Chapter 99: Setting Sail (1)

Lu Feng was a man of few words. At the opposite extreme, Ivanov tended to air his views without scruple.

Chen An, however, had to hand it to him. If what he had done to Ivanov before, including cheating and sending bullets, happened to Chen An, he would definitely give the guy hell. How could Ivanov be in the mood to set sail with him? There were no bodyguards, no cooks, no servants in the boat-- only he and Ivanov, which meant that everything had to be done by them.

Fortunately, the sailboat Ivanov, a tycoon, had bought was highly automatic, so there was no need for them to drive in person most of the time, but things like cooking had to be done by themselves.

"What are you doing?" Chen An saw Ivanov fish several cans out.

With two cans in his hand, Ivanov gestured at Chen An and asked earnestly, "Baby, would you like canned sardines or canned beef?"

Chen An felt as though his stomach hurt at once. Bored as he was in the island, Chen An enjoyed fresh and delicious food the chef carefully prepared every day. Now he was asked to have cans and faced the prospect of eating them over the next days, which Chen An could not in the least endure.

"Leave them to yourself." Chen An walked straight past Ivanov and entered the kitchen, where he remembered there seemed to be fresh ingredients.

As expected, Chen An found some vegetables and meat inside, along with a variety of cooking utensils and seasoning. Now that everything was ready for cooking, why should he lower himself to eat cans?

"Isn't there food? Put cans aside!" Chen An gave Ivanov a stare, who followed him into the kitchen.

Ivanov shrugged innocently and blurted, "I chopped up no vegetable leaves but someone's fingers."

By implication, he was no cooking material.

"Since you don't cook, why did you take no chef with us?" Chen An stared at Ivanov as if he had seen an idiot.

"How could I let others ruin our honeymoon? As to our food," Ivanov pointed to several cans on the deck outside the room, "I've prepared enough cans to eat for three months. You can have whichever flavor you like!"

Three… three months?

If he had known earlier he should have canned food for three months, Chen An would rather not go aboard. He would die on the island rather than have cans for three months in a row, which was more than terrible.

"What else are you asking beside a full stomach? Even I can accept it, how could you say no?" Ivanov leaned against the door, arms crossing, and cast a sly glance at Chen An.

Chen An looked back at Ivanov and said, "I'll cook a meal. Would you like it?"

Ivanov's eyes lit up immediately.

"Come and chop the vegetables. Be quick!"

Ivanov ran over compliantly when 'His Majesty' gave the command. He smiled and moved behind Chen An to watch the man rinse rice, uttering sighs of admiration unceasingly, "You're good at cooking. Fancy that!"

"Not everyone is born with a silver spoon in his mouth like you," Chen An signaled to Ivanov as he washed rice, and said, his eyes fixating at potatoes at the corner, "Peel three potatoes and cut them into small pieces."

"Yes, my baby!"

Ivanov crouched down to wash potatoes while he ran his mouth wildly with Chen An, "Baby, it's the first time I make a meal. I offer you my precious virgin cooking, and your first sexual encounter is with me. What a perfect match we are! It must be fate."

Chen An made no reply. He turned around and kicked Ivanov in the chest.

More than half an hour later, a pot of savory rice with braised potatoes emerged before their eyes. The plump and appetizing rice grains as well as golden potatoes made Ivanov's mouth water. He clean forgot that there were cans to eat.

Ivanov hurried to ladle "Chen An's potato rice" on to his bowl and paid Chen An extravagant compliments with content while he was chewing, "Baby, the meal was absolutely delicious. As a Chinese saying goes, you are really "delivering in the kitchen and in the bedroom."

"Shut your mouth!"

Holding his bowl and chopsticks, Chen An walked out of the cabin, "Take two pints of beer out."

It was a fine day when there occasionally occurred a few white clouds floating across the sky. The sun shone brightly upon the clear blue sea, where you can see at times unknown fish swimming.
