Chapter 111: True Form

Chapter 111: True Form

Fafnir emitted a growl vibrating in the whole town and slowly started descending again, but this time, he roamed toward a building that alarmed Midgard.

"D-Dora!"

Elizabeth flinched and looked at Midgard, hoping that she wasn’t insinuating what she already knew.

Alas, the snake woman started running in his direction.

"He’s an Avatar! Fafnir will target him! Help him!!!"

She jumped off the building, covered in a long green energy line.

Dora frowned and took his finger sword pose.

"You have all these targets and you still go for me? I don’t like being that popular."

The purple clouds above Fafnir shone in a white color and suddenly the tip of a gigantic sword came from the sky and landed on the back of the giant.

The beast roared and landed heavily on the ground.

He slowly shook his head and turned it toward Dora, despite the giant sword pushing it to the ground.

The dragon spread its gigantic wings and pushed another roar.

Once again, a powerful shockwave crossed the town, powerful enough to shatter the sword, but each shard transformed into hundreds of smaller swords, giant spears appearing from the cloud.

Dora, farther away was covered by blue and white particles.

Then, a haunting growl shook the city.

Fafnir’s mouth opened slowly, a purple smoke gathering inside.

"Voracity"

A red light struck the head of the beast and spread into its mouth, making the smoke disappear.

Midgard appeared, right next to Dora.

On their building, Elizabeth and the Holy Knights watched this scene, surprised by their initiative.

Elizabeth gripped her sword tightly and turned towards them.

"Are we going to stay here and watch them? Why are you all scared? This nightmare has already begun, there’s no point in being afraid! No one will save us, no one will help us, we are the only ones to deal with this!"

She pointed her sword toward the Rift and released her aura.

"You can’t run, you can’t hide, you can’t even hope! The only thing you can do is die, so get your ass over there and give them a flamboyant death to remember! CHARGE!!!"

She rushed forward and jumped into the sky, but not in the direction of Fafnir, but toward the Rift.

The Holy Knights and the guild emissaries raised their heads and followed Elizabeth, screaming with rage.

The sky darkened again, and several roars of death emerged from the Rift.

"They’re here!" Agharita shouted.

In the purple sky, a hundred of dragons descended, with different shapes and sizes.

Elizabeth swung her sword, turning the sky white again.

On their side, Dora and Midgard were facing Fafnir.

The King of Dragons was surrounded by millions of particles from Dora’s gigantic weapons, but could only scratch his skin.

The streets were covered in blue light, the sky with the starry vault, gigantic weapons, and beams of several elements struck the Dragon.

Midgard kept using voracity every time that he was charging an attack, making sure never to let it strike once, but it looked more like a struggle than a battle.

She groaned and jumped higher to reach Dora.

"Hey, can’t you use the same technique as against Iris? With your law?"

"I’m already doing this! But his skin is so... Voracity"

They both fired another red bomb into the Dragon’s mouth.

Midgard frowned, jumping back next to Dora.

"Our only chance is that it’s so big that it’s not that hard to dodge... But if it hits us once, it’s over!"

"... So you want to fight forever? I could end it if you would just synchronize!"

"Cry about it, maybe if you’re tired enough Dora will take your place! I’ll wait."

They landed on the tip of a gigantic spear, among a dozen.

Dora turned to her with an annoyed look.

"And what are you going to do? You’re not going to kill that thing unless one of us gets a body beyond the bounds of both of our species, do you really think you have a choice here?"

A powerful explosion set them off.

Both of them slowly looked at the Dragon who was undergoing a stunning change.

Its skin started to crack like hard clay and the cracks were glowing in bright red.

He uttered a phenomenal roar and, lowering his head, a red light shone in his the mouth.

Dora and Midgard jumped toward him, charging voracity, when suddenly the air around them became red.

"Uh?"

"Ugh!!" fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com

Fafnir released a dome-shaped wave of energy, spreading all around him and destroying the surroundings.

The explosion waves reached the sky, where the other emissaries fought against the swarm of Dragons.

Candace flinched and looked behind her. After the explosion, the giant Dragon’s body began to fall apart.

His skin crumbled and fell off in parts, leaving a magma-like substance on his body.

Candace looked around, worried to see no trace of Dora and Midgard.

The two concerned were under debris.

Midgard’s body was badly injured, her skin was burned in some parts and cut open in others, her legs were crushed, and half of her head was missing.

But she made no noise and showed no signs of pain.

Her wounds were green in color and looked more like green and black jelly and began to regenerate.

An explosion occurred next to her, and Dora came out with minor burns.

Midgard’s body was gradually melting and spreading everywhere.

"Look, parasite, I don’t plan on syncing with you anytime soon, but I don’t want to see all my work taken away by another thief, so now I don’t care about your plan, if you let Dora’s body falls, I will swallow you before you die!"

A phenomenal explosion threw the debris into the sky.

Dark matter rises, swirls, and takes on gigantic size.

Fafnir’s body began to return to its old color, but this time a noticeable As Candace looked on with bated breath, she noticed that a significant change had taken place. The Dragon, once towering and formidable, had now shrunk in size, not enough to not be called a giant, but still noticeable. However, her attention was quickly drawn to the green and black matter that lay before him.

It was pulsating with energy, and as the energy grew stronger, the substance began to take on a new form. The shape that emerged from the swirling mass was both terrifying and mesmerizing, sending shivers down the spines of all who witnessed it.

Dora who was emitting his energy frowned.

"And you dared to call me a monster."

A part of the city crumbled, and a massive whirlwind destroyed buildings while encircling Fafnir. Candace looked pale, and Agharita placed a hand on her head.

"Why did I ever choose to become a knight?" she muttered.

Fafnir was surrounded by a colossal serpent that swirled and rose in the air.
