Since everything had already been settled, there was no need to dwell on it excessively.

Mei Mengzhen, having faced many hardships, quickly adjusted her mentality. Glancing at the living room clock, she thought little time had passed, but it turned out to be time for lunch already.
She hurriedly asked, "Chenchen, are you hungry? Sister will cook lunch."
Mei Mengchen's eyes lit up, "Are we having the vegetables from this morning?"
"Do you want that? Cabbage or potatoes?"
"Either is fine, sister's cooking is always so tasty." There was not a single shred of flattery in Mei Mengchen's heart, he truly felt that this morning's dishes were incredibly delicious, much more so than what their mother would make.
Though she also felt that this morning's two dishes were not bad, there were other vegetables in the space that she wanted to try. "How about sister makes some other tasty dishes for you? If you don't like them, I can make this morning's dishes tonight, ok?"
Mei Mengchen didn't show any reluctance and immediately responded, "Okay."
She settled Mei Mengchen on the sofa, turned on a cartoon for him, and handed him a cup of Spiritual Spring Water before she felt assured enough to go to the kitchen to cook.
Their home's refrigerator was in the kitchen, and opening its door perfectly blocked Mei Mengchen's view. She pondered for a moment about what to cook, then took advantage of the refrigerator's cover to take the vegetables out from the space.
Two dishes, one was scrambled eggs with tomatoes, and the other was green beans with pork, the meat and eggs were in the fridge, she just needed to take out the tomatoes and green beans.
She first took the meat out from the freezer, placed it in a basin, and used Spiritual Spring Water to soak it for a faster defrosting process, but more so to enhance the meat's texture.
Next up were cooking rice, washing vegetables, and stir-frying; with the morning's experience in mind, she didn't feel as frantic as before.
Mei Mengzhen busied herself in the kitchen alone, while Mei Mengchen kept his gaze fixed on her back for a long time, unwilling to look away.
Even though things had been decided, Mei Mengchen still felt as if he was dreaming.
He wasn't unaware of his young age and that following his sister would be a burden, but during his recent days in the hospital, rotating relatives came to accompany him and bring him food. They seemed nice on the surface but would curse him as a freeloader, a thankless wretch, a wild child that nobody wanted, as soon as they were alone.
He might be young, but he wasn't stupid. He understood that these were not kind words. When he retorted, they even threatened to hit him.
Knowing that his sister didn't like him very much at first, he was too afraid to tell on them and had to suffer in silence. But when he heard that these relatives intended to take him to their home, he panicked. He really didn't want to go, so when he heard what his older aunt said, he couldn't help but cry.
It made him feel weak, but he just couldn't help it. He was still so young.
Yet not long after he started crying, he heard his sister say that she wanted to keep him and live together.
God knew how surprised he was. His sister had never been particularly fond of him, something he had known since he was little. As for the reasons why she didn't like him, he had some vague understanding.
Seeing his sister strive so hard to keep him, he felt he had to do something too. So, when the relatives opposed a second time, he burst out yelling.
Thankfully, his sister managed to keep him.
He no longer had to go to his relatives' home and become the wild, freeloading child they spoke of.
And now, he really liked his sister. In fact, he liked her even more than his parents. She would cook delicious food for him, give him nice water to drink, smile, and keep him company. Sleep. He liked his sister like this. Although he was still small, he'd be good to her when he grew up—no, even though he was young, he could still be good to her now.
Mei Mengzhen had no idea that her decision to keep her brother out of guilt would lead to so many thoughts from him.
After serving the dishes, she glanced at her brother still sitting in the living room. Their eyes met, and Mei Mengzhen smiled, "Hurry, wash up for lunch."
Mei Mengchen leaped off the sofa, set down his water cup, and ran to the restroom, then dashed to the dining table.
By that time, Mei Mengzhen had served all the dishes. The bright color of the scrambled tomatoes and eggs was appetite-inducing, and without a second thought, Mei Mengchen reached for that dish first.
And when he tasted it, he was shocked anew, "So delicious! Sister, this dish is amazing."
"Really? Let me try," Mei Mengzhen took a taste and immediately nodded in agreement, "Delicious." The tomatoes were beyond reproach, it was just the eggs that were somewhat lacking.
The other dish was the same. However, because the meat had been soaked in Spiritual Spring Water, both the green beans and the pork had a very nice texture.
This meal no doubt filled them up once more. Indeed, products from the space were always exceptional...
A child's life is nothing more than eating, playing, and sleeping. Mei Mengchen had the habit of taking naps. After lunch, Mei Mengzhen coaxed him to sleep.
With her brother asleep, she wasn't idle. Lying down, her consciousness immediately entered the space.
Even though the nearby vegetable market wasn't convenient for her to sell vegetables, she still hadn't given up on the idea. But to sell vegetables, the few she had tested growing before were obviously not enough. Now that she had some free time, she had to plant more, and the joy of harvesting as soon as she planted was something no one else could imagine.
In less than an hour, the newly planted vegetables had piled up into a small mountain. And with the help of the Osmanthus Tree, aside from scattering some seeds, she hardly had to do anything else.
At this moment, she couldn't help but marvel at the Osmanthus Tree that had been her companion throughout her childhood.
She approached the Osmanthus Tree, touched its trunk and spontaneously praised it. But then she thought about how empty the space actually was and offhandedly uttered a few complaints, "They say you can raise poultry and plant trees here, but where am I supposed to buy these things?"
No sooner had she spoken than a bright light flashed before her eyes.
Mei Mengzhen became nervous, "What's that?"
She wondered what that flash of light was, how it could disappear in the blink of an eye. Then she looked at the Osmanthus Tree again, and a thought briefly crossed her mind—it was after she had touched the tree that the light had flashed.
Looking at her hand and then back at the Osmanthus Tree, she tentatively touched it again, and the light that had flashed by in the blink of an eye appeared once more.
Startled with a shiver, she intuitively understood how to use the device. As long as she touched the tree with her hand or made contact with the Osmanthus Tree, the light would shine.
And this light was no trivial matter. It wasn't just any light; it was an LED screen that displayed an APP called Spatial Mall.
The Spatial Mall was not complicated to use. It was similar to certain future platforms like Taobao and Pinduoduo, except now she could operate it directly with her thoughts.
