the two elite leaders’ HP reduced quickly and one of them died within ten minutes. Then, he started attacking the other one.

As the last elite dwarf fall to the ground, Li Yi rushed to the two with a grin on his face.

“Try and loot it. Perhaps we may get some good equipment out of them.”

Although the party loots were decided by the party leader, the corpse on the ground could be searched by everyone. However, the items could not be obtained by the party members.

The main tank walked forward and started searching the corpse. Then, Li Yi received a system notification. [You’ve obtained 10 Silver Coins.]

This was the end result where the system automatically divided the loot equally to all 50 people.

“We should head out and help them.”

Li Yi rushed to the altar and saw an exciting battle unfolding in front of him. The Fire Wizard Kruder’s HP had already dropped down by one fifth. He instantly knew that it was about to shift into its second stage.

Kruder in his first stage was not hard to deal with as it would only cast fireballs instantly and a sea of fire which deals an incredible amount of damage. One would not die from the fireballs and the sea of fire could be easily evaded. As long as the party’s DPS was high enough in his first stage, it should not be a problem as the boss would go berserk if it took too long to reduce its HP. This algorithm was applicable to all bosses.

The second stage was much harder to deal with compared to the first stage.

Kruder in its second stage had an additional AoE debuff skill.

[The Curse of the Fire Seed. Effect: a fire seed is planted on the player’s body. As time passes, the fire seed will bud and grow powerful. Once the fire seed is matured, it will detach from the player’s body and will randomly shoot towards the closest player within a 10-yard radius, causing 500+ fire damage. Then, the fire seed will continue bouncing to another player with its power being halved. This process will repeat until it reverts into a fire seed. The fire seed will weaken automatically if there is no player within 10 yards and reduce the host’s HP by half as it returns into its original form.]

This skill was extremely overpowered as Kruder would unleash at least 10 fire seeds in one go. The party would definitely be wiped out if the party members did not separate from each other before the fire seeds exploded.

This negative buff would be impossible to counter before the Priest learned the skill Dispel. The only solution thus far was to evade while the person who had been implanted would stay far away from the other party members.

“All of you will die here today, you shameless lowlifes!”

The fire on Kruder’s body turned blue and countless blue dots automatically flew into the players’ bodies as he waved his Fiery Staff.

Hua Feiwu shouted out loud. “Whoever had been planted with the fire seeds, keep attacking. Run to the back once you realize your body has turned red.”

After three minutes, the fire seeds exploded one after the other. It would not be a problem if there was only one running to the back, but the situation immediately became chaotic when at least ten people ran to the back together.

The fire seeds exploded and bounced among each other, killing seven people in an instant.

“Are you all f*cking idiots? Can’t you notice the others when you start running? Run in different directions.” Hua Feiwu had completely lost his cool as he scolded.

Their damage output was drastically reduced since they lost seven people in an instant. Then, Li Yi and the rest came running back and joined the battle immediately.

Li Yi had a very high DPS output and was able to reduce Kruder’s HP quickly. Naturally, Hua Feiwu did not dare to mess with him at this crucial moment. However, one other person thought otherwise…

Kruder released a handful of fire seeds once more and Old Green was fortunate to be the chosen one. He was ecstatic as he immediately ran towards Li Yi.

His intention to damage Li Yi was clear as day.

“F*cking brainless sh*thead can’t even choose a better timing to do it.”

Hua Feiwu witnessed Old Green’s every action. He shouted and kicked Old Green out of the party as fast as he could.

3, 2, 1!

Old Green was automatically kicked out of the Instance Dungeon in three seconds.

“Everyone attack with what they have. I’ll kick you out of the party if you make any mistakes, regardless if you’re from the Century Flower or Dark Empire.” The battle became even more intense as Hua Feiwu shouted.

Naturally, he had his good sides as well since he was able to become a Guild Master of a guild which had more than 500 members. Although he did not mix that well in the future due to personal reasons, one could not deny that he did, in fact, have the ability to lead.

The party was extremely cautious as they were shocked by Hua Feiwu’s actions and no longer collided into each other when the fire seeds exploded.

Kruder’s HP reduced steadily and it had entered its final stage when it had three-fifths of its HP left.

“Boom!”

Kruder’s body exploded as its soul that had caught fire floated in the middle of the sky. The grey-black fire rained from the sky, covering the entire altar instantly.
