Chapter 204 - 204 Chapter 201
204 chapter 20Long sighed. “There are some humans who are immune to our spirit medicines and pills. I think she is one of them,”
“What…..what do you mean? It’s not true, right?” Xia mumbled, glancing at the fox demon. With a heart wrenching cry, Bao nodded. “But we can do something. Long, give me your blood. It can heal her right?” Xia whispered desperately.
“Yes, we can try that” Long squatted down and stabbed his hand. Blood poured out. He carefully placed his bloodied hands on her gaping wound. “Xia, get her hair out o the way,” he whispered.
Xia did so. He carefully tied her blood stained hair in a bun, revealing her gruesome wound. “Is it working?” he whispered.
Long glanced at him with an unsure look. He took a careful look at her wound. It showed signs of healing, but it was extremely slow.
“If this goes on, she will lose a lot of blood,” The demon butler mumbled to himself. He looked at his heartbroken master dazedly in the corner and finally acted. He dashed over to their car and brought out the medical kit. “If spirit medicines can’t heal her. Then we only have to rely on human medicine,” he mumbled, wrapping her head tightly in a clean gauze.
“master have you called the ambulance?”
But Bao was too distracted by the sight of blood to reply. Red…..it was completely red, coating his hand and his clothes. He hated it. He hated the loss of heat in her body.
“MASTER!” the butler shouted, snapping Bao out of his dark thoughts. “Did you call the ambulance?” he anxiously said, holding her head on his lap. He carefully tied the ends of the gauze and placed her on the concrete.
.....
Bao watched this silently. “I—I did,” he mumbled.
“That’s good. master Long, I need you to pour some more of your blood on her wound. It seems to stop her blood,” butler whispered anxiously gazing at the dragon.
Without any hesitation, Long sliced his wrist and poured his blood on her red bandages. His blood soaked through, giving the bandage a golden luster.
“Is it working?” Xia asked anxiously. He gripped onto her hand and kept a careful lookout of her pulse. It was still very weak. “Long, your saliva does it work better than your blood?”
“No, my blood is the best,” Long said, glancing at his worried lover.
The butler glanced at the dragon. His mouth moved silently, but he did not utter what he was about to say. ‘I can’t ask for his harts blood.....then…then…’
As he was thinking this a loud siren disrupted his thoughts. “Here!!” he shouted, waving at the ambulance.
The vehicle rushed towards them and stopped right in front of them. Few emergency nurses rushed out with a stretcher and pushed them all away from the patient.
“Back of her head is hurt by the broken headrest and she is bleeding profusely.” The butler whispered, peeping at them from the sidelines. The nurses loaded her in the stretcher and boarded the ambulance.
“Two of you come with us,” the nurse said.
Butler dragged his master to the ambulance and sat him nearby.
“What is wrong with him?” the leading nurse whispered, glancing worriedly at Bao. He noticed a small amount of blood near his ears. “Sir, let me check you as well,” he mumble pulling out a touch. He torched the inside of his ear canal and gasped, “He is hurt as well. Check the others,” he shouted.
Another nurse jumped off and went to the accident site he checked on Xia and Long and made sure they too were not hurt.
Xia pulled Long to the ambulance, but the dragon was glancing at the crashed car with a worried look. He kept sniffing the air suspiciously.
“Long!” he pulled.
“Go without me. I have to conform to something,” Long said, patting his clenching hands.
Xia let go and nodded. “Follow my scent then,” he said. Biting the tip of his fingers, he rushed to the ambulance. He took out a small ribbon and stained it with his blood and tied it to the door handle of the ambulance. With one last look, he boarded the van and left.
Staying behind, Long glanced at his lover with a small smile. After the vehicle went out of sight, his smile disappeared. He briskly walked over to the smaller car and glanced inside the backseat window.
The glass was tinted, so he could not see anything. “Come out!” he said with a threatening glare.
