"Those three are newbies, and they entered this school at the same time as you," said Jorge, looking at Edie's group. "Be careful about those three, it's only their first day in here, and they already bullied some newbies for their points. They have the guts because Edie's brother is a teacher here and had already more than a hundred in ATP.
"So if I were you . . . I would stay clear from those bunch."
Too late . . . I wanted to tell Jorge, but my lips were shut like they were glued together.
"Well then." Jorge clapped his hand, drawing our attention to him. "I guess that's all about this school."
Jorge might have noticed our pale faces, so he chuckled and tapped our shoulder after he ate another portion of our salad, of course.
"Don't worry, you two. As long as you follow what I told you, then staying here isn't that bad," he said between chewing.
If only he knew that I already had a history with Edie's group while Thomas turned into a statue.
I couldn't blame him. Edie's group knew Thomas. And us being stuck here meant that it would only be a matter of time before the bullying started.
"Besides, look all around you. Even knowing those conditions, a lot of players still wanted to come into the Academy. They knew it was better to have a comfortable bed and roof over their head than sleep outside and stress about their next meal.
"In here, you can form groups and venture into the woodlands to hunt for beasts and mana core while exchanging them with CR and eventually rake a lot of gil in the end."
When my constipated face didn't change, and when Thomas's expression was like he was slapped with heaven and hell left and right, Jorge continued.
"Alright. To make you guys feel better, let me tell you something about an upcoming event here as an added bonus."
I didn't comment. Jorge could chatter forever, and I wouldn't hear anything he said because of the sharp ringing sound that assaulted my brain.
My head was pounding hard at the eminent problem that I was about to face in this school and how I wished that I hadn't been such an idiot to lose myself at the sight of Amara and accidentally step into that magic circle.
"Ever wonder why there are so many creatures here with musical instruments? And so many Bards came pouring in this town?"
No one answered, and Jorge continued his one-sided conversation.
"In two days' time. Castle Rock will celebrate a festival. A yearly festival celebrating love. It is marked by dances and merriment. Gifts of exquisite treats are often exchanged. Finally, the event culminated in a large bardic competition to crown the best performance.
"And at night. You can take your special someone into this dance where you can enjoy sweet and melodious music, or you can roam around town and enjoy the festival."
Jorge kept saying something, but he might as well be deaf from how we didn't hear him.
Until a group of high beings entered the cafeteria, pulling me out of my thoughts. At their ethereal sight, I forgot all my problems. Just the word beautiful wasn't enough to describe them.
One had wavy black hair with streaks of violate that seemed to glow. There were two thick horns sprouting at the side of her head and curled to her ears and ending to her neck. Her eye was obsidian purple with no white.
She could grace any men's magazine with her body alone and her beautiful face was an added bonus. Busty like Dementia and alluring like Megu. She was a whole package.
I looked up at her information using [Evil Eyes] and gasped at what I found.
Brighid was her name, and she was a demon with some of her ATP already reaching four digits.
'Brighid is an intelligent and dedicated demoness who acts as someone from the nobility. She's generally level-headed and calm. However, she won't hesitate to take charge with her charms and her counterstained smiles and thus putting you in her shadows.'
That was what her information told me.
And the other one was a petite girl with rainbow hair. She was lean but had the right curves in the right places. And her ATP was not to be messed with either. She had ATPs already in the five hundred.
'Demeter may act all shy and kind, but she's mischievous at heart. Yet, she can be whimsical, but she is just so adorable. Her magical talents are some of the best, and she still manages to get the work done despite everything else.' 𝑓𝔯𝑒e𝘸e𝘣𝓷𝘰ѵe𝚕.c૦𝙢
She kind of reminded me of Florin but older.
"That's Brighid and Demeter," said Jorge with a gasp. "Brighid is the demon's representative, while Demeter is sent by the Allied Kingdoms. Those two have a high rank in their respective Kingdoms.
"It wasn't a secret that every kingdom is coveting BUG players. They're probably here for Amara and Jin. Edward is a representative of the Holy Kingdom, of course. And I wonder who would win those two in the end?"
Jorge then leaned and whispered in our ears. "Stir clear from them if you don't want to be turned into particles. The hate it if players annoyed them. Don't ever look them in the eyes, and don't ever speak unless spoken to."
The seriousness on Jorge's face and voice told me that he wasn't joking around. I guess beauty came with dangers.
<Do you want them, Host? A demoness is a good right-hand woman, and that Demeter lady has a rare class as an Astrologist. She could somehow predict the future and she's also a BUG Player. Just willed it, and they would be yours>
As tempting as it sounded, I knew your ways, so the answer is no. 𝒇𝑟𝐞𝐞w𝐞𝑏𝙣𝑜vℯl.co𝑚
<Let me know if you change your mind. Your Main Quest is empty~>
"Well, then." Jorge clapped his knees and went to his feet. "I'll be leaving you two now. If you want to know more information about this world, you can find me in the Academy or in town."
I didn't comment, and Thomas was too busy wallowing in his dread to even care about the present.
Even after Jorge left and went to his next newbie victim, I remained in my seat with a blank expression. I didn't even feel anything when I discovered that Jorge had eaten all the salad and drank our soup. At least he left our meat alone.
But at this time, any feeling of hunger disappeared, and all I wanted was to curl up in bed until seven days passed.
