Chapter 3794 Tower II
"Well, I didn't expect it to be easy," I said as I looked at the dead body of snake beastman man, which is in the pieces.
The broken formations aren't dangerous in the name. They are dangerous and the dead man in front of me is proof of that.
He was the second man to enter after the Sky Sovereign and he had been rash. I am saying it because he had got himself killed, because I had seen his aura signature and could tell, the speed he moved.
He didn't want the Sky Sovereign to get all the good stuff and tried to match her speed, but he was not Sky Sovereign.
So, when the danger, the Sky Sovereign, had avoided it rather easily, but he couldn't.
There are only a hundred and fifty meters between me and the stairs that take me to the floor below, but these hundred and fifty meters are filled with broken walls and formations.
'It is time,' I said more than a minute later as I stepped forward.
My speed was slow, I moved fast, before suddenly slowing down, turning fast again, and slowing again, one and a half seconds later.
Usually, I didn't move at such a pace when travelling through the broken formations, but these formations moved around unpredictably, and I needed to adjust my pace according to it to pass through.
Soon, I reached the body and it disappeared, along with all its parts and spilled guts. I don't know the man, but I didn't want to leave the body to rot.
Finally, I reached the stars, and I began to descend, careful with each of my steps.
It didn't take me long to reach the flour below and the first thing I saw couldn't help but bring a smile to my face.
There is a large bookshelf; it should have around a thousand books.
The painting earlier didn't have just a tower in it, but it also had the people. Some people sit around and have books in their hands.
I appeared beside it and tried to pull its door. As I had expected; it is locked.
The others are also tried. One of the idiots had even tried to attack it. The power of the protections may have lowered because of the splitting of the tower, but they hadn't weakened enough that Earth Sovereigns could break through them with their power.
Even the Sky Sovereigns won't be able to do that.
Seeing, I won't simply open the door. I tried the softer approach. I placed the hand over its door and sent the wave of energy in.
A second and a half later it returned. When I looked at it; a smile, couldn't help, but appear on my face. the formation is strong, but I could break it.
My clone had already started it.
I didn't stay on the shelf for long. I quickly moved away, and it didn't take me long to find another shelf and I did the same thing.
Soon, an hour passed, and I got the idea about the place, seeing all the proof around me. If I am not wrong; it is a school of a kind; the curriculum is advanced likely; likely grade 4 and above.
It made me happy. I have all the resources; I need and also the artifacts. While I also have the books; the new one doesn't hurt.
Especially when all the knowledge in the library is old. At least hundreds of thousands of years old. There are some new books that librarians before me have collected, but they are pitifully small in numbers.
The books in the library are filled with knowledge of all kinds, but there is still space for more.
It is also a fact, that sometimes, even with all books. I couldn't find what I needed.
It is always a good idea to collect more books for the library. They might not be used to me now, but they might be used to me in the future, or they might be useful to my successor.
I am not delusional enough to think, I will live forever.
Once I die, there will be a new host to the library. I want to leave my mark, like many librarians did.
There is a function in the library, that if I pull out a book collected by the past librarian, their name will appear for a few seconds.
It might seem narcissistic, but I want my name to appear as such. It is one of my motivations to collect the books so crazily.
"These people are really good," I thought, as I passed by another hall.
Not everything is locked. There are many things that are unlocked, and these people have them. They have not left behind, even a single unlocked thing.
While I may not want things. I would have liked it if they hadn't cleaned everything like a tornado.
Hun!
I was looking walked around, when I sensed a group of people. A few minutes later, they walk past me. they are moving fast since there are no broken formations here to stop them.
In just half an hour, they had looked through the whole floor, before moving down. I am in no hurry to do that.
Another fifteen minutes passed, and I moved. This time, I moved faster than anybody and appeared in front of the first shelf in a record time.
The formation had been broken.
As I appeared in front of the shelf, I waved my hand, and the formation came out and covered the whole shelf.
Click!
The formation shone and disappeared, while I pulled the door of the shelf. This time, there was no resistance.
As I did, I pulled out the book.
"Azaeris guide to worldly energies," I said, and my eyes lit up.
The worldly energies are present everywhere, but the books about them are rare. They couldn't be studied easily and those who study them usually are Prime.
As only they could understand the intricacies of worldly energies.
The first book impressed me, and I moved to pull others. hoping they would be as impressive as the first.