He gripped onto the door handle and tore it from its hinges. “I said come out!”‘ he shouted.
Something small moved below the car seat. Long leaned down and ripped the seta off of the car and tossed it outside. “Are you one who caused it.” He said glaring at the small red ball trembling in the corner.
It was actually a demon fox. Its face was red, and its body was black with the red tip on its tail.
Slowly it peaked its head out and glanced at him. For a second its eyes shone. Whining, the little fox slowly crawled over to him.
Long’s eyes went dark in rage. He grabbed the little thing by its cuff and raised it to his face. “What is a lower demon doing here?” he growled.
“ow, ow,” the little fox cried, spilling pitiful tears.
But Long was not enchanted by it. “Tell me, huh? How did you get to this realm?” He shook the little thing.
The little fox whined a little and nuzzled its snout against his hands.
“Don’t try to act cute. My lover is cuter than you,” the dragon mumbled, raising his eyebrow.
“ow, oow,” the fox shook its paws, trying to get close to him.
Long held it away from his face.
The little fox kept trying. Its pitiful face wet from its tears. It glanced at him and howled.
Longs heart shook a little. He brought the thing close to his face. “Why are you crying, huh? Is it because you hurt that woman?”
The fox’s body froze. “OWW!” it started crying louder, rolling itself in a ball in his hands.
“Guilty now?” Long mumbled softly. He had recently developed a soft spot for little demons like this. “Get lost and don’t try to hurt anyone. Got it,” he mumbled, dropping it down.
The little fox. Dashed to the car and hid under the car seat again. It started wailing and howling so loud that the dragon’s ear buds almost tore open.
“Fine, fine, come here,” he plucked it back in arms. He softly caressed its fur, but he noticed a minor cut on its forelimb. “You are hurt!” he whispered.
The fox whined and wailed.
“Don’t cry, my ears hurt,” Long grumbled. He and wiped his blood onto its forelimb and slowly massaged the open wound. The wound healed at a visible rate. “See, don’t cry anymore,” he whispered, patting its little head.
“I can’t leave you here either,” he thought, glancing at the busy road. He placed it in his shirt and followed his lover’s scent trail. Somehow he could also smell a familiar scent near the car. ‘sheng sheng? Why is his scent here? Was he riding this car before the crash?’ he thought once again sniffing the back seats.
The kid’s scent became quite intense neat the door. “Did he get down?” he thought, rubbing his nose. Suddenly, Sheng’s blood smell assaulted his senses. “What the,” he glanced at his blood stained thumb with a frown.
“Sheng’s blood. He was hurt as well?”
The little fur ball in his shirt peeped its head out and loudly yipped.
Long glanced at it and then at the bloodstain on his fingers. “sheng sheng?” he whispered to the fox.
The little thing yipped again, waving its furry tail at him.
“Oh, lord.” Long took a deep breath and patted his head. “Well, let’s get you to your father and mother, shall we?”
The fox called to him cheerfully, and then its erect ears slowly drooped. It whined and cried, nuzzling against his hands.
“I know. your mother... she will be okay. So don’t worry little thing,” Long caressed its soft ears.
After consoling the little fox, he followed his lover’s scent trail over to a nearby gigantic building. There was the same ‘car’ that picked up sheng’s mother standing outside it.
The fox peeked out and yipped.
Long pushed his head inside his shirt and calmly walked through the door. The scent trail stopped outside and inside there was a strong stinging scent all over the floor. Long closed his tender nose and walked past many humans. 𝒇𝚛e𝘦wℯ𝑏𝓃𝑜νℯ𝒍.co𝗺
There were many people rushing around. Some were standing in line in front of a table.
Hesitantly, Long walked over to them and whispered, “umm, a woman….. She was hurt. She was brought here?”
“Please state the name of the patient and your relation to them,” the nurse behind the information desk woodenly said.
Long glanced around and whispered, “I don’t know,”
