[Remark: Legolas…, you see this guy? He’s a f*cking legend!]

—-

“…” Legolas shuddered; his interface remark was unsettling.

That was not what shocked him the most though, what shocked him the most was the first few tabs when he finally decided to check this wolf’s status.

A Wolf holding 3 titles was definitely no ordinary wolf. Add it to the extreme notoriety and the fact that his virtual interface referred to this wolf as a Wolf Legend, and Legolas was already doubting the logic behind the Vrka Yuddha.

That was not the end to his apprehension. Compared to Akela, this guy’s base stats were off the charts, he literally beat Akela in every category.

‘The f*ck!’

‘Does Akela even stand a chance?!’

Even as these thoughts went through his head, different thoughts went through the heads of the 2 powerful Grade C Wolves who were currently at a stand-off against each other as their eyes seemed to ignite sparks in the air.

Like Akela, Yukon was not a bulky wolf, he had a sleek body that was packed with power and thick streamlined muscles, he seemed like a wolf that was regularly working out, he could definitely win a wolf Olympia.

Despite these similarities though, there were also glaring differences.

Unlike Akela who looked like a charismatic leader who dealt with every problem with his head and his leadership aura, Yukon was different. He looked menacing and dangerous; this was a leader who led through intimidation.

There was no doubt that his subordinates feared him more than they respected him, the sight of him alone was enough to spook any bystander.

With 2 uncharacteristic horns growing out of his head, and with what seemed like electric circuit lines sprawling across his body, this Thunder Wolf seemed anything but normal, he was an anomaly.

“I challenge you to a Vrka Yuddha”.

As soon as Akela said this confidently and loudly, Yukon knew that he already lost the first part of his ploy. His first plan was always intimidation.

Unlike other beasts, intimidation was much more important to him.

His Wolf Warlord of the Narrow Hills talent increased his notoriety and intimidation factor to the extreme, while his Champion Combatant enabled him to derive even more power from this intimidation factor.

If his opponent was intimidated, he already half-way won the battle.

From the beginning, when the invasion started, he knew.

The only reason why he didn’t come out to crush the invaders with overwhelming power immediately was because he already recognized that there were 4 Grade C powerhouses.

Even for a veteran like him, fighting so many Grade C powerhouses and emerging victoriously was a stretch. Redmane’s intimidating display rationalized his cautiousness.

With his defenses mostly destroyed already, with Akela feeling at his peak, his original intention was to suddenly come out and spook the Wind Wolf but it didn’t work. Fortunately, like he speculated, Akela wanted a Vrka Yuddha.

His blue glowing eyes flickered in a calculating manner.

‘A Vrka Yuddha is a double-edged dagger’.

‘If I accept and lose, I risk losing everything, my sovereignty and lowering myself to a Wolf that is beneath my level’.

‘If I accept and win, I gain the most from this’.

‘But if I don’t accept, all 4 of them will fight me. Despite the fact that this is my territory, without fail, if I don’t escape, I will fall’. He felt heavy inside.

Feeling Akela’s challenging glare, he made his decision.

“I accept your challenge”.

His voice seemed to send electrons into an excited state in the air, lightning seemed to crackle through the skies even as his blue eyes glowed with power.

“But…” He spoke again then he looked at the Fox that was faraway with the human. “This is an honorable Vrka Yuddha, a human can’t augment you”.

“Also, to keep it fair, the Fox has to deactivate her ability too”. Yukon’s eyes gleamed as he directed a challenging gaze back at Akela.

Akela chuckled. “Hehe…, don’t worry, I know the rules”.

“Of course, a human can’t interfere, my master won’t interfere”.

“But as for Lucky…” Akela’s eyes gleamed. “A Vrka Yuddha is a battle between 2 Wolf Champions, but Lucky is not actively helping me, he simply left an imprint in me as a friend who supports my conquest”.

“According to what I know, this is allowed in the Vrka Yuddha rules”.

He looked at Yukon. “Is that not?”

“…” The Thunder Wolf remained silent.

The tension seemed to build in the air.

—–

Akela has been affected by the ability: Luck Envoy!

>Luck Envoy: Once affected, Akela will become akin to Lucky’s envoy. He will enjoy part of her authority over the power of luck, granting him luck that is a fraction of Lucky’s total luck<

—-

A tiny bit of Lucky’s luck was crazy, a fraction of it was godly!

It showed.

Whoosh!

The Thunder Wolf moved first as this sleek Wolf charged forward with the speed of a meteorite. He didn’t make any complicated moves yet, all he did was a simple charge, lunge, and bite aimed towards his opponent’s neck.

As a veteran hunter, Yukon almost never made mistakes in his attack runs but this time, perhaps affected by the wind, he deviated by just a tiny margin.

This was the incalculable power of luck!

“Huh?!” This gigantic wolf was shocked.

Even if his teeth connected, he would not be able to severely injure Akela.

.....

This deviation gave Akela all the time in the world to react, and as a Wind Wolf, speed was one thing that he had an advantage over the sleek enemy wolf.

“Speed Demon!”

Akela moved almost as fast as a specter, dodging the deadly lunge at the nick of time as his eyes gleamed the next moment, he attacked.

“Wind Claws!”

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Bzzz!

Instantly after the deadly wind claws were unleashed and as they traveled through the air rapidly, Yukon also made his move as he channeled his affinity for the first time. The skies briefly darkened and soon regained their brightness.

From the brief darkness, lightning descended and now surrounded this wolf.

“Lightning Speed!”

Whoosh!

The Thunder Wolf’s speed increased exponentially but Akela was not having it, before Yukon could put his veteran experience to deadly effect, he went for his normal go-to ability as he grinned deviously.

“Devastating Nature Call!”

“Ability Deviation: Triple Hurricane!”

Unlike before, 3 hurricanes appeared at the same time!

They did not just appear, empowered by Akela’s mana, the hurricanes grew so much powerful that Yukon finally felt a threat to his life for the first time.

This Thunder Wolf dared not hold back.

“Special Thunder Ability: Current Receivers!”

Bzzz!

Legolas’ eyes widened, he finally knew the use of this wolf’s 2 horns.

‘They’re f*cking antennas?!’

Yukon’s blue eyes exploded with power.

“Yukon Specialty: Thunderclap!”

BOOM!
